I hate legacytes so much. Not being able to attack them once they cast parasitic link on you and getting punished for allies damaging them is the worst feeling ever. Anyone could be attacking them with a toxin weapon/ability and you could die without having any chance to react. Even your companion can kill you because of this and they won't stop because the AI doesn't take Nidus 3 into account.

I think a lot of people have trouble with them, most i see say the aquablades troubles them. Parasitic link is what bothers me with legacytes. Against yareli 3 you can use a status immunity thing to remove the bleed procs but what are you going to do with nidus 3? asking people to not shoot it? I'm sure they would love that!

And don't you dare to bring the dr argument : you're not resisting your damage that is comparable to level cap enemies' without sacrificing too much on your build. Shield gating is also mentioned but once someone brings a toxin weapon/ability it's back to square 1. Overguard also exists but do you really want that to be the option? It's not elegant at all.

you know that's not really doable unless the tile you and the legacyte are in is an open space with long sightlines and escape routes, right? If it's somewhere narrow like behind a corner in a small shop or a staircase you're not gonna be able to both shoot it and stay out of range unless you bait it out. That can lead to a lot of problems on it's own. We're not talking about toxin eximus, we're talking about something with a big range and a variety of abilities that grows each time you fight a new one
I would try to stay out of range if it's a guaranteed option everytime i have to fight a legacyte, but that's only really applicable in open areas.

if you have a boxbreaker, any fast-ish mission on saturn/ceres is decent since orokin cells have breakables.
exterm/capture/rescue/sabotage/etc, usually 0-2+ per run without any boosting, RNG will vary

can also boss farm for orokin cells; ceres>exta - vor+krill (2 chances; 1 per boss), or deimos>magnacidium - lephantis (4 chances; 3 upper heads, 1 downstairs merged, droprates are split with neurodes though, so RNG will RNG)

there isnt one,
theres some rifles to shotguns (boltor/soma),
theres some shotguns to other (strun=multishot energy cannon, boar=multi beams)
phenmor and burston rifles become miniguns (phenmor mostly, burston just gets 500 ammo, so sorta close)
felarx shotgun becomes a semi auto aoe dual pistol

Like if I have 100% status chance does that mean each bullet is guaranteed to proc some form of status

you can do some niche things, and they're usable, but for the time/effort to farm and craft them, they arent really stand out at anything.
it felt like DE was a bit wary of making them too strong for when you gain access to them (like how nataruk turned out), and as a result they gave interesting gimicks/mechanics but average numbers

yeah i meant exalteds. Usually archon continuity isn't that practical unless you use an exalted weapon. There's some niche cases where it can have an use but usually you mod that for exalted weapon builds

20-30% crit and/or status chance and decent numbers

if you take influence out of the equation and look at the melee as a melee, they're very average unless you exploit weird interactions

honestly i use afflictions more, but i also use a scythe heavy build with the hate

verdilac has massive slam radius, but bad slam damage, it has a block combo which does pretty large toxic waves but the numbers are bad
nepheri can do a projectile during its light combo which is okay (and you can do weird stuff like volt shields to make it hit hard), but as a light melee its bad because it doesnt have the usual dual dagger neutral combo (which is really good)
korumm blocking combo forces knockdown+elec, then ragdoll+slash...but the numbers are just average

it all results in something which looks cool, but doesnt perform (like hespar from zariman)
