I tried melee projectiles out a little bit, I think it depends on how the melee projectile works. Gunblades seem to work somewhat, while plague zaw projectile doesn't seem to work at all

Only does like 1/10th of landslide, but it's ranged, and it still oneshots most SP 200+ enemies with a high combo counter

Unfortunately, the combo counter for 4th only reacts to direct hits, not the aoe splash, so need to aim directly at enemies to keep it, or fill up with landslide, as they both share the combo counter.
Not sure if it's a bug or part of game design

how broken are the fishing hotspots in nekralisk? sure some fish spawn when I get to the spot at first but after spearing them all, they totally just stopped spawning. Even encountered a scenario in which I saw it turn into a hotspot but nothing spawned. Any advice from fellow spinal core hunters?

go for the obelisks instead, generally. use void damage w/ necramech or what you unlock via war within to activate them, each has a little mini objective, but most of them are just kill the enemies that spawn. if its successful, you'll get a bunch of random resources, sometimes including spinal cores
if you're committed to fishing, collect a few fish, move a few bullet jumps away, come back
the cambion drift fish are a little. odd. they like to spawn when you're doing other stuff, but not when you're actually fishing
