if you're going to do influence then CDO will be useless to you since ideally you'll only be proccing one specific status and you'll want to spec into electricity damage as much as possible, ideally also using weeping wounds and doing something to help with maintaining combo like running naramon, combo dur mods, or dexterity arcanes

so basically when you cast splinter storm, you can cast it on an enemy, ally, or yourself. depending on ability str it scales up to 90% damage reduction for the duration of the ability

you can have it active on as many targets at once as you want

for enemies it deals damage to them, for allies it protects them

lately ive been playing a lot of stage defense and my favorite way to play is to have all my squadmates, my companion, their companions, and flare all have splinter storm with like millions of damage on it. so every time they get near enemies they get oneshot

BE AWARE (have to put this in bold) that if you get hit by a nullifier pulse from a demolisher or walk into a nullifier bubble or fall off the map, you lose splinter storm and all the accumulated damage

Just in general my main problems were as follows: Sleepyboi has a FAR better method to fixing the problem than I do. If there was a way to permanently make it so pings are by default OFF, they would be. But Sleepy has the ability to PERMANENTLY turn off those pings and never does despite being TOLD there's a very easy way to do so. At that point, it falls on them for not fixing the problem themselves when there's a permanent solution, and then getting mad about it when they can just permanently turn it off for everybody.

It's a combination of being an inconvenience on my part and them having a FAR better solution to said issue that they REFUSE to do.
