PvP is very niche in a game like this.

Most people don't enjoy it, and because there's so few people playing it, anyone who tries will likely just wait on lobby for 30s then disconnect as there's no players. When people do get into matches, they're against players with meta builds who make it really unfun because those people have played extensively.

You pretty much have to join a discord to coordinate matches to play it now due to the low playercount, and most people don't wanna do that. There's also a few campfire stories about the dedicated servers for Conclave (many of which are not hosted by DE, but community hosts) which ban players from them who use weapons/frames they disapprove of.

If you want to play conclave, find a Discord server to set up matches, generally.

Lack of content, doesn't give rewards people care about, low playercount causes lower playercount, there's like 5 gamemodes for an already dead part of the game which splits all the lobbies even more, and players above a certain conclave rank can't match with players below it, which splits it EVEN MORE

Pvp is also extremely fast paced due to the bullet jumping, and aiming can be hard.

Yeah the game itself was great at launch but they ruined the balance, made people pay for any and all additionnal content and made things p2w in PvP and sometimes PvE (especially late game content). It's all about decisions and what the bosses wanted and never about the playerbase after a certain point.

They vaulted paid for and f2p content (which destroyed the new player experience which is now confusing), made people spend a lot for new content (that didn't last that long), ruined the balance between classes, the game became p2w in PvP and then PvE...

There's a lot as the game is fairly old at this point. Those are the biggest issues for a lot of folks including myself, but the game on launch was amazing.
