It's a mix of three diff things. Nourish is the first one, and on itts own multiplies all the energy you pick up by 2.19x in this build. So a 50 energy pickup is now 109.5. However, this can still be a tad restricting if you're spamming your 1 allot.

I combo it with zenzurik for a few reasons. The free ability every 60 seconds means you can redline at the start of the mission and consistently for no energy (which normally costs you 155 energy), well spring lets you have energy on demand, and energy pickups with zen give you 50% more. Also, Gauss is bugged with zen which makes his 1 use no energy as long as you redline maxed atleast once in the mission. Nourish also works with well spring

Lastly, since you pretty much only refresh red line and nourish once every 1.5-2mins, + 1 costing not too much, you overall are almost always sitting on max energy
