Well you don't always want mission to go faster, not for arbis anyways, you slow it so they level slower while having more spawns, however in a normal interception my advice for public squads is pop on nova, her 4 slows the hack animation they do for towers.

The problem with grendel is that he is even more niche than dagath, especially when we enter a world where having a source of viral is extremely easy.

Dagath gets points for being just extremely crit heavy, so much so that you sometimes see her run with WA.

Grendel just doesn’t do enough in a world where every frame is self sustaining, probably has a way to do 10 stacks of viral. Made even worse when nourish is the subsume.

Dagath isn’t played as much because she doesn’t fulfill that important of a niche since several other frames fill a very similar niche, but she still has more play than Grendel who despite his prime, only have gotten less and less relevant.
