I say that for me: acting for the sake of a group or society has more benefit hypothetically than just tryna benefit myself. I only act if it’s objectively best, and personal feelings mean nothing. Acting for the gain of 10 is better than acting for the gain of 1

Plus: self benefit is a waste of resources that i can just put into others anyway
