I’d love to see a Personal Records system added to Beyond All Reason.

BAR is a game heavily focused on:

  • eco scaling
  • reclaim usage
  • map control
  • tech timings
  • unit trading efficiency
  • strategic execution

Having a player’s best performances across all his games visible on a single screen, would give players a much better sense of progression beyond simply watching OS rise or fall.
It would also help players identify weaknesses in their gameplay.

Example Stats to Track

Economy / Scaling

  • Fastest T2 timing
  • Fastest T3 timing
  • Fastest nuke timing
  • Best average resource gain acceleration
  • Best total resource efficiency
  • Best reclaim income (with % next to it compared to total reclaim and anothr % for your entire team of total.)

Unit micro

  • Top 3 most efficient unit types.( like flea 1000%, marauder 400% etc.)
  • Highest HP repaired in total, per unit type.
  • most efficient single unit in cost vs cost of things killed.

There can be more like mexes% controlled or things like how many resources you have donated etc.

Oh and a notification when you best yourself and make a new record.

Or territory of some sort of game parser like gex

I was refering to BAR launcher though

#

Gex cant get info if BAR doesnt expose it, and I dont know if it shows you unit specific efficiency.

we have some functionality in the pipeline that actually would make this possible, sounds like a fun idea! i'll keep it in mind, we could even add leaderboards for this.

What happens when you play metal maps or with boosted resources or with tweaks?

You can do ranked matches with tweaks

#

What I am trying to say is that it is possible.
But then you could split tweaked and non tweaked.

I think you misunderstood my question. It doesn't make sense to compare t2 timing between isthmus eco position vs rotato front position vs 1v1 vs metal map... The list goes on and on.

You'd have to break down the stats so much that it won't be meaningful or would need a lot of UI to allow filtering to only the types of games you want to compare.

Ah that, you can just show your most played maps and map it to that

#

Yes T2 timing depends on metal available on map, but there is value to know your own max.

Imagine if you could see your 3 best entries where the map and gamemode is written.

#

This is not a leaderboard at its core. Its visual feedback for yourself, so those constraints dont fully apply.
