I am yet to find a content creator that has a positive opinion of the current moderation environment, and rarely do I find a player. Sadly there will be a selection bias against what seems to be the silent majority, as those on discord are either a sample overly selecting from to be those who were rightly or wrongly slighted by the mod team, or those who have benefitted and are highly engaged. I am currently stuck in a moderation limbo where I don't even know if I will be allowed to message after making this post, previously I got banned for making a similar post with specific examples.

So TL;DR we need a space to allow for transparency and community feedback/input into the moderation environment.

For the record, your previous suggestion/resulting mute was from attempting a public appeal, while your appeal ticket was open.

Clear speech rules would be nice. Drongo, one of the largest creators for the community can say cunt, a sexist term that is degrading towards women and is one of the most taboo swears in the UK, meanwhile I say "shuri so gay" and I get a week long ban.

And importantly, space to discuss this publicly, because the mods have already shown a disregard for actually listening to the community, as shown by the fact that no content creator believes you to be acting appropriately.

I sent an email asking for clarifications and was told my understanding was wrong. So either you didn't read the email, are incapable of understanding the email or are purposefully trying to ignore what I said. I agree, I don't understand the rules, i gave examples of where the rules are not understandable, I would like clarification on what exactly is intended by the rules and where the line is. Stormfire himself has said he won't engage in hypotheticals, which means the only way to find out where the line is, the only way to detect where the minefield is is to step on a mine.

I mean for gods sake, everyone has their own private moderation tools to mute etc, meanwhile if you load into a lobby with someone you have muted/avoided, you have a few choices, consent to having them in your game via staying, convince others of their past wrongdoings and get them kicked, or leave. All that requires your consent. You have added a 4th option of report them to an overzealous mod team that somehow claim to be over worked and unable to assist players they've left in limbo while also being hypervigilant and eager to take action as frequently as possible. You moderate 1% of the active population daily, with no community oversight I might add.

Now I am trying to make a positive change for the community, which is to allow for the community to actually give you feedback, because as is you ban any criticism of your moderation style as 'mud slinging', as I understand it it's due to a situation with Cane/Hurricane from before I started playing.

I can go into the specific ways you've been over zealous with me, but that's not the point of this, the point is to have you guys clarify the rules and resolve the contradictions. I understand you want the rules blurry so you have discretion, it gives you power, but that is only appropriate when you can be held accountable. When I tried to speak to the community lead about your poor moderation because you'd refuse to answer my questions, you closed the ticket repeatedly saying "all questions answered" which was quite gaslighty, but I'd open a new ticket because no, they hadn't. Asked you to leave the ticket, not tryna push anyone to answer quickly and you kept closing it. Idk if it was a self defence reflex or just an abuse of power.

And there are constant examples of this, I have many of these personally, as you have become more and more belligerent with your enforcement.

Even now, you lock this thread away from the public. It's the same shit over and over. Idk if you are worried power will be taken away, or that your role will be deminished. Idk if something from the communities past is making you act this way or, and I don't want this to be a personal attack, if it's just that you genuinely want power and are so self righteous that you believe any attempt to restict your power is morally wrong.

Idk if you were able to see my email, or if someone above you just dismissed it. I can send it to individuals but it had rules that need clarifying.

Even now I have people saying i should just slide under the radar and stop trying to actually improve things, that my wilfulness will be seen as someone just trying to get out of a ban. That the moderation is unfair and inaccurate, that the rules are nebulas but just to stand so far to one side that you can't take action. It does remind me of show me the man and i'll show you the crime. Playing means a rule will have been broken, and even if by some miracle I was perfect, played only 1v1's and never spoke so there is no-one to rule break against, there is no mechanism to prevent you just banning for the sake of it (Which so far you haven't done, you have just been overzealous on poorly defined rules)

To me it's like hiding under the floor boards compared to actually standing up for the right thing. It claws at my soul to just leave you effectively bullying people, but worse doing so with the belief that you are in the right to do so, this is the most dangerous type of tyrant because you won't ever stop and will fight harder and most to keep going because you believe it's right.

Just like all people, moderators have biases, if you make personal attacks on a moderator they’re entitled to not like it and you will be breaking the code of conduct. It’s completely okay to disagree with moderation actions but the moment you cross over into targeting a specific moderator or making personal attacks you are breaching the code of conduct. To mitigate personal biases in this instance, when a moderator is directly involved in an issue like this a different moderator is requested to step in.

I don't recall any personal attacks against anyone, beyond calling a mod stupid after they explicitly called me the same thing. You don't enforce the CoC on yourselfs either.
