Cortex and armada vehicle suggestion

I just had a small thought here.

...what if

you gave Cortex the Janus. It's very much like a T1 banisher in functional design, it being an armada unit feels a bit out of place.
in turn, you could remove the pounder, since the role is now filled by the Janus.
it's weapon, the riot cannon or some times reffered to as the gauss cannon, is becoming a legion thing any how, and no other cortex unit uses it I believe

And then gave Armada a T1 lightning tank to replace the role the janus would leave behind.
The lightning can smack small groups of units. Keeping the same role the Janus had but as T1.

The big thing would be an overall improvement of faction aesthetics from a mechanical and weaponry standpoint.

that way for cotex, they got the janus, upgrade to bannisher.
And armada get's a T1 lightning tank to help with swarms
goes into the Jaguar, goes into the thor.

just... would feel a lot more right that way.

I really think semi related that Janus should chain explode like starlights to balance their risk reward.

Right now they are nearly all reward

Nah honestly Janus fits armada. Better to have variation- banisher cortex and Janus armada. Pounder should get some tuning done to give it a wider role

What role would that be? It's an anti-swarm (big AoE splash) close range fire support.

Medium assault tanks have the health and speed for pushing through, Missile trucks have the range and AA, Incisors are fast raiders, like every other role is taken. Doesn't make sense to widen the Pounder's role, it has its role.

Could say pounder is to cor veh what centurion is to arm bots. Do not centurions have a fairly wide utility? Yes pounder is anti swarm but only rly effective if enemy go rushing in. Range too small to be able handle kiting

There is no room to kite if you're driving into their economy, and if they want to run into yours they have to go through Pounders

How about give pounder range to kite kill coms. Yes, buff pounderboi.

If pounders were faster and turned better they could better work vs Janus and bots etc

Janus have speed, range, high alpha, high aoe.

It's perfect for their meta and and killing coms and large bot armies.

Pounders don't get nearly the value because they lack the speed and range. Janus can jump in range for a shot and bounce out before pounders can have meaningful impact unless you out number then because one pounder volley is nothing compared to one Janus volley
