#Shouldn’t labs be more or equally mass efficient than constructors?

I would like to suggest a more normalised approach.

Lab vs con I feel is a bit out if balance.

A lab is stationary and not very versatile in what it can build. For that it gains more reliability and cannot be sniped easily.

Vice versa cons are mobile and the BP can be used universally. While at the same time they are more liable to a leak.

The latter aspect is probably a heavy weight of the design philosophy. Good micro should be rewarded, thus players should rely more on volatile bp or “pay” for the extra security I guess?

Me personally I like to have multiple labs dedicated to certain tasks rather than building everything out of one lab. Especially in the early game. But this strat is not very viable right now.

I’d gladly give up some of the labs hp for reduced mass cost or better bp

Focusing build power on a central factory instead of making many if the same type is one of BAR's core mechanics.

Having labs be less bp efficient than other options is a gameplay choice.
And imo leads to more interesting base layouts, with a centralized point.

its also easier to manage a low number of factories with fast build time than multiples with lower
theres a lots to do in a BAR match, the less one has to micro every single aspect the better the overall experience i'd argue
