Open Replay in BAR via Command Line

Hey folks - I’m actually a developer myself (although not on BAR) so suspected if this would be possible.

Rather than having to manually copy replays into the replay folder would it possible for replays to be assigned to be opened in BAR (in OS) and for them to automatically open in BAR when you double-click.

Presumably this would have to happen via some sort of command line arg passed to BAR and embedding an ability for the BAR replay to be executed outside of the app.

Executable from the command line by passing an argument to BAR essentially with the replay. Realise this is a small change and perhaps not high priority change but makes it lots better I think if replays are shared.

For example one click open replays from say Discord would be a great experience for users! I think it would mean more replays being watched as well. Which imo is a positive thing for the community. Reducing friction and a better user experience.

it would also help to be able to open the replay folder in file explorer in the replay tab

Some people have set this up for themselves using bar debug launcher https://github.com/beyond-all-reason/bar_debug_launcher .

The debug launcher doesn't ship with the game currently though. Hopefully in new lobby we could have this work without the debug launcher being needed.

It’s actually easier with skylobby than what your asking btw

It's not, he just described the underlying mechanism how os calls application when "open with"/file association is used.
