  1. Tax direct sharing
  2. Tax reclaiming allied structures
  3. Add a cap on % of how much income each player can have of team’s side mexes
  4. Disable lab and egen share

I believe this covers the bases for most tax work arounds.

Income cap based on friendly mexes prevents one player from building majority of the mexes for the team. Expanding for your allies is one way of bypassing tax and no sharing. It would be only friendly team side mexes so that you’re not punished for expanding into enemy. The limit could be pretty high just to stop egregious intentional coopers with like 50%+. Similar to league anti funneling.

Tax could also be trickle share

each player only allowed to own 150% their canonical friendly side mexes? what happens if their neighbour gets attacked and its time to rebuild mexes?

#

i think you can balance taking allied mexes by increasing distance between start spawns (esp the safe backline mexes)

#

if a mex has to be left empty for 30 sec - 90 sec so that an ally can take it , it's already somewhat of a penalty

#

and if your ally lets you take frontline mexes, those are interactible

How does #3 work in 1v1? You don't get to have all the mexes? Also can it always be clear whose side is what? Like especially if there's more than 2 teams or an asymmetric map

just turn off the rule in 1v1

#

even without such a rule leaving mexes for allied players is much worse than base game coop
