try reinstalling the launcher?
can i download manualy this engine?
yeah
where?
one of those
they've renamed the things, so I'm not sure which
you want the stuff in it inside a folder called recoil_2025.03.9 inside ..\Bar folder\data\engine\ folder.
i know the place to put, but wich one to download?
cant find it
i think i find it, but the laucher stiills runs the older
i trick the launcher
changing name path to the new engine, with the nome the older.
name*
i just got back home not my home but a someone else's, can you:
- open the game folder via the launcher,
- see if that folder matches the one you've been launching the launcher from
if it doesn't, delete the folder you've been using till now, and use the one that got opened instead
it should be something like
disk:/users/you/appdata/<i_forgor>/beyond-all-reason
its working now that i tricked the game
well but that's a terrible solution which won't let you play multiplayer
the laucher
im just played one multiplayuer
i download the new engine in get hub, manualy, placed on the path of the launcher, and change the name of the new egine, to the name of the old one.
yep, is just the egine path, not the files
it's what we tell people to do if they want to watch a replay on an old engine version
make sense
I'm turbo confused but ok
anyway, back to the orginal issue and fixing it permanently
disk, users, you, appdata, roaming, beyond all reason
is that where the launcher you are using is?
i try every thing i think of
A:\BAR\Beyond-All-Reason\data
my game is in this path
\engine
in the launcher, press open install directory
and is that the same folder
yep, this is the one
-uplog
it returns a error in uploading
also, from searching through marek's messages:
#1361108108147032064 message
Check log, you likely fail to fetch launcher update. If it happens on windows and Linux, it's likely your DNS is incorrect or your ISP or something is causing the issue.
i already install the launcher again
i was using googles DNSs. but i change now, and i tested over VPN
i only play multiplayer by the way
well that's already concerning
probably same problem that prevent you from pulling updated config
the problem returns... sad
maybe talk with your internet provider about this if it's a persistent problem
i resolved the same way. Trick the laucher downloading manualy the correct files, and put in the place of old ones
again, stuck on old version of the game, and not able to play
Well you did not fix the original problem so of course it returned when new engine got released
what engine we are at?
i deleted the engine files on windows, downloaded again, still needs to update, but its closer version now
im now at 105.1.1-2358-g9099868105
can u point me to the new engine? im not finding it
find it
did it again, worked again.
what informations i need to talk to my ISP? to try to resolve there?
@valid crag just to 100% confirm
this doesn't work in browser for you
right?
if so, I guess you could tell that you cannot connect to that domain
yep, i canoot connect to that in browser.
