Okay. Here's my few cents about the spy bot nerf.
I have felt, since seeing Spy Bots in action after each change, that the changes were entirely too much. As much as Spy Bots were dumb before, this definitely feels wrong, and now that we've had time to watch Spy Bots with EMP immunity in action, we can articulate why. The problem is that we're just supposed to use more Spy Bots than before to get the same results, but EMP is too janky and unreliable at a base level to make using multiple spy bots a realistic and sustainable solution. It isn't worth the APM and opportunity costs whatsoever.
EMP is not a static bar like HP, it is rapidly and constantly draining at invisible set intervals that have nothing to do with how long it's been since the EMP was applied. It is affected by flanking damage, so where you put the Spy Bots and when they pop is a big deal and wildly changes how many you need to use from moment to moment, even against the same units. It's impossible to know how many you're going to need or if what you have is even going to work vs the units we're targeting with them, even in tech 2.
They do not feel worth it 90% of the time because there are normal t2 units they don't even work against, and it's not even because they have any special EMP resistance, they just don't work. They don't do enough damage. Forget about using them against t3 even against noobs, you need so many it's going to be impossible to get enough in range against even the most basic t3 units, and whenever this is pointed out, the response is always, "they're a tech 2 unit! Of course they shouldn't work and Tech 3 should own you!"
... looks at the Sharpshooter. Looks at the Starlight. Looks at the Medusa.
I'm sorry, but that feels like a cop-out answer. If anything has people mad, it's that right there. It feels as though you're blatantly lying to us because you just don't want Spy Bots to be relevant.
