Steps to repeat.
Open Bar and click Login at the upper right.
On the Login tab check the "login automatically" check box.
Close Bar and reopen.
It does not autologin.

It's intended that it doesn't log you in at launch, so you don't occupy limited server slots if you only want to play singleplayer

I had hoped it would have served as way for someone (i.e. my son) to know I was playing so we could have a game. Thanks again.
