hi i find in large maps the flying builder is more efficent compared to others, what do u think, or is not worth it for its metal cost ?

nope it's super expensive on energy, metal, build power compared to other constructors.
it has the least build power of 60

it covers large portions of the map at speed of 210 with a build power of 60 yes, but others have 80 not that much

I think the important thing with flying builders is to make use of nano towers, instead of building a bunch of constructors like you might be used to. You should also have t1 transports for moving them where you need them.

I think going shared factory air as an eco start makes a lot of sense. Eco com takes mexs, and makes wind to to transfer to Air until the air player makes him an aircon he can start doing his own thing. Air com goes mexs, airPlant, assists aircon, assists nanoTower, assists second aircon. First aircon goes to Eco, 2nd stays & takes mexs/builds energy. Air makes transports and additional cons as needed for Eco until they feel like his debt for the early wind is paid off.

I think they leaves both players better ahead, but I haven't had a chance to "run the drill" with a friend yet to prove it

I mean, this build is only the first minute of the game. Air is building faster than they would on their own, since they're being fed energy. They should have figs out at the same time as the opposing air

#

Yeah, a normal air player has to have their com stop assisting to build energy. If air and eco team up, they're getting their first and second fighter out faster, even after giving away an air con, and making a nano. This doesn't collapse to rushes unless something else goes wrong

Eco player on most maps only need to reach for a couple of mexes that are pretty close, only reason to start with air on eco would be to either boost/help out somewhere early/com drop etc. and not go greed mode

If your just playing eco normally into t2 etc. then starting bot lab is the way to go, the doesn't matter if the mexes are slightly delayed cause what matters is the buildpower on stuff like winds/converters, also you need lazarus on a lot of maps for quick teching.

#

but even when boosting you could just buy a transport instead and a lot of times buy a couple of cons (so you don't have to make a lab yourself and can move quicker)

I suppose my problem with buying conbots is just the delay in getting your first con. if you're skipping your lab, which I think is a really good idea, you need another way to expand your BP, and waiting for the bot to trundle over at 36 elmos/s is too darn slow.

#

A t1 transport could fix that, but again you're needing to boost the air player so they can get it out fast enough for you.

#

But I suppose it does require less coordination, since the other players can just do their regular openings.

On most maps, the tech player will just trade a trans for con. Especially because air opens core and they generally want arm wind for scaling on the majority of maps
