#The Tremor: Let's see how useful it is, now.

I'm glad we had this comparison of a more expensive, t3 unit to a t2 tremor.
I take it you've never seen tremors killing sharpshooters? There's no need to retreat.
ive done it myself, but tremors are easier killed then catapults, ther catapult just walks backwards facing the enemy, tremor has weird angle things going on that prevents it from firing if over microd
catapult can allso kill light units pretty well
I mean.. for the cost of a catapult, you're getting 2-3 tremors.. Snipers are going to die within 2-3 seconds from fire of that many tremors.. you aren't getting close to sniper shooting range with infinite snipers against tremors.
Keep thinking this unit is balanced guys. It's hilarious.
Play less glitters
And there it is. Thanks for your input. 🤣
anyways vanguard/catapult etc is not comparable to tremor, tremor is completely unique bcz its the only blanket fire unit in the game which i personally dislike bcz its just 1 click gameplay
tremors are very energy heavy, 50K E vs 80K and the metal cost is like 2.4x as expensive for catapult
youre getting way more speed, better movement, direct firing to kill fast units, more HP and more survivability in general
in the games i win i propably keep 95% of my catapults alive because they can reatreat very fast and deal damage
tremors die when the front gets overwhelmed
Carpet bombardment is good on the line map!
No disagreement from me.
tremor- blanket fire
vanguard- alpha dmg
catapult- AOE but still high cd and moderately concentrated
Catapult getting killed by pulsar with spam for vision though. Tremor sitting pretty, and at t2 no less.
tbh 1 tremor being able to nullify 1 bubble doesnt make sense since bubble is suspposed to be the metal:metal counter to plasma arty
shields get easier overwhelmed by rapid fire, it doesnt matter how much damage a single shot LRPC deals 1 shot doesnt get through
u can choose to make 1 tacnuke to kill bubble but its not worth when u can just make 1 tremor and nullify it for lower cost
tacnuke slightly cheaper, though
tacnuke costs metal and E/s so its higher cost
and nearly double the build time and then you have to wait for nuke charges and it doesn't move
Eh, tacnuke + one missile is still cheaper than a tremor. Not by a lot, but cheaper.
tacnuke gives notification to entire enmy team and makes them 1 click u its like anti self preservation unit
haha
cheaper for first shot maybe.. 550m/17.5k e per nuke isn't nothing though so you are quickly losing value vs tremor after that first shield
Yep. Course, it also oneshots tremors.
yeah every like 75 seconds.. good if you ask your opponent to stand still/ not slow push you with blanket artillery
Plan ahead.
🙂
In game, Tremor lists dps as 300 (same as a Tzar 🤣) whereas the website has 600. I don't see a good reason for t2 at less metal cost to outrange things like rattlesnake/pulsar/t3. 1275 range, 225 dps, 20% tighter AOE spread, 10k energy cost reduction seems like a reasonable thing to try to me. It is still a deterrent for starlights (something I think cortex struggles against), still eliminates bots in general aoe noob fashion (still lame), is less oppressive against statically defended positions.. Cortex still has tac nukes to deal with rattles/pulsar. It's sad to see an afk tremor kill negotiators (single target snipe units) before they can even get in range to hit the tremor. Would you in a real situation try to go around the blanketed area? Yes! If they have multiple tremors and stay on top of directing damage, then that can be much more difficult in practice. A range decrease would help make these kinds of plays more possible.
Looking at this thread i realize that the single thing making some UP units viable is the fact that people mostly play on 2 maps and people probably want the units to be balanced specifically for those maps
all you need to not lose tremors is air scout spam and pounders
Yeah true tickspam + pulsar should be the strongest comp, more skillful than making a tremor
I mean a pulsar costs more, doesn't move, and can be sniped by tac nukes.. There are already answers to pulsar. T3 should be the mobile unit that competes with pulsar. Yes.
Catapults are outranged by pulsar while being more expensive
You think catapult can't deal with pulsar, but tremor can and you think that's good?
I'm saying that if you wanna nerf the tremor for being lowskill and too good, nerf the pulsar, tremor atleast requires positioning, pulsar you just plop down. If pulsar wasn't so oppressive on glitters, tremor wouldn't be so good
pulsar doesn't move.. you can plop a tremor down just like a pulsar.. but then you can also move it.. "just make tac nuke" to deal with pulsar.. 2 shots it iirc
600 dps was 300dps x2 fire modes.
Tremor only has 300 dps in any single mode.
Catalyst 2shots pulsar y
also I got a little protip
tremors are a good counter to tremors
and I think I remember being told something similar when I complained about snipers being unapproachable by cor t2
...and than told the same thing again for grunts in 1v1 xD
