How to stop Advanced crawling bombs with junos?

gleaming hamlet
#

😐

#

that's a lot of junos

#

OH

#

I misunderstood your question

soft spire
#

Air labs have some built in radar

#

And scout planes don't die

gleaming hamlet
#

t2 scout planes, pulsars, bulwarks iirc

soft spire
#

Or you can use Counter intrusion measure

buoyant tinsel
soft spire
#

Or spam and bump into it

buoyant tinsel
#

Ticks cheaper

gleaming hamlet
#

yeah but juno

buoyant tinsel
#

The static needed to stop them is more expensive than them

#

You also need 3 pinpointers

soft spire
#

Not really, just run into once you know where it is.

buoyant tinsel
#

With grunt?

soft spire
#

Yeah

#

Or anything

buoyant tinsel
#

Yeah grunts work ig

soft spire
#

Preferably not something that the Sckuttle can trade well with

buoyant tinsel
#

But the explosion radius is too big

soft spire
#

Grunts are expendable. A few dyeing doesn't matter much.

Rephrased: The Adv crawling bomb's explosion radius is too big for what?

gleaming hamlet
#

I mean use them as indestructible radar and kill them with other things

#

or just buy a t2 scout plane

#

seaplane scout also works

mighty dune
#

Or imagine using units ik its crazy

buoyant tinsel
buoyant tinsel
#

It’s good if you spread them maybe

fallow sorrel
#

then don't stack 20 grunts together on them, you only need a few, <5 for sure

wild scaffold
#

Then bomb just rolls past them
unless you mean some units (like grunts) PLUS intrusion building

buoyant tinsel
#

I thought they explode or uncloak when they touch

#

Don’t they?

#

Or within a certain range like the spybot

wild scaffold
# buoyant tinsel Don’t they?

they will uncloak but if you have too little you can just roll around
they only explode when near something if you forgot to hold fire

#

exploding them like that is not great at all

#

it makes them do half of the damage and bigger splash damage fallof

buoyant tinsel
#

They deal the same dmg when they die right

wild scaffold
#

same as when attack

buoyant tinsel
#

Yes

#

Or dc

wild scaffold
#

yea, so half of intended damage

gleaming hamlet
#

self-d damage > attack damage = death explosion damage

wild scaffold
#

self+d damage is like 8000 or sometihng

gleaming hamlet
#

there's a stalled PR meant to set all of these to equal

#

but it'd be a buff so remains to be seen whether it'll go through

buoyant tinsel
#

You just use them to kill anything

#

Like even thors

wild scaffold
#

i kinda liked it that "it only works when you micro it" mechanic

#

could also just add delay to self+d if you want to nerf it

#

or make it uncloak when you self+d

#

and then it is gonna "charge" for 3 sec

buoyant tinsel
wild scaffold
#

i didn't feel like they work without micro

#

like compare it to the spy xD

buoyant tinsel
#

You can combine them with spyspepesweat

#

On land

wild scaffold
#

most of the time units that get EMPed for 20 secs gonna die, and spy has bigger radius and spy does not need a stealth field to not show up on the radar
spy is cheaper
spy not get "countered" by radar+ pinpointers

#

tzars and banishers usually one-shot scuttle even without pinpointers

#

tho i only like seen scuttle+juno once

#

and it looked kinda cool

buoyant tinsel
wild scaffold
#

yea i guess there it is kinda nice with water...

#

!unit bedbug

gleaming hamlet
#

$unit bedbug

steel craneBOT
wild scaffold
#

(website doesnot load for me for some reason)

gleaming hamlet
#

works for me 😐

wild scaffold
#

well that link works

#

ok so bedbug dmg is like 4000-5000?

gleaming hamlet
#

that also works for me

wild scaffold
#

whats t2 geo HP? 😄

#

just wondering if you can actually just use regular bedbug or tumbleweed to blow up geo

gleaming hamlet
#

3600, assumed armada

wild scaffold
#

should be able to do it faster than with a scuttle... imagine you arrive and t2 geo is not done yet

gleaming hamlet
#

I think you want to hit just after it's done though

wild scaffold
#

yea

#

i am just imagining bedbug or scuttle going out of the water, seeing 50% geo and going back to water "brb"

#

core t2 geo is 4150

buoyant tinsel
#

1 time i was reclaiming geo, and sea made 1 single shot. The geo exploded just before it was reclaimed

finite bane
#

space them 1 space apart to save on metal

buoyant tinsel
finite bane
#

well they blow up the walls first

lucid escarp
#

Light mines would be one way to stop crawling bombs coming up your beach.
Would need a decent spread of them though, and still a risk that some could get through.

buoyant tinsel
#

Mines won’t stop for long
