#crash in the middle of the game

right out of nowhere I get this window press o and the game closes. When I try to rejoin the game t's already too late to catch up (i need like 5mins) . My internet and pc are working perfectly I made sure of that on task manager and net limiter.
this is the 3rd time this happens. I'm losing rating and this is giving me anger issues 😄

That looks like an engine error, but strange that only you are crashing, as everyone's engine should be the same

Delete pool, packages and rapid folders
That is the advice I see when I discord search the failed to read file problem you are getting

Yup. I think you get that error when you had a slightly corrupted file, so you need a new one

How does that happen? No sumcheck during installation?

1 When you click upload you should get message with link, then you paste it here. If you didn't got the message, you can click "toggle log" and copy paste what is at the bottom

2 the advise to "remove pool rapid" is probably quite old. Best is to see if you can manually open to file that game fails to read. Sometimes it happens that there is corruption. We validate checksums but then when e.g. PC crashes it might still cause some corruption.

While i was building my stuff, bout 5 mins into the game, it seems like the game flinches, then crashes. When ui boot up Bar again, my log in details are missing, so i have to put in usernamer and password.

To change name of the room you need to be boss (!boss YourAmazingNickname) and then you have to type $rename VeryCoolName Noobs Welcome

i uninstalled and redownloaded the gam and this is what i got

dowload failed after I redowloaded the whole game

I managed to fix my issue from yesterday.

  1. Used Revo to uninstall BAR.
  2. Used Software called "Everything" and searched for "Beyond All Reason" and deleted it.
  3. Used Glarys to have a good clean out.
  4. Rebooted.
  5. Downloaded this and installed>> https://www.majorgeeks.com/mg/getmirror/visual_c_runtime_installer,1.html
  6. Rebooted
  7. downloaded a new version of BAR, installed and all is OK! 😉
