My friend and I party up in a clan;skill autobalance team free for all. he is TSR 17 and there are multiple TSR TSR 17 players in the lobby. The lobby insists on putting a different TSR 17 player with me, and not my friend.
This doesn't happen once, but all the team.
The party system feels broken and ineffectual. It is really difficult to play this game with your friends.

We don't support clans. Clan tags you see are just added by players to their nicknames and they don't have any effect on autobalance.
If you want to play together with a friend, type $party in lobby chat. We don't have UI for parties yet, but functionality exists.
Keep in mind party can still be divided if autobalancer fails to balance the match fairly.

parties are broken up when the team balancer gets a 5% difference or higher on skill numbers between teams
in this case ask for $explain output
at this point and time there is nothing that can reasonably come out of this post regarding the issues
unless there is some sort of server issue in general
