#Are Marauders too buff?

Great concept, I think additional animation for it would be cool, but I also don't think Shivas need a buff, I feel like they're one of the more balanced units.

#

I'd almost rather see demons get amphib back as well

dry hill
#

note its only a buff on amphib maps

I'd like demons to be amphib tbh, core force projection from a won sea is limited to slow siege shove with a clowncar of support units, but demon is a little too much the core T3 saviour atm, can't put everything on the unit. also it's a little too monolithic for raiding, too easy to dgun or pulsar, and it outruns the support

that's interesting indeed? I was given to understand that rosetta demon invalidated razorbacks instantly

#

not that rosetta should be a balance map though, it's too outlier, but there was a period where all I heard about was demons on rosetta

#

have people finally realised they can be EMPd or something?

inner sonnet
#

If anything I think Rosetta is a shiva map

#

I feel like every game I play on it is like 4 techers spamming shivas

#

Demons, imo, see more play as raiders

past acorn
#

I've not seen any lately there myself, and it would help relieve the amphib pressure role on the shiva if demons could be naval projection too

inner sonnet
#

I mean, I don't really see it as a balance concern if they are both ampib, right?

past acorn
#

core transition from a won sea is usually 'beg for arm con or spam salas until something sticks'

past acorn
#

losing demon amphib completely fucked core sea over

#

shivas are a great siege unit from support of a won sea, they can munch coastlines, but they can't project which is what you need. coastlines were dead to your boats anyway.

#

making shivas able to project more efficiently, would OP them for their land roles (although I do hold that as amphibs, in base game, they need EMP resistance as is convention)

#

when emp rework is done that hopefully be should be less of a concern though

again, the game design requires lab balance parity, even if in different ways. the demon isn't a rauder, eg I'm not adding a 1k metal unit that does most things alarmingly well

#

right now the closest thing the gantry has to a raider is the damn salamander still

harsh obsidian
#

and the closest thing the arm gantry has to an actual frontline unit is titan, faction differences op

past acorn
#

what do you use razorbacks for then, garden gnomes?

#

they're not that tanky, sure, but very efficient damage dealers

graceful walrus
#

Shivas swimming is not necessarily a buff, that would depend on the swimming speed

#

As demonstrated it would mean they get targeted by more weapons while in water

#

Which could be interesting

inner sonnet
#

I thought they'd drop down underwater, but you think it'd be more interesting to keep them as hoverbots?

harsh obsidian

Razorback for raiding it’s the same as demon

Prob the biggest razor issue feels like shivas to me, in the games I see them

#

Shivas just bully

past acorn
#

would you say that's the role shivas should have though? walking walls?

dry hill
#

big stats, affordable

#

catapult is 5k demon 6k oof

inner sonnet
#

I mean, don't they have one of the best statlines in the game?

inner sonnet
#

That's their use case

dry hill
#

razor is among the fastest t3 so i think its fine. you meant to fight cortex t3 with arm t2

past acorn
dry hill
#

razor can be a breakthrough unit but its perhaps better as an upgraded anti-spam frontline for starlight/sniper

past acorn
#

just talking about OP level for now

past acorn
dry hill
#

yeh but against proper t2 armies razor doesn't have a significant edge. esp an arm t2 army will chew on razors

inner sonnet
past acorn
dry hill
#

razors with speed can gangbang an army, or singlehandly stop a flood of units tho

past acorn
#

which IMO as as much about core T3 being what it is, as the shiva, but holistic picture as ever

inner sonnet
#

What do you mean

#

I think the only core T3 that's generally considered bad is the jugg

past acorn
#

kargs derp out hard really easily, get stuck behind their own wrecks, and too slow to turn
behemoth is powerful but usually so late to the war it's often met by a lolcannon
demons are reasonable but a little glassy for heavy lifting
catapult and shiva seem the most used T3s, but this isn't based on literal stats unfortunately, they don't exist

#

juggernaut is pants yes, main value is it maybe dying in a useful fashion, alas

dry hill
#

even ignoring the lol cannon

#

behemoth takes a while before it's worth making

inner sonnet
#

So, for me. Kargs are the kings of AT fighting, so they don't/shouldn't be super strong on flat ground. With that said, they still do fine on flat ground vs a lot of units

#

I think you have the timing wrong though

#

lolcannon comes before behemoth generally

dry hill
#

lolcannon is lol

inner sonnet
#

and when lol cannons can't end behemoths can

#

Or if they suddenly have super low com counts and you can forward lab

People sleeping on Kargs. Kargs one of best anti-spam in game. Kargs + Shivas > pure Shivas

Kargs + Shiva poops on Razorbacks hard

How much faster does it move on land, five times, ten times? I'm pretty sure real life amphib tanks don't plough through the water at 80km/h.
