i had similar issues with zero-k but only at random after some time in a game and not in every game.
some suspect a faulty AMD driver.
win11.

hot pewter
#

rolled back drivers, mouse in lobby is not smooth anymore. i tried to launch a game with some AI and the game crashed.

#

😦

I read on a lost ark forum that it is common occurrence for rx6000 series AMD card users to get this sort of pc freeze with this year's drivers.

I kinda regret buying an AMD card now.

#

i ll try the pro drivers. i'll update the thread if i find a solution

hot pewter
#

pro driver installed.
mouse is smooth again in lobby.
game still crash upon starting.
"spring failed with code: 3489660927"

Fail code is some non-sense, probably crash

# hot pewter this is the last one

These are not the engine logs, but launcher logs, they seem to mention some engine events, but nothing relevant for me.
Do the following:

  1. find springsettings.cfg in your BAR installation and add LogFlushLevel = 0 on the new line somewhere.
  2. Run, crash, upload infolog.txt

the work is ongoing

#

No signs of the crash

hot pewter
#

the moment i clicked with my mouse it crashed

viscid maple
#

Don't click with your mouse then 🙂

hot pewter
#

they said to wait for 3min while doing nothing.....

viscid maple
#

I doubt it hangs for real

hot pewter
#

but i don't know how much time i would need to really wait

viscid maple
#

First run might take a few minutes of slow system to cache assets

hot pewter
#

slow system X).. well maybe is the HDD? but my pc is decently high end

viscid maple
#

Can you post a screenshot where it "hangs"

hot pewter
viscid maple
#

Just screenshot your screen, I want to see where it "stuck"

hot pewter
#

right when i click on start

#

the screen stay in the lobby of the game

viscid maple
viscid maple
hot pewter
#

i don't think that should happen anyway

#

2sec

viscid maple
#

Sure

hot pewter
#

i need to cut the pictures, i have 2 monitors

#

heh, for some reason when i win + printscreen it doesn't print the lobby...

viscid maple
#

Use ur phone camera then 🙂

hot pewter
#

okay XD

viscid maple
#

When you press start does it not fail immediately right?

#

How does it look when it hangs?

#

No need to see how it looks before or after

hot pewter
#

Well the start button becomes greyish darker as if it was clicked on. And then nothing happens

#

The screen stay like on the pic

#

And if I ever click , even on the second monitor it crash soon after.

#

With the "spring.exe stopped working" message box

viscid maple
#

Aha I see

#

ok the stage you're hanging at should complete within a second or so

#

Do you have some sort of antivirus software?

#

If so add directory exception

#

Otherwise does it hang with any map?

hot pewter
#

i only tested with 2 maps but i guess so.
fun fact, i did launch a multiplayer game successfully. but then was blocked at the starting point selection. it wouldn't let me click inside the green box so i couldn't press "ready"...

#

i did wait for a few minutes tho before the loading started but at least the loading screen booted up instead of staying inside the lobby after clicking on start

hallow heron
#

could try turning on v-sync
