#How to counter late game fleapeewee spam?

Once it gets to the late game and someone gets their eco churning with like 10 t1 factories, and they can spam out enough fleas to blot out the earth.

How can this be countered? it seems they will find any gaps in your defenses, and most units simply cant fire fast enough to kill them all until they get overwhelmed. I've even seen experimentals die to flea spam.

one word-junos

Juno for flea
its a t1 launcher in the t1 constructor (kills all radar/jammers and vehicle scouts)
for peewee and ak
you need stuff like sumo/welder

#

fiend works aswell

violet topaz
#

just have a 2 junos

zealous bronze

also amphib bomb

violet topaz
#

on repeat

#

atack their lab

#

they can never build fleas from the posi ever again

fiery orchid
#

just stagger the launches xD

#

you also need a countermeasure for the predictable pawn transition

#

having your own spam or flame/lightning turrets is decent

sleek pivot
#

junoing lab prevents them from building flea?

fiery orchid
#

juno kills scouts/radar units/jammer units on a radius for a certain amount of time

#

pro tip: make 400 junos and kill their t2 metal makers

#

infinite range op

Juno them a bit, then they will switch to Pawns, make anti spam units like Sumos

juno does 1 damage to all units

#

except for radar/jammer/groundscout
which the juno instantly kills

fiery orchid

and the mobile equivalents of radar/jammer

#

and mines!

t2 mex has 3500 hp through no

#

youd need a lot of junos

fiery orchid
#

metal makers, the powerhouse of late game eco

#

converters if you will

sleek pivot
#

ah

#

is that really viable lmao

fiery orchid
#

viable it is, practical, very rarely

sleek pivot
#

seems excessive unless the game goes for like more than an hour

fiery orchid
#

exactly, there have been cases

sleek pivot
#

one juno costs 700 metal

zealous bronze
#

thats cheap

#

the running costs are very cheap

#

iirc

sleek pivot
#

better to build ragnarok?

zealous bronze
#

yes
but you need afus for taht

sleek pivot
#

you probably has afus anyways if your going to drop 70k metal on 100 junos

fiery orchid
#

c

zealous bronze
#

rag is probably cheaper to run than 100 juno

sleek pivot
#

not sure how much metal juno consumes to generate missiles

fiery orchid
#

sorry for the diversion

#

was just supposed to be a funny kip

#

hope you had the answer to your question

sleek pivot
#

it helped thank you lmao

late game spam is very powerful, fleas and scouts just juno but the light bots are strong

#

you need dedicated riot units supporting your main force, and preferably some T1 bots of your own

#

arm can bring out thors, razorbacks, and jaguars, all of which are decently fast enough to reposition to face T1 though can take some time to kill and can't just smash into it without micro - unless you are about even in metal. EMP bombers can also buy time if they hit a side of the map you're not on.

cor has pounders, which IMO are #1 cost for cost at killing pawns/grunts. Shivas do ok but need support, and juggernaut is decent. If you need a quick response force, fiends do okay.

fiery orchid
#

pounders are great, but they do not offer flexibility especially for the metal

#

for example you stop the swarm at a juncture but they can just run around or even if you mitigate their spam at late game pounders are not as useful as pawns to get into holes

#

the fact the cannons cannot shoot over each other and over wrecks just makes things worse

marble path
#

What do you suggest for cor then? I'm drawing blanks + main arm myself

fiery orchid
#

I like own spam

to add to the funnies, here's my suggestions to the actual best counters to late game spam
https://www.techradar.com/news/best-processors

i'd wish that maybe lategame units had something more against mass spam options, but since it's cheap anyways, you will always get bad simspeed due to some players cpu not working that well super late game.

and people would spam purely for vision, even if it doesnt trade all that well.

Pounder/Janus spam ?

marble path
#

Janus ROF way too low. Pounder too slow, finicky around wrecks, clumsy with movement and teamkilling

Right
