Why not just open your game for editing?
I thought about this but I wanted to give somebody the chance to get the game files exclusively, figured it'd be a more attractive offer if the dev can be sure nobody is making competition

I guess so - do what you like. I never seen someone gift a game before also you should upload your video to youtube the link is less suspect that way. Its a cool idea though I looked at the video.
