Add the keyboard shortcut functionality to the menu items

For example Selecting the image then pressing cmd+t allows the user to freely transform and rotate the image. The menu item Image>transform, the user has to guess degrees clockwise or anti clockwise which is very unintuitive

can you clarify your idea? the title says about menu items but then you proceed to talk about transform mode and "Image>Transform" that does not exist. Also, I'm not really sure what can be unintuitive about which way is clockwise?

Sorry the menu item is Image>Image Rotation. I find trying to guess the number of degrees to rotate by unintuitive. It would be much easier to be able to grab a grip or handle and just freely rotate the image

you can do it by selecting the crop tool and grabbing the edge of the frame
