#Basic Generative Expand Workflow
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
There are a couple different ways. One of them is using the Crop Tool, expanding the canvas size and choosing the "Generative Expand" option. As seen in the attached video.
You'll want to be careful about how large of an area you're trying to fill/expand. Gen Fill currently only renders a 1K block (1024x1024). If you attempt to fill a giant area, you will notice that the fill will become blurry as Photoshop attempts to scale the content to match. You'll probably get better results if you fill 1K blocks individually.
thank you, it's giving me very bad results with hair and faces. is the capabilities or I'm doing something wrong ?
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @frank flume (current: #3 - 1752)
The results will depend on many varying factors. Photoshop is using the version 1 model. You can try Gen Fill in Firefly and see if it works better. https://firefly.adobe.com
ok, also @frank flume when using the crop tool, I can't expand to one side like you did above there.. it's acting as if I'm holding the shift button
If you're using the Crop Tool, hit the "Clear" button in the Options bar at the top. Its probably trying to crop at a certain size or aspect ratio.
found it thanks
