I am having issues I believe with transferring from Lightroom to photoshop back to Lightroom. Sending to photoshop from Lightroom is fine but when I send it back to Lightroom it won’t send until it has been closed after it saves. My problem then is sending it back to photoshop for something I might have missed and all of the layers are gone. Is this normal?

Let me check if there isn't a settings to when you choose to edit inj Photoshop. I've used this command repeatedly, and you should be able to retrieve the layers, otherwise there would be no point.
What exactly which fonction are you using? "edit in Photoshop? (SHIFT+CTRL+E)

So apparently, there are no editable text objects in any of these Smart Objects. And just creating new text here isn't going to work well because all of those effects and color overlays are all designed to work with this text.

You can delete it and write your own text using the Type Tool. But all those effects that were added probably won't line up correctly.

Also, since this is buried in like 4 different Smart Objects, it is going to be confusing for you to edit this since it seems you don't really know the basics of Photoshop.

You should do some of the beginner tutorials so that you can get familiar with the tools, techniques and working with Smart Objects.

Just keep the layers. You do not need to merge them. No need for smart object either. Just select all layers you want to move, or the group.

And hit ctrl +t and move.

Don't use the eraser. That will permanently destroy the pixels. Use a Layer Mask. Painting the mask with black completely hides the pixels. Painting with white reveals them. Painting with various shades of grey will make the pixels semi-transparent.

i would like to get a logo which is a mix between the symbol above and the font on the bottom.

the symbol should be extended with the "AMC" below and still keeps the triangle form from the symbol on top.

"AMC" should have the same portions of the linesize and spacing between the lines so it looks harmonic to the symbol.

the A and C should use the outlines from the symbol. for the M it seems to be not possible do that.

would be also great to have the C in the same edgy style like the A , M and symbol but i dont know if theres a good way to do it.

regarding the colourscheme im not really sure yet. the logo is for a space strategy game where asteroids are being mined for resources.

probably the best colour would be just that red like in the first picture to have a nice contrast with the dark environment in space. but also colours could work with the relation to mining / asteroids / rocks for example like a grey/brown/silver/gold tone.

im also not sure if it would be cool to have outlines in a different colour (for example red outlines and black/dark grey inside). or multicoulered lines like in the third picture.

i hope thats all understandable.

I think you've got a really good idea there, but as a logo for a brand, (within a video game too) it looks way too complicated.

The logos used in the fictional, cyber/space themed Android Netrunner look like these.

They're intentionally drastically different promary colours to help the players distinguish between the factions.

I started to have a play....

And then I tried an entirely different route, off-brief:

You're probably not going to be able to extract that with any significant quality. You'd probably want to trace it with vector graphics.

You can use the Pen Tool in Photoshop but honestly, it doesn't have the functionality of Illustrator.

The base functionality is there though.

There are options for it that should persist the session... And there are Tool Presets that can be defined (and re-used). However, I'm not sure you can set "feathering" in the Tool Preset. You'd probably want to use a Custom Action for that.

So I was thinking with the new ai tools does anyone like this idea, we all know about generative fill and how amazing it is but what is if lets say you have a women with a red hat and you wanted it to be blue well what if you could just prompt it saying what you want to change then the software changes the contrast and rgb instead of generating a new hat

And that could be with a number of different thing not just Photoshop but for instance premiere let's say your prompt is "zoom in on the women's face at time index 10:20" just examples but then the AI will take the necessary steps to complete that request
