just wishlisted the game cause of this pic lol
lol
I'm not sure what you're doing to get that result. However, you can try various layers styles or duplicate the layer, blur it and change the Blend Mode for that layer.
so yeah what i did was i made like 7 copies of it with gausen blur increased it on each one the last one was like 500px and then above the third copy i make a cloud thing and at the very bottom it was a black image and above them all i had a greadient map
Why not just try a Layer Style... Outer Glow or Drop Shadow with a specific color assigned?
yeah idk i followed the first tutorial i found
Just dbl-click on an empty portion of the Layer to open the Styles Window, add an Outer Glow and tweak to meet your requirements.
anyone know how to fix the liquify error
Can you show the specific error that you're referring to?
Is there a way to add QUICK TRANSFORM to the toolbar for easy use like in my video? (sketchbook) https://youtu.be/pQBqyRsz1fw?si=1lUC1Xq_ml4qA6Oh
You cannot create your own floating toolbars. You'd need to write a plugin to do something like that.
There are Selection and Transform Tools that do all of those things which can be accessed quickly using keyboard shortcuts.
Hello, does anyone know how to create this effect?
looks like mask on image
How to select the pixels on a PNG without selecting the whole image
there's many tools
lasso
magic wand
you can select by color
depends what you want to select
What's the quickest way tho, the PNG has a bunch of edges and it takes a while to do it
Photoshop doesn't have just a select pixels feature for individual layers?
if it's on separate layer you can ctrl+click on layer to auto select, invert selection (ctrl+shift+I) and go to select -> modify -> expand and choose how many pixels you want to expand
but this will work only if you want to remove border pixels of your png layer
Hello, anyone might know why can't I use the history brush properly?
How would you crop or cut a image that's outside the guide lines?
How to make it so an outer glow doesnt cover the entire image under it? Like I'm trying to give an image with a lower opacity an outer glow but you can see the glow under it
Any idea how can I make the black layer lineup better?
anyone know how i can replicate this text? I paid someone to do it for me before but I want to replicate it
I think it's the bebas nue font with a blue > white gradient and a light blue stroke
Got it, thank you.
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @ripe quest (current: #3 - 1662)
And a drop shadow
this font?
this the full iomage
Yeah. Delete it. - then duplicate the white layer, turn it black and nudge it down a bit. Done!
how can i make so that my photoshop does not mess with images that i import, it makes them more blurry and such and im working much with pixelarts
hey guys, sorry to disturb but i just edited an image in photoshop but the text wraps around the box of the image instead of the targeted image?
anyway i can photoshop the hand as its own png instead of being a block with an image in it?
thank you! i think the 3D effect or whatever it is on this really sells it. It's well done.
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @vernal ember (current: #80 - 20)
oh waiitt i just realized i already did the path thing right, just had to set the path of wrap text as the path i made in photoshop
thanks!
hellooo

how do i make the transparent part of the wall just a copy of the wall
How do i fix the opacity? i coped 3 group layers (from the bottom left one) and the opacity has changed for some reason
never thought making a simple twitch banner would be so hard 🤣
can I install Photoshop CC on Windows 7 (64bit) PC?
Is the newest version of CC compatible with Windows 7? I noticed that Windows 10 is recommended but I'm not able to switch to Windows 10 at this time.
👍
Can anyone give me some tips on how to replicate the black vertical lines here
with shadow effect going outwards on each of them as you can see in the pic
yes, this is the answer to your question 😅 I think the easiest way to achieve this is to add a drop shadow layer style to your image
can you clarify?
have you tried using the Generative Fill?
right click layer > reset transform. also see https://discord.com/channels/547473772727238676/927508840193351750
this one
anyone know how to fix this?
its been like this ever since
What dimensions do I use if I want a A4 210x297 with 4mm bleed?
and i could not use it at all
Anyone know with 4 mm bleed?
Liquify is quite power intensive and only works with all the GPU bells and whistles. Could it be that? Lack of space in Scratch disk and RAM a bit weak? GPU not compatible? Maybe some functions in the performance tab of the preferences that have been disabled?
Can you check if your GPU is compatible? (
in the help menu
you need to add 4mm on each side (so 8 mm in total)
You know you can add directly in the field?
Unfortunately Photoshop doesn't handle bleeds like Illustrator does (were you specify the bleed separately from the canvas size)
also it won't give you separate guides for the safe area (margins) and bleed.
So the best is to create a new file in A4, place your guides at the very edge of the canvas and then go to image>canvas size and add 8 mm in height and 8 mm in width
and add 8 mm in each field without bothering yourself with a calculator
That way your guides will stay put and you'll be able to visualise your bleed
See how the bottom left arrow is black and the other 3 have a lower opacity? I duplicated the bottom left group (just 2 lines) and used that on the other 3 corners but dunno why they're not solid black
no idea, check your layers. you can always just duplicate a layer until it's fully opaque and merge the layers
Yeah that's what i ended up doing but it's for twitch so ideally i'd like to keep the size as low as possible (dunno how much 3-4 layers on each corner would add)
Because i dunno what else he wants put on there apart from words
It's like eveey duplicate lowered the opacity by like 10%
it says 100% on everything tho
If you 'merge the layers', you squish them together anyway. It won't impact on filesize
you probably export it as jpg or png so I wouldn't worry about the final file size
also, I assume you'll export as a PNG at the end, so you can have 1000 layers in the PSD. Makes no difference
lol
Oh really? Well yeah i merged them all in the end so that's good to know haha
Cheers 🙂
Thank you the tips too!
I forgot to ask one more thing...
how to ideally soften all the corners around the image
as you can see in the pic
I doubt that they were rounded up manually, correct?
forget everything here, can someone show me how to make the background with the pink and blue with the effect in the background
how do I make a gradient for the contour of an already created contour
select silhuete, expand/contract select, father select, fill color select !
.
Bro, this is literally just a solid color, with a cartoon effect that you can find for free on freepik
?
wait how do I actually get the effect onto photoshop?
Oh, sorry, was AFK
Np, the image got rounded up automatically when I tested it
.
Thanks!!!
nope! I always do it just like you did in your video, it's the fastest, most efficient and precise way
you could mess around with knockout... but it messes up the workflow 😛
@sly hawk sorry for the @ but in the picture sent earlier it has an effect with white lines coming through etc. I was wondering how to get this put it in place it in photoshop
oh the flair bit... ok 🙂
is there a group for premiere pro
(It's combined with the AfterEffects group)
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @sly hawk (current: #7 - 760)
james im up to this part and it is messing up
do you want to add a gradient mask to your layer? James used gradient map in his video
im not sure what you mean by a firdaient mask
I just want it to fit into the background

delete the layer mask, it should make things easier for you
where is that?
select it and press backspace
that didnt do anything
what are you trying to do now?
im trying to have it in the background
grab the layer in the layers panel and move it down, below the other layers
it is now in the background
but I am trying to do what james did
in the video
and blend it in
ok so you actually want the layer mask on that layer? add it back by pressing the mask button
at the bottom of your layers panel with the proper layer selected
I want it in the background yes
Hello, how can i achieve this ? a graphic wrapping around an object ? is there a name for this kind of design i can look up on youtube ? thanks
Can be done just using a Layer Mask to paint out and hide the portions of the ribbon that are behind the person.
I see thanks, is this the optimal way to go about it ?
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @ripe quest (current: #3 - 1663)
It's ok. - Simple error 🙂
Alternatively, you could just use a big brush....
I think so.. This is how I would do it.
hello
can i get some advice how to delet the background and make it more living, and maybe replace the background for a nice thing
my own picture
I would try using the Generative Fill to clean up the background. You can also use it to add anything you find interesting!
where can i find that setting in ps
where is the setting "generative fill"?
@serene coral
make a selection, right click it and select Generative Fill
with magnetic lasso @serene coral
with any selection tool
but it dont show generative fill
Edit>Generative fill
is it there? what is your Photoshop version

Guys how can I recreate this light appearing on a character in ps?
It's a Rim Light. See: https://youtu.be/er6dnKdGG-M?si=c9CW63ooIAUmItKc
In this easy photoshop tutorial I will teach you a simple trick how to use create juicy Rim Light using Gradient Maps in Photoshop for your digital illustration. It can be recreated in Krita as well as in other software for digital painting.

I don't use MacOS regularly but I think if you "Get Info" on the file, go to "Open With..." and locate Photoshop in the list. Then there is like "always open" or "change all" or something like that in the info box. Hope this helps.
oh thx

how do i fix this im trying to import this image i made in illustrator my image im trying to put it in is 460 x 216 px and this is the image im trying to bring into photoshop vs how it looks when its as big as i can make it but i need it a lot smaller then that
idealy it would be that size maybe even smaller
all of my other images that are even smaller somehow get scaled up fine
im talking pixel art images
is it becasue im scaling down
So there was some poetry on a pavement and we didnt like that so we needed to change it for a school project. I thought ah i will start the evening before (Now) with photoshop how hard can it be?
This is the pavement currenctly
and i need there to be a qr code in the like stones
how would i get just the bottom text in this image as a transparent png?
Select color range try
hello, is anyone able to create such a number for me? I need "75"
I think i found a fix, but im not sure if it really is a fix and it might do something weird but i tried turning off the graphics processor in preferences < performance and it worked
but when its on the liquify just doesnt work
so maybe there is a con in turning off the graphics processor?
also in the gpu compatibility thing
i saw 2 errors and it said i need to update my drivers
Hi guys, I'm frustrated because, I'm exporting image with the resample method Nearest Neighbour, but i realize that windows show me smoothed edges. I also check previous works i've done with this type of resample and they are also smoothed right now.
These works were perfectly visible with hard edges but right now they aren't.
It is something messed up in windows?
hello, how do i fix this?
- i've purge the chaces and histories
- i've deleted also cache font also
- CTfont also deleted
*fixed : reinstalling the font
how do i get a thought bubble on photoshop?
Window > Shapes... hamburger menu (upper right corner of the panel)... Choose the "Legacy Shapes and More" option. Load those shapes. There is a folder called "Talk Bubbles"
can someone please tell me how to remove the lines?
you can't literally 'remove' those. you can 'guess' what's under
there is a setting but I never got it to work the way I want. The way I do it now is I make sure the image I added is a smart object (it should be given you haven't changed that in the preferences), right click the layer and select 'Reset transform'. This assures your image is scaled on your canvas in 100%.
Is there any way to remove it?
I'm still a beginner and this picture is very important to me
you won't 'uncover' what's below the marker. you can try regenerating it with ai but you'll never get the original image back
Hello everyone,
I have a question.
I have found myself having quite allot of fun on photoshop and doing things on it. And i plan on doing allot more editing. Ai stuff aswell.
Now i am thinking to buy a new mac cause the one i have now is around 10 years old.
Anyone who can help me out.
Atm im looking into the mac studio, the 2400 euro one ( the basic model)
Or the macbook pro m3 basic model 16 inch from around i think 3000 euro
What do you guys and girls think?
Now also another question. Is thos more than enough to play with adobe photoshop?
The basic model shouldent have any lag when i use the eraser?
Perhaps anyone have any other suggestion mac wise that would be cheaper or if not good enough better?
Thanks everyone in advance!
Having GPU drivers updated is quite critical in making PS work properly. Certain features are quite power hungery, so you should either do it, or if it's not enough, maybe upgrade?
Here are all the things you can try to find a cure
https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html
I couldn't help you on the Mac side, but at the very least, I can point you to the system requirements page
https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/photoshop/system-requirements.html
there is "minimum" and there is "optimal"
I don't know how upgradable are Macs these days, but if possible it's helpful to be able to boost RAM and Storage space (Storage space can be an external drive, if pressed)
GPU is an area to be taken seriously.
unfortunately, you can't apply it to multiple layers at once. you can assign a shortcut to it to speed things up
The way I do it (and it won't resolve the center issue in one click) is to open the second file in a separate tab, and go right-click > duplicate layer and choose the first file as a destination (I never do drag and drop of files, for some reason, but I think in that case it will help anyway), center it, and then go image>reveal all, in the case of the pasted image is bigger than the base one
I don't know if that makes sense.
But smart objects works better 🙂
can anyone help me to make this thumbnail look better?
its for roblox by the way
uh i cant really think im just trying to make it more eye catching
I mastered every kit in roblox bedwars
kits are basically skins that give you abilities
the skin in the center is me
the characters behind me are the kits
yep, a good use of actions feature! have fun!
How can I get this to make this loop? I am trying to make VFX for something and I need a ring of sheet music but I cant find any "wavy sheet music" that loops, it just ends up looking like this
yes i know its the wrong way around but i am going to fix that
You mean you want the top lines to align with the bottom lines so they connect?
Is that something you created yourself?
Yes, I want it to be a constant loop so that it looks like this the entire way around
No its an image I got from google, its just for practice
Im not very good at drawing or anything lol
The thing is you will need to align it manually, for example with the warp feature or with liquify
It's similar in a sense than doing a repeat pattern (Seamless pattern) so I would use the same steps
Using the offset filter for example. That wont solve the matching of lines, but will allow you to easily visualise it
What's the size in pixels of your image?
theres about like 70 kits in total those are just the kits i used in the video bc im gonna do a series
the texture is 1080x1080
if its easier, is there a way to make my own texture without tons of tweaking to get it right?
I can try to make one from scratch but like I said im not very good at drawing or anything like that so it would be difficult
The way to work with repeating patterns (it's the same idea here) is to duplicate your layer, and runfilter>other>offset. This sallows the layer to show the edges in the center. according to it size. So in that case, you need to input 1080/2 (960) in each field (height and whidth)
once you got that, you have a visualisation of how the edges look
Then when you see how the edges don't connect, you will need to align them manually. For example by selecting the bit that don't connect with the other and applying a warp to the selection
Sorry my numbers were wrong 😂
It supposed to be for an aura for something im making, its supposed to go in a perfect look around the entire character
I see ill give this a try
select one of the sides like this and right click to select "free transform"
It supposed to look similar to this but with sheet music instead
when you're on free transform, right click again to go to "warp"
@still tinsel when you are on warp, you can adjust the sides with the hanbles
Although in that case, I guess it will be hard because both sides do in different directions. If you don't want to spend too much time on this since it's just for practice, I would suggest choosing another test file. However, you can try things out on this one, see how it's done and then do a proper work on another. Or be stubborn like a good designer 😂 and spend some time achieving the result you want. It's not straighforward but certainly not impossible!
Wouldn’t that make it look more like the red example though? I’m trying to make it look like bottom line
Maybe i can crop the wave halfway and use that instead
sorry didnt mean to reply
Yes that's a possibility
https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/photoshop/using/warp-images-shapes-paths.html
another possibility but it requires another set of skills altoghether would be to create a brush in that shape. Or find such brush somewhere

https://www.template.net/design-templates/brushes/music-photoshop-brush/
Or that, probably not free but hey!
The thing is to draw the line with thebrush between two end points so everything repeats
This is what im trying to recreate but instead of a trail it wraps aroun the body, worst case scenario i can always just ask to buy the texture from the guy who made this lol
I think this is very achievable even without those steps I gave you, but there will be an element of drawing that will be inevitable.
Also not sure Photoshop is best suited for this (I would do it in illustrator, symbols is a very useful feature here)
What is the software that will be used to animate it?
Its not animated, its using a built in feature to ROBLOX Studio called Beams where you basically select 2 points and it automatically makes a beam between the 2 points which you can apply a texture to, you can then change the settings like speed, color, size etc
I dont have illustraitor or after effects
The texture I already premade works fine on straight lines but when you try using it for a ring it just doesnt work
Here's how my texture I made in like 5 mintues works on a straight line compared to the circle
it automatically stretches to line up n stuff like that
Oh OK... So I don't know what kind of file format they will need (Sorry I don't play any game at all 🙂 )
these are the settings
They just use PNGs for the textures
Honestly? I would draw a set of lines that I will make look (just using the guides make sure they begin and end in the same line on the edge of the canvas, and paste various musical notes on them in the middle. As long as the adges are on the same line, the middle can go wavy
when repeated 4 times and all the elements distributed. You know for sure that your shape is looping, because you've been using the same Y parameters for both beginning and end points. X values are separated by the exact lengh of the canvas
I got it to loop I just need to fix the texture now because it looks bad
Like Rex said they we're playing at the wrong times so I disabled and reenabled them both at the exact same time and now it loops
but as you can see the texture is really stretched
So now i have to figure how to fix that
Maybe it should be longer?
repeat the same line twice so you double the lengh
if it loops once it loops twice...
Same brain here @river otter 😂
Ok so like this?
its still stretched
Ill figure it out eventually
I have an idea which ill try
No idea, I already said I don't play any games, also I'm really crap at everything animation related!
Well the reason I made the texture black and white is that its the only way to chance the color of things for some reason
it has to be this orientation thats why its sideways
You can make really cool things using roblox studio
I'm still new to learning it but these are 2 things ive made so far
But to some people this would be considered a 4-5/10
@river otter Thank you for the help

guys can you explain me why sometimes when I add a color fill layer and i try to pain on it everything works fine but then when I try to pain on it a second time, (maybe after i did something on another layer) it just create a black layer and start painting white instead of the color i've chosen?
sorry for this question can doses anyone in here know how to resise a normal photo on a layer in adobephotoshop
the answear is CRL+T
Hi hi, does anyone know how i fix this?
i only transferred the .pdf from my laptop to my pc
hey there folks
So I continue making boxes for my custom mod and wanted to ask if It's even possible to make the left side of the box here and the top preferably too make much sharper looking (non-blurry)?
How do I make it like blend in with the picture?
does anyone know if there's any difference in the channel mixer in PS vs AE?
Anyone know how to make a comic strip template?
You will need a better picture. This one has a background which is a huge mess. Get image with smoke on black background and then you need to set the smoke layer's blending mode to screen or add
Yes, also there are many templetes available to download on web. WHy dont get just one Would be easier : )
I don't think there is any. I'm attaching a picture for you.
to make images less blurry you can sharpen them. If quality is low you can upscale. If there is too much noise you can denoise a bit.
any idea why my motion blur is just not blurring the edges
am i just having a brain fart
or something
maybe you have a mask applied or a clipping mask
it is a masked selection from a larger image but ive masked things out before, then blurred and the edges would still be blurred im pretty sure
Before you apply blurr to it. Change the layer into a smart object. Then apply and see.
thats the first thing i always do
If you are applying direction blurr then I think the head of it should not be blurry.
only the tail because its moving that way. speaking image wise.
🤔
im not following
no matter which angle i change the blur i still see that solid cut out edge of the mask
this is so weird and annoying
It obviously would stay inside the sharp edge of mask if it blurrs only outside. of image
Unless you soft the mask too
restart ps or something
see if you have any other layer which duplicates the edge..
can u hop in vc real quick ?
just show i can show
maybe u can find something i cant
i just restarted
and there are no other layers overlapping
idk if im just being dumb or something and missing something
ok
what i think problem is the layer is too big. and you are apply blurr so the edges are actually outside
but lets see
how do i push to talk lmao
i rarely use blurr lol
idk XD
there is no permission fir screenshare
ok so for once
the layer you are applying blurr to
rasterize it (later undo, dont save), then apply bllurr and see
and when you ctrl+t, you should only see the part you masked. not whole original image. Then see what happens.
its working for me as it should.
inside mask too.
i was never seeing the whole image
BUT
this did fix my issue, im seeing the blur extend outward now
rather than be confined
but what if i want this as a smart object
with the blur
not rasterized
I can not tell without actually seeing the whole layer setup and whats actually wrong.
Maybe send a photo of layer?
gotchu
got itlooking how i want
but
i want it as a smart object to begin with
instead of rasterized
but it wasnt working when it was a smart object for somereason
nvm
cracked the code
I am confused too, don't want to guide you wrong.
i def had a brainfart no worries lmao
i just had to turn the orginial image with the mask into a singular smart object
so when the blur is activated is exactly as i wanted
trying to add the blur while the mask was still linked was allowing me to still add the blur but obv be restricted by the edges because of the linked mask
my brain just wasnt clicking
well atleast its solved now
its alright
Uh I know there's no difference in the look of it but how the numbers work. In PS it seems to be saying that it's working on percentage. In AE it's simply a number instead of a percentage. Unless it actually is a percentage. Not sure. What I meant was if there was any difference in this calculation or not.
90 innPS isn't the same as 90 in AE for me.
I mean the options are same. All 7
For instance. 200 in PS isn't the same as 200 in AE. It's way much stronger in AE. But somehow the value of 150 looked very similar.
Doesn't seem like so. Is there any documentation over how the calculations work for them though.
they are same.
but ye idk about value difference (if there is any..)
I mean I didn't mean to say the options have any differences. It has all the same options from PS.
Just the value calculation didn't seem right at all.
Maybe. I don't use it much.
Also. In PS anything below 0 gives the same result as 0.
You can be right. They are difference softwares afterall.
It didn't seem like exponential or something. For instance. If I used 0 in both, it had the same result. Same at 100. But other than that. Any increase or decrease in value seemed to be like, halved in AE. Like. 95 in AE gave the same look as 90 in PS. 150 in AE was same as 200 in PS. 🤷
So idk how the value calculation is going on
I'm using a pen over my draw tablet and every time I use the brush, the opacity change its values, even though they are 100%. However, if I use my mouse and draw a random line, the opacity does not change (remains by the set up, 100%)... How can I fix this?
I have never experienced this before and I don't know why it is occurring
Isn't it how it works normally?
When you apply more pressure it should be dark and when less pressure it should be light colored.
After upgrading Photoshop to 2024, the brush folder always starts in a collapsed state. So I always open each brush folder manually. There is a shortcut to expand all brush folders at once, but I selectively want some brush folders to be open and others to be collapsed. I want to keep the brush folder I opened like in the old version of Photoshop. Is there a way?
Hold control while expanding one, it will expand all.
oh nvm.
No, I don't think you understood my question. I also know the shortcut keys. I want it to stay in the same state it was in before.
Same bug for me. It collapse all panels and i still havents found solution
I am not aware of current bugs etc.
No...
I mean
I am making pressure over my brush
Everything should work fine, being dark when using my pen
But it is not the case
Is this the issue? https://www.reddit.com/r/wacom/comments/134co67/pen_strokes_randomly_lose_pen_pressure_and/?rdt=41446
I will try
I am new to photoshop and for my work recently I have to work with a lot of photo retouching is there any photoshop actions for removing reflections from faces.
Everyone is annoyed by this problem.

-_-
This post is from 5 months ago... Why doesn't Adobe fix this problem?
Update: I found nothing
Should I create a reddit account and create a post over there?
or perhaps reopen my Photoshop?
Maybe/
which one?
Are u new to using pen?
Did you calibrate the tablet btw?
I think first use of the tablet needs a calibration unless it's old and you've been using it fine before.
Yeah
I got this pen and the tablet from the internet called 10moons
do you know about pen pressure?
TUrn off this option and see
its near flow and opacity
Let me reopen my Photoshop cause I restarted my PC
Odd
@rapid obsidian Can I call you in DMs to show you?
ok
Is this the channel I'd use to ask how to achieve a certain effect?
yes
Alright cool, so basically, I was wondering how I'd properly use an image like this and apply it onto a wall to give the effect of the skull coming out of it
I've gotten close, but theres always certain dead givaways that ruin it
what do you mean by using this image?
Like use it as an overlay. Not quite sure how to word it properly.
This is the kind of effect I'm looking for
Key difference obviously being a skull inside a wall instead
Hm there are quite a few ways to do but You can do it by painting highlights and shadows
Just paint with brush
I'd like to get it as close to the overlay image as possible, so in my head, I thought it would be possible to remove all of the white from the skull image, and just put it on top of the wall image, then make adjustments to make it match better
You will get most accurate results by handpainting
Gotcha, alright thanks
whats name of this art?
this
Well it's not a photoshop artwork, it's a prop from starwars. Just google "trapped in carbonite" to find it
hm
how can i get clean outlines for this? u can see its kinda like blurry and i dont want that.
Hi, I'm sort of new to Photoshop so I have no clue how to do this,
I need to make a x, y coordinate plane in Photoshop with slightly transparent grid squares but I can't find ANY tutorials on how to do this
I can only find videos on how to make a grid pattern, but that doesn't include the X and Y plane I need and also it's not precise
Trying to use the simple gradient tool, which I learnt to do via selecting the layer, creating a layer mask, and then pressing G for the gradient tool. But G is now selecting the 3D Material Drop Tool and giving me a Stop sign when hovering over the layer?
Denoise it and then sharpen it.
how do I achieve this color grading
Right click on the tool and you will see multiple of them.
it depens on what image you are starting with.
If you mean to just draw, then You can hold shift while using brush tool and dash by click points. it will draw straight lines.
ALso rectangle select tool is at 90 degree so you can make a select with it (size of a line) and then use it
I made a pixel art size of 128x128, if am I resize it 64x64 will anything happen?
If someone help ping me please
yes pixels will merge.
If i make it on resize web site?
Thank
Not working
in tool menu right click the tool to see multiple
click this at the bottom of tool baar to select your favorite tools
also the layers you are trying to fill are not normal layers, they are shape layers. which makes them not directly fillable, you will need to find their fill in the properties or rasterize them.
I've tried it with 2 normal photos and they still don't allow gradients
a normal layer should not have any icon
but the tool u are using is also not the right one
that actually worked
so go to tools and select it.
thanks
great
You could use the vector tools in Photoshop, they work as in Illsutrator (or as in any vector software, meaning they give you clean, scalable lines, something that a brush will always fail at)
Text tool is a vector tool, and so is the line tool too. So you can use the line tool to create two lines. click on the first point to crreate the beginning point, hold shift to maintian the line parrallel to the X axis and drag your line until to reach the right end point
see the settings in my screenshot
Same for the vertical axis, where you'kll drag perpendicularly. No need to compute the angle if you hold SHIFT. It will be 90 degrees
Then you can use the rectangle tool to create the right angle little icon, again hold SHIFT and it will tuen the rectangle into a square
Yup, what I just did XD Decided to bite the bullet and do it all manually
Had to set the X and Y of each line manually, the size of the canvas made it even worse XD 10k pixels x 10k pixels
That's all I could think of before anyone responded lol
This is the bottom left of the plane. and I love it
Basically knowing the difference between vector and raster (Raster = Pixles) is very important
https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/photoshop/using/image-essentials.html
In Photoshop Vector tools are a separate subset and the kind of things you want to do, they are ideal
Also if you want to create a grid from scratch

If someday you ever need a grid for composition purpose and don't need it to appear in the final artwork, then there is a separate grid system in Photoshop there
Settings for size and colour can be found in the preferences
Hey hey, a bit new to the server i knwo but how can i use the uhm
photoshop fill tool to act like paint.net's fill tool
i want to fill not only with color but also with such patterns and designs
It depends what you need to fill. A vector shape or a puxel baed shape. For a vector shape it's easy, just select pattern or solid colour or gradient in the dropdown menu of the top menu settings
But for a pixel shape, you will probably need to have your shape as a mask and apply that mask to a solid colour/gradient/pattern adjustment layer
You can fill a shape by also using layer styles, but not with the fill tool
the fill tool can do patterns though
but I never seen anyone use it, for some reason
i've just seen that now, hah
that seems useful
To be honest, I never really seen anyone use the fill tool in quite a ong time, since it's rather crude as a tool, and most people who would need solid colours for infographics and such will use vector shapes instead
Not saying that it doesn't have its uses, but it's just very limited
I mostly use it for hobby and fun, i'm not at the advanced level to do complex stuff with photoshop so its a life saver for me i'd say
I usually make fun stuff with friends for games we are in such as logos for fictional companies we create
The thing is if you want to apply a pattern with the fill tool, you need to import patterns or create them yourself (unless the ones given with Photoshop are fine with you, which I doubt very much)
Yup, sadly the grass pattern isn't gonna be much too useful for me for now, how can i create a pattern if that question isn't a problem for you
If that's what you do with Photoshop (and not photo editing, or complex stuff) I can recomment Adobe Express which is a simpler graphic design tool from Adobe (it's web based)
Oh, found a video about it!
The helps files are useful too!
https://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/patterns.html
Well, i also edit photos and such for fun but I've seen adobe express which i might get later on if i feel the need for its tools more later on
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Will do, im kinda new to photoshop so i gotta watch tutorial on how to sharpen and denoise
I tried sharping it, but the end result wasn't that much better, maybe there are better techniques ?
What you got is probably the the result of upscaling something that was very small (not necessarily your fault, maybe you found it like that)
I spoke about the importance of knowing the difference between vector and raster/pixels a bit higher up in the discussion so have a look.
Your image is pixel based so everytime someone tries to change its dimension you'll get those artifacts
the only way I find is to increwase the contrast
it's not even perfect
basically, you eliminate all the gray that constitute the artwork and only leave balck or white. I used the image>adjustment>levels for that
One other option would be to digitise it, meaning, turn it into vector
you can do that in Photoshop
I actually did re-shape it, yea, the deck box originally looked a lot different, the side and the top (which are blurry now, could be barely seen before perspective warping the image, they were better quality tho.
TO digitise: You need to go to the libraries panel, click on the little + sign at the bottom, choose "extract from image" (second screenshot)
then go to the "shape" option in the top panel (first screenshot), and save it
Now you got a vector shape that you can reshape and will never loose its sharpness
before/after
The best way of course is to draw those shapes in vector at the beginning instead of trying to do damage limitation
every page has this large spot. ive got a curves and levels to remove most of it, but the harsher ones are still there which I have to manually do myself. is there a quicker way to automate the process?
does anyone know how to achieve the following? namely the "182". i don't care about the textures, the only part i am trying to recreate is the over layed "182" over a rectangle like that
I thought it was a clipping mask but its not working
YO NEED HELP
?
does anyone know what it means when the "hardness" of a brush is greyed out?
i downloaded this cool graphitti brush, but i want it more of a solid (or more solid) than this
yes
?
i know hows to do it
like what im trying to do is something like this
but i want it more solid with the graphitti brush
like as solid as the star
a better blend if you will
actually it looks like if i just click multiple times in the same section i get the desired effect
much better
damnnn
not what i was looking for but you took it to the next level and looks cool as hell
i will want a little bit of texture but this seems like an excellent way to create cool shapes
let me see if i can replicate what you did just a sec
mix brushes, use white background, black brush, blur, use levels for choke effect
my screen recorder does not record the windows that open
yeah i was trying to figure out what you did, but it was confusing with no ui feedback
how did you shift the color to grey like that?
image, hue and saturation, desaturate, levels adjust black and white, ctrl + l
to work with levels, and create this choke effect, you always need to have a black and white composition,
blur and levels is the key!
okay, ok, now levels
oh oops im an idiot i was here
that's not what you meant huh, you meant image -> adjustments -> level
yep
i want to do some photo editing
(color grading specifically)
do i need lightroom or can i do i t in photoshop
anyone
lightroom, you can change colors and some localized adjustments such as spots, pimples
gotcha
photoshop, you have total freedom, but it is more complex to learn,
ive already learned photoshhop
i was just wondering
if i also ned to learn
uhm
lightroom
There is no need, unless you need to edit colors/photos in batches
you art?
yessir
im trying to do the fliers for my school for service hours
So apparently, you still haven't learned how to deal with any colors, because your colors are all original without any abientation
Go to YouTube and look for environment tutorials
YES
gracias
that is one thing i havent learned
i was notcing it
my colors dont pop
hey, I was wondering if anybody knew how to make this effect on the text to look like shiny gold with imperfections and so on
hink about the basic concepts of a designer, for example, having a palette with few colors (1, 2, 3 colors maximum) this palette must match, that's why the color wheel exists
gotcha
i only know complmentaries as of right now
bevel
those always work well with eachother
what are my biggest mistakes in this piece?
bevel, and noise sobrepositions
any 1 know how to fix
that looks almost near perfect. but where do i open this panel exactly from again
??
It's the libraries panel, if it's not already open for you, first off... BOOO!
otherwise you can open it here. The + sign is at the bottom
It would help if you could explain what's wrong. The better way to get help is to make it easy for those willing 🙂
I mean I see you are trying to sample colours but I don't see what's wrong
Particularly since you don't show the layers panel etc, as some adjustments could impact the way the colour sampler sees colours
okay one second
is this any better? my problem is that the colours are not matching what i’m selecting
@vapid flume
it’s only a recent problem and not sure what i did for it to change
Possibly because you colour picker is in RGB and your file is in CMYK?
Also have you got any soft proof setting so you can see the real colours in CMYK? They seem incredibly garish on your screen for them to be displayed as mimicking CMYK (it could be the camera though)
Do you need those to print on a commercial printer?
what do i do to change it
not very familiar with ps yet
it says RGB/8/CMYK
ITo be honest a video doesn't help much. I will try to rewatch
The screenshot is easier to look at
still hasn’t fixed it
hello does anyone know how can i rotate text in the end
Ideally a screenshot like that is always super helpful
like cercle way
wait is there any other way to do it
I mean on those screenshots we can see everything (layers, layer styles, layers blending, colour modes, file size, filename etc)
Any other way than what? Digitising?)
yea
not if you want super crisp lines
okay
Or you should strat with a drawing done with crisp lines from the start
OK, just go to image>mode> and choose RGB
does anyone know how can i make the Tunisian dreams roleplay goes on logo line
rotate it a bit in the end
Because here you're still on the wrong colour mode (see those asterisks next to the file name? They indicate 1- your file isn't saved, 2- your colour profile mismatches your screen)
still not working the colours arent matching one another
Are you still seeing those asteriks? What does it says next to the filename?
@vapid flume please
so i saved it and the * is still there
how can i now cut out the outside of the cross as perfectly as i can, magic wand doesnt seem to work and i dont think its a good way
is it 1 layer?
might that have anything to do qwth it ??
uhhh
You need to use the option "text on a path" in Photoshop, but you need to draw a vector path with the pen tool first ( apath that follows the shape of the big R) and with the type tool, when you will get close to that path, you'll see the cursor change shape. Type your text here
ive never used smart filters
If you digittised it, all you have to do is get rid of the white (you got a black shape and nothing else
However I will need to go now, I have some work to do
i need the inside to stay white so i can change the color of the inside cross later
wait lemme show u sum
this is my goal
i rlly need help with doing a perfect cutout for this. the inside of the cross has to stay white
Hey, why cant I select a layer just by clicking on it
for some reason it wants to mvoe and not select on click
I remember being able to just click the layer on screen to select
Open the Layers Panel (Window > Layer... or F7 on the kb) and activate the Layer itself by clicking on it. Should change to a lighter grey when its active.
yeah on the layers window ik, but I want to select them just by clicking inside the workspace
I can only select them when holding ctrl it appears
Switch to the Move Tool (V) and activate "Auto-Select" mode
Just remember that you have that switched on. It can be annoying sometimes when you don't want that behavior.
yeah I use it when organising layers
Usually pressing auto on lightroom does the trick but I'm having a real hard time making the colors on this as natural as possible
Why holding left click on zoom button it goes into that weird zooming where u dont need to hold m1 anymore
can I disable it
worst thing is that it doesnt happen constantly, only sometimes
"Auto" may not always work as you expect. Most of the time, you'll want to manually adjust levels.
I tried manually adjusting it but got confused with the right amount of contrast and saturation especially eith the pics with yellow and red colors
I want to make a light blur over a whole image
any help?
that is what I want to do it on
thank you!

A friend is making a theme for me, I have a screenshot for him that's almost perfect, I'm just hoping to change a few of the words. I'm attaching the image, but if it helps I also have a screenshot of another menu screen with a lot more text if that helps. Would anyone be willing to do me a huge favor? I have the tech savvy of a brain dead chimp...
Is there a group for Fresco?
I use a Huion HS610, I recently started using Photoshop in a class of mine at school, and so I bought Photoshop for myself at home. I've had this tablet for quiet a while, and am thinking of upgrading to a display tablet soon. But today, I ran into an issue with my pen pressure with photoshop.
At my school, I believe we have Wacom Display Tablets, and I haven't had any issues with Pen pressure over there. But at home, with my Huion tablet, photoshop wont detect any pressure.
I have already looked around for solutions, and I've tired the common solution of creating a Txt file and putting in a command. But that doesn't work. I've also attempted to use windows ink, but that doesn't work either.
I need a solution that doesn't use windows ink as well, because Windows Ink creates lag for my tablet, which isn't ideal for workflow at all, and extremely frustrating.
I do have alternative programs I can use, but I really enjoy using photoshop, and to find a solution would make me very happy.
Can someone help me find a solution?
Edit : Please Ping if/when anyone responds
There isn't an official Discord for Fresco. Sorry.
Not sure which Huion you have but I haven't noticed any problems with my Huion Kamvas 24. Maybe check out the Huion Support pages to see if there are any recommendations for using your device with Photoshop.
This is an ancient version of Photoshop. Perhaps upgrade to a more current version of the app.
How do I make lines like this easy in photoshop?
yeah i can’t
cuz the program is on a usb
the ps i’m using is from 2012 i think😂
quick question, not sure if there is a way to do this but... I want to take a circle and slice it into 16 pieces, but NOT like you'd cut a cake. More like if you looked at the earth from the north pole and could see the longitudes from the centre outward to the equator.?
An easy way is using a Gradient Layer and Posterization...
Thanks, will try immediately
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @ripe quest (current: #3 - 1666)
Huion HS610, is what I'm using. I actually found a solution on Reddit, unsure if it'll work long term. But what I did was install a driver for a different Huion tablet (which sounds weird) but it actually worked. I had to enable Windows Ink, but with the new driver it appears there isn't any lag issues as of now. I'll continue to use Windows Ink for now, hopefully it doesn't cause any issues in the future. :))
Maybe setting up a custom grid in Preferences and using that with Snap To to draw selection or shapes. Edit > Preferences > Grid, Guides... 16 subdivisions. Something like that. Just spit-balling here.
hmm, okay, so there isnt an easy procedureal way, I'll have to take a deeper look, if not do it manually ugh
how do you get a image to look pixalized like this? is it posterized?
A procedural way to do what? You didn't really describe what you're trying to do other than "split a circle into 16 pieces" - 16 pieces of what? You'll have to make selections. Unless you want to "eyeball" it, you'll need to set up a symmetrical grid that you can use to make the selections. And then.... what? Move each section to a different layer? Feel free to explain what the goal is. :)
It looks like extremely heavy JPEG compression. File > Export > Save for Web.... Choose JPEG format. Set quality to 1. That might do it. heh
hi how do i do this effect here in the character and the gun
What "effect" are you referrring to?
the outline + the "shine" thingy in the character
I guess the really simplistic way to describe it would be select a 'circle' area, fill, shrink selection 6.25%. fill with contrasting colour, shrink 6..25%, fill with another contrasting colour, ad nauseum until you're at the centre? does that help at all? I just don't want to do that 16 or 32 times...
no microphone
oh ok
i thougt you were talking to me sorry
There is no function to "split my shape into 16 pieces" and then assign gradients to them. Sorry. Probably creating a custom grid, slicing it yourself and then assigning a radial gradient Layer Style to one of the Layers. Then copy it to all of the other layers.
the outline + the "shine" thingy in the character
okay thanks, I was trying to use 'slice' but its all 'straight horizontal or verticals'
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @ripe quest (current: #3 - 1667)
You're going to need to isolate the character and move it to its own layer. Then you can assign a Stroke Layer Style to it to give it a white border.
could we go on a call and you help me
Slice is used for a different purpose.
No. Sorry. I'm busy doing something at the moment.
ok so what about the shine effect
yea, but my mind thought, maybe it could do it? lol, I mean gradient doesnt go in a straight line, its got different patterns so... meh, is all good.
Sorry for ping but when I'm trying to this with black and white I get big black and white spots where the fade ends. Do you know how to fix it?
And the when I split it to less lines it looks like this
Hey, I know this may come off as a bit dumb but does anyone know how i can replicate the effect done to the bradley?
Does anyone know how to get rid of this?
Does this server do Photoshop for strictly images or videos too I'm trying to make some unnerving videos with monsters in the background I have no idea how to other than some basic editing with Cap cut. Really pathetic
am i allowed to ask questions here about indesign or would there be a better adobe server for that?
I dunno, if Im in doubt I create a subthread... but thats me
Hi
Does anyone know how to export each “main” folder into jpg file?
I've made a folder for each year (1971, 1972, … 2024) and I would like to export them automatically
Want to have an effect where a spotlight is shining on an image everything else is shadowed out how do i approach that
If you use an Adjustment Layer and a Layer Mask, you can keep the effect editable...
Thanks so much
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @ripe quest (current: #3 - 1668)
Wasn't expecting the video to add on to that thanks for the help
There is File > Export > Layers to Files... but for Exporting Groups, I think you'd need scripting. Not trivial.
We mostly use Photoshop here. You can ask InDesign questions. If one of us knows, we'll try to answer. No promises. :)
Photoshop isn't a video editing tool. You can do some editing but its best done with Adobe After Effects and Premiere.
Get rid of what exactly?
I believe you can right-click on the Group and go to "Export As" but that will only export that particular Group.
Yeah, and I would have waste time to make a script so I simply exported them all manually
It was fun to repeat the same action like 80 times
Oh alright thanks

Can anyone help me make this to fit my iPad Pro 11 inch
So I have a text thats half way on an image and half way on, I want the half that's on top of the image to be inverted while the other half stays the same , how do I approach this?
You'd either have to crop it to fit the iPad's aspect ratio or expand both side to fill them with matching content.
Could you do it for me im not good at photo shop
Your iPad Photos app allows you to do some editing. Crop it in there
I tried it wont get correct size can you help
How to make it so a layer doesn't get effected by another layer while being under it
But that layer on top can still affect all other layers
Thanks

Hi, I m having an issue and cannot figure out how to solve it, also I am in the middle of a project and cannot expend too much time looking up, so maybe someone in the community can give me advice.
Ask your question and people might answer, this is the right channel!
Hey, I was wondering how do you make the text effects to look like that?
Generally, people use the layer styles, so in that case it could be bevel and emboss, a colour overlay, maybe satin... The different settings depend on the size of the type.
You may also use other stuff, like fileters (noise, motion blur etc)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikPIAHQ174o
In today’s Adobe Photoshop tutorial I’m going to show you how to create a lovely gold text effect. What really makes this gold effect look so realistic compared to some other basic gol...
I have upgraded ps, not to the last version, still working with the 2023 but the thing is that since downloaded the last time to 24.7.2. I work on some image, it will be photos JPG files, save it and if I have to open again to correct it the image has a color cast that was not there before. This is making my life difficult as I had to redo all the work in various occasions
again the different settings depend on the size and the exact effect
Can you explain the kind of colour cast you have , maybe with side by side screenshots (prefereably with the whole interface showing, including layer panels) so if there is a difference in settings that might explain it
nothing to do with any effects, I hough so too, but these are simple images. The size I dont understand how that can affect to the color and light
I think the size is irrelevant, but there may be colour modes (or colour profiles) that are differnt between the two
or other things. Like a soft proofing enabled on one file and not the other
I will see that and ask again. I am being called for a meeting so I will contact again the chat.
Thank you for the quick answer Sandrine
I may not be around later today, but feel free to ask again, as someone else might know the answer.
Ok Thank you again

Hey hey, I know it may be a bit hard to just guess the filters from a picture but how can i replicate the bradley?
So I would say keep your files anyway, imagine this is a simple option to tick to get back to the proper colours 🙂
What is a bradley ? 🙂
Oh, Bradley IFV, Infantry fighting vehicle
Really big nerd on military vehicles
so its the vehicle on the bottom
Which I am most definitely not 🙂
What I see here is someone that is very good at drawing, not a filter or anything else
Oh?
Unfortunately Photoshop can't help with that one!
Fair, Talent cant be replicated!
Thanks sandrine
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @vapid flume (current: #8 - 513)
I appreciate ya
Talent is software independent, Photoshop MAY speed things up 🙂
I will say something VERY VERY trite, but here goes: Sometimes you will get the best answer from the horses' mouth, ie the artist. You probably know who this person is, and you could ask directly. I have been successful with that approach, provided that you approach them humbly (being a jerk never pays)
They may have some advice on how to achieve a particular effect beyond the skills. They may also never answer and that's OK.
Thats true! I'll see if i can DM him real quickly
Thanks once again sandrine, stay safe!
But I agree that the skill is very good!
I'm a sucker for details in drawings (I have been fed on Moebius as a teenager, it stays with me)
Exactly!
anyhow, I'll try to dm him
guys i need help with something, its 5 minutes, can someone hop on call with me ?
Hello, new to Adobe Photoshop, wondering how to remove these white squares?
Try CTRL+'
guys I select foreground of lava cave, then I want to delete and fill selection but I cant, how can I fix it
Can you post a screenshot of your whole interface? (with layers panels showing etc)?
So if anything shows as weird people can easily see why
I have a picture that is perfectly black and white, is there any easy way to select all the black pixels at once?
or will i have to manually select all of it?
select by color range
Can't you send a screenshot? it's a MKV and Discord doesn't read them
That's a proper screenshot
It's because you are trying to fill a smart object
you need to either rasterise it, or fill in a blank layer
the little icon tells me it's a smart layer, I don't need a video 🙂
(thanks @sly hawk for that one! 😂)
thank you
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @vapid flume (current: #8 - 514)
I will try to do it somehow I started photoshop today 😄
I would suggest starting with the in app tutorials so you got the hang of the software. It's not MS paint, there is a bit of a learning curve!
@still tinsel . there are many ways to do it. You can go to select> colour range nd choose black (or white) in the drop down menu, or use the magic wand (which select pixels based on colour)
There are many other ways but these are the most straighforward
black are "shadows" and whites are "highlights"
Or you can use the eyedropper and click on the image if you prefer
Thank you
Hey guys I have this photo right here:
How can I turn it into that:
basically want the same thing
Im completely new to adobe photoshop, can I can confidently say that I can achieve the first step which is to seperate the background from the subject and make the background black (?)
well, then? any help is appreciated
How can I incorporate cut templates to mock up of a shorts? Its a bit tricy because the design needs to wrap around the shorts
Mask background with selection, add new layer and fill it with black
Guys how to use remove tool for all frames
yeah but what about the edges
You can blur mask selection
You can't. Use After Effects.
You probably will need to desaturate clothes
can I do this later
If you masked your selection your selection, yes you can do changes to it later if needed
whats that
alright so what do I do now
Its an app for creating/editing video and doing effects work. See: https://www.adobe.com/products/aftereffects.html
Remove highlights from clothes
Filters
You can use curves or levels
Depends which one you find easier to work with
Do you have any basic knowledge in PS?
I would try to watch some basic tutorials
literally only want to use it for this project and im done with it
As i said try to play with filters to blend clothes with background
anyone need help
I do!
Should be quick and simple 😉
So, I'm designing custom picks for my band's merch.
I have these two layers.
And it looks like this
So, I use clipping mask to do this
BUT.
I want to get rid of those pink borders.
So I apply a Color Overlay blending mode to the bottom layer.
But now...
It messes up the top layer, for some reason.
I went the long way around and PAINTED the thing red and got rid of the border manually, but I'd like to understand why it didn't work, because I have a feeling it'll bite me in the future if I don't 🙂
Try a an Adjustment Layer... Hue/Saturation + Colorize...
Color Overlay isn't going to work in that instance.
But why?
Because its filling all of the pixels with that color.
But if something is on another layer on top of it, shouldn't it still show?
And while I got ya, is there an easy way for me to export this, and have the red layer change colors?
So like export once, and get 10 versions of it in other colors?
No. There isn't.
Crap. Hahah ok!
Thank you 🙂
Actually, I didn't realize they were separate layers. It should work in that instance. Maybe the Color Overlay layer had Blend Mode assigned like "Saturation, etc" or something that was interfering. Difficult for me to diagnose from only that screen shot.
Hmm. I'll try again now for changing the color, let's see.
Yup. Still doing it.
It helps if you share an entire screenshot and not these clipped pieces.
So where did that pink edge come from in the first place? Why not just make a vector shape with that color? Then its simple to recolor.
The website I use for ordering the picks, has templates.
Their template came with the pink border.
I think they did that as a "bleed" sort of deal. As in whatever is in the pink area doesn't get printed
But your vector idea is MUCH better. I can easily make that from this, right.
Actually... They have .ai templates
If I had to re-make this, I would just trace half of it when the Pen Tool. Duplicate, flip and then merge the two halfs together. But I would probably use Illustrator for that.
Oh. I just remembered why I didn't use their .ai templates.
Yeah I'm better off vectorizing myself I think
The .ai templates they provide are for something else
Image Trace should work here, right. Let's see
I would just draw/trace it as I said. Image Trace in Illustrator is fine but you might end up with something that isn't symmetrical.
Yeah, gotcha. Ok thank you 🙂
Maybe it doesn't matter much for the printer's purposes. You just have to fit your design into that shape (along with a safe area of a few mm margin).
Yeah, their website has a good tool, you can mess with it after it's uploaded
One more question!
The method you showed for changing colors, doesn't let me pick specific HEX colors, right.
I'm sure there's a way to do that?
Upon further reflection, I would just make the vector shape and assign it a specific color. That's much easier.
Oh, right!
Yeah I have them as vectors now.
Copy from Illustrator, paste and pick "Shape Layer". Awesome, thank you!
This happens without adding any new edits, just open the image at the left and immediately close it, I get the image on the right, completely different color. It is being a problem that has started happening just after I upgraded to 24.7.2 version. Can someone tell what is happening, or what should I change?
im doing this airliner for a competition, but i need to know how to remove the shapes and photos that are hanging off the plane itself
Check the Color Mode. (Image > Mode..). If you're creating a new document, its possible that you're setting the doc to CMYK and inserting an RGB image into it. That might account for the color shift.
There you can see the color difference, I didn´t apply any changes to the image on the right, it should be same as the one at the feft, but itis not....
Do you have the jet as a separate layer with a transparent background?
the jet is several layers and and shapes/colors/images are seprate
Please read what I said about the Color Mode, above.
You'd have to show me the Layers Panel. Its possible you could Group it and then clip your design to the jet group using a Clipping Mask
It seems it is a JPG image when I look at the color mode
Quick one: Is there a way for me to make two layers in different artboards "follow" each other so I don't need to change the color twice for each version?
The file format (JPEG) has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. You need to check the Color Mode of the document, i.e. RGB or CMYK. You can also see it in the document tab.
RGB, sorry, I did check
Check for View > Proof Colors... View > Gamut Warning...
If either of those are checked, it might shift the colors.
Based on that screenshot, its impossible for me to tell what is going on.
None are checked
Sorry. Without knowing what you've done, how you've imported, the document setup, etc, its impossible for me to understand what is going on.
I understand.... I am trying to figure out, as never happened before and it is making my life difficult now
Can you separate the jet from the design into different Groups? Then you could probably use a Clipping Mask to clip the design to the outline of the jet. Again. I can't see everything that is going on from just this screen shot.
I opened bridge and double clicked the image, it opened in PS looking different as the original that I previously saved after finishing the edits
I'll try it.
Could be a Color Profile issue. I really have no idea.
ok thank you.
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @ripe quest (current: #3 - 1671)
Where can I check it? Preferences???? I don´t see it
Edit > Color Settings.... Edit > Assign Profile...
Found the issue, Adobe RGB 1998 is doing that if I change it to sRGB it goes back to original,
Thank you for the support
Sorry, i'll try it now.
You might just be able to use Clipping Masks to clip the designs to the pieces of the jet. (Possibly) More about Clipping Masks: https://discord.com/channels/547473772727238676/1081318392750940290
OK. You're welcome.
