@sonic cove Very cool, it's interesting to see the different levels of this stylized effect applied to the birds. I wonder if putting the text on a single line closer to the bottom so it doesn't overlap the white part of the background might give it a clearer read and feel a bit less crowded? Just a thought of course, nice work!

@kindred gate I like the simple, clean shapes and color scheme of this design! Very nice masking on the bird. I think the reversed gradient works better, it balances out the contrast a bit. Nice job!
@warped cradle Really cool colors in this! Kind of a cotton candy type of feel, hah. The blue of the bird's wing being used for the text color ties it all together very nicely. Well done!

I really, really like how you did the yellow on the statue! I think I prefer the version on bottom, because the darker sky gives more contrast with the statue. As for the type, IMHO, it is difficult to read. Maybe if there were less going on with the type it would be more legible.

Welcome banner for March 29 challenge.
The Coniferous font was chosen from the Brush Pen Adobe Fonts because the mood struck me. A seagull from the sky was selected and copied into many layers and arranged to overlay the P, H, T letters in the header word "Photoshop". Font color was selected to match the seagull wings. Additional seagulls were copied into their own layers, converted to smart objects and transformed in size and rotation to various sky locations. The morning beach scene was selected from my own photographs taken at Orange Beach, Alabama on September 11, 2020. A hurricane was approaching the Gulf coast far out at sea and we had to leave that same morning. The image was taken using a Nikon Z50 mirrorless DSLR with a wide angle NIKKOR Z DX 16-50 zoom lens with 1/400 sec exposure at f/7.1 focal length 29mm at ISO 100. Various Photoshop enhancements for vibrance, curves, and shadow, midtone, and highlight color balance adjustments were applied. The original image dimension was 5568 x 3712 at 9.8 megs. It was cropped in height to a banner proportion 5568 x 2069 and arranged to have the Gulf horizon across the middle.
Well played. I love how that one facing out to the viewer, especially

@honest gulch I happen to like the pink flowers version better. Im not sure why. Perhaps the pink flowers add a little more contrast to the image.
Yes I am agree too, I love the pink color it gives to the art another amazing beauty honestly
@young junco Nice job. You obviously put a lot into this image. I cant wait to see what you do on the future challenges in this series. I would make one critique. Too many birds maybe. After a few, they become distracting from your other elements in the image, and I dont see them adding that much.

Day 2 - Merge Images...
Create something new by merging two images with selections and masks...
Oops! I'm Sorry... I used 3 pictures. 😉
@hollow yarrow The helmet on the turtle is so cool, but the pencils for the bullets takes the cake. I cant stop laughing. Love It. You selected each pencil individually? The masking under the helmet strap is terrific.
flamingos
@hollow yarrow Hah, very clever idea, and very well executed. The blend between the two images is really seamless and the shadow behind the flower adds some nice depth. Very nice!
@queen aspen Looking good, I like the colorful background gradient! I also like how you blended the bottom flower and flamingo together, I feel like the top one looks more like the flamingo lying on top of the flower, but it just depends what you're going for. I think the tips of the wings on the top flamingo could also be cleaned up where we see a bit of the background, but that's a minor nitpick. Nice job!
@gritty escarp Hah, super cool idea! I love how it looks like he's interacting with her arm by moving his head out of the way too, really makes it convincing looking. This is definitely a nitpick, but I feel like her torso seems a touch short, as if she could be moved upward slightly. Just a thought, the execution is very well done, nice work!
@dusky swallow Super cool! I love the repetition of the bird's color in the background. The blur definitely helps add a nice sense of depth to separate the background from the bird.
@prisma stone Very cool, I really love the strong contrast between the background and lightning bolt, the color scheme and gradients are working really well together too. I like how you incorporated the colors into the background of the lightning bolt and the magic particle effect adds some really nice flair. Well done!
Thanks, @bleak fossil. Honestly, I think I was a little bit lazy to create something better but I'm going to try it again later

challenge#1 3-30-2021 Supercharge Ps
@haughty gale - haha, it always seems like the end product isn’t quite what I had in mind when I first started out. The starter files definitely help to keep us “on task” and practicing the technique rather than getting completely off topic. Your flamingos look great - your masking is really good and I like your color combinations.
Simply well done Susan! Soft neat 👍
Thanks!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @eternal mica
Gradient+Flowers+Skull... No doubt it's a Paul Tani's Challenge. Well done!
Nice take on this challenge with the birds “nesting” in the flowers! It looks like you have a little bit of halo-ing at the top of your image. I would typically use a small, hard edge brush and paint with black on the layer mask to hide those, or, if the halo-ing is around most of the image, you can select Modify-contract and select maybe 2-3 pixels which would make the selection “thinner.” There are more advanced techniques for halos, but those are the simpler ones
Nice added touch with the canvas pattern overlay! It’s subtle but I like how it gives the feel of a painting. I also like how you changed the color of the bottom flamingo. Your masking looks spot-on! Well done
Love your colorful "Paroflowerini". Huge work merging all the flowers on your design. I like how you kept the parot shape and dispersion effect adds a nice touch. Nicely done!
Oooh, and you added blood as the liquid in the vase! Very nice!!
Very nice! I like the gradient you went with, it really gives the overall image a nice calming feel. My only suggestion would be to use a larger, soft-edged brush and make the transition from flower to flamingo a little more gradual so they blend together a little more. (That’s kind of nit-picking, though). I like how you added-in the kingfisher at the sitting on the edge of the vase. The “rule of odds” says three things is more pleasing to the eye than two or four.
@hollow yarrow that poor turtle will NEVER be able to reach those colored pencils! 😂

When I import the Lr file into Ps, it comes in at a humongous size and as a tif. Is there a way I can control that on either the Lr or Ps side of the transfer?
Challenge #3 4-1-2021 Photo Filters
Try to Save as instead if I'm not wrong shall that work
I think the reason to tiff it is standar format from a RAW image
@wary swan Thanks Robert. Is there any difference between saving the file in Lr and opening it up in Ps as opposed to using the Edit in Ps option?
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @wary swan
@eternal mica yes LR have a special format that's work as database nearly, it's only save the changes you do if I'm not wrong.
On other LR is always saw, in non destruction edit as long you not have export the images.
her is a great article to read: https://digital-photography-school.com/how-to-save-images-using-export-in-lightroom/
Reader feedback tells me that some people are confused by Lightroom’s Export process. I think the confusion is caused by not completely understanding how Lightroom works, especially when processing Raw files. So let’s start by recapping the process that a single Raw file goes through when you import it into Lightroom. 1. Lightroom adds the […]

Day 3 I had problems with color transfer neutral filters, so aged B/W lady....
I really love what you did, CarAng! It almost looks as if there's a natural shadow on her face.
Day 3 of the challenge. I was having major resource issues with the neural filters: a 3-5 minute lag between clicking on a filter and seeing it applied, Photoshop eating 8-11 gigabytes of memory, etc. Did anyone else have that problem? Thanks for the great class, in any event!

Challenge Three
My work for Day 3 - I used a picture of myself and combined 4 different neural filters to create this effect! Some feedback would be appreciated! 😄
The original image!
@elfin thorn Very cool pearlescent looking colors! I really like how the most texture/detail is seen around the highlights on the face. My only suggestion is that the hair could be cleaned up a bit where there's some rough edges on the left side. The Refine Edge Brush tool is often helpful when selecting soft/complex edges like that. Nice work!
@timid grail I really like the background gradient you got in this design! I love the soft colors, and they harmonize very well. The blend between the flowers and flamingos are looking really good, though on the bottom one there seems to be a hard edge between the two, softening that up a bit might help. Nice job!
@arctic rover Most definitely, this is looking good! I really like the emphasized texture you have going, especially in the face and helmet. The tooth shine is a nice touch, hah. Looks good!
@sweet fern Really cool to see how these bold colors change the image! I really like the look the filter got on the dog's fur. One suggestion might be to brighten up the background just a touch to give the dog and text and bit of a stronger read and contrast? Nicely done!
@strange rain Really cool effects! Both with the faded/repeated portrait, and the almost colored pencil type look of the design, particularly towards the face on the right side. I like how there's still a focus on the center portrait even with the repeated elements. Very cool!
@cerulean creek I like the split effect down the face! The filter gives it a cool sort of painted effect. My only suggestion would be that you could clean up the mask around the hair on the back/left side. I often have good luck with the Refine Edge Brush tool and the "Refine hair" button can help a lot too when masking. Cool textures!
@kindred gate Cool effects, I like the sense of depth you got with the 3D looking plane in the background! It adds an interesting sense of perspective. I think you could probably even go a bit deeper in shadow around the bottom side of the sphere to give it a bit more realistic depth. Nice job!
@lost cipher I really like the more subdued colors and contrast in this design! It gives a sort of calming feel to it and the cool blue tones are looking good. I like the background texture as well!
@eternal mica Very nice, the bold orange/blur color contrast makes a big impact. Also a lot of contrast in the values which strengthens the contrast even more. The aging effect is looking solid too, and I like the transition between the grey and colored hair. Nice job with the masking as well 👍
@tropic garnet Very cool, I really like the layering of textures and colors in your Challenge 3 design! It almost kind of veers into abstract territory with the heavy sky textures. And the rainbow gradient creates some nice color and contrast!
@lapis roost Great textures in this Day 3 design! I especially love the pattern and colors the adjustments brought out in the sleeves. The whole design has a really nice contrast in both colors and textures between the portrait and the background. Very cool!

@young karma Awesome take on the combining images challenge! I think to “finish it” you may want to add-in the rest of the leaf that was hidden by the flower but now is visible with the banana. Maybe the easiest way would be to transform the banana peel so it covers that area?
Love the idea and well done!

@tropic knoll really well done. I love the transparency of the larger fish, and the cutaway. One suggestion, to really nail it, shouldnt one side of the cut away on each not show the pink? (I dont know if Im explaining that correctly. I hope you get what Im suggesting.)
Well done Susan! Maybe you might turn pinkish colors of flowers more yellowish to match with chick... But I nitpick. Great job!👍

I really like your color combo with the different shades of blue against the bright green. The bird really stands-out from the background!
Really nice addition of the flowers. And I think you gave them just enough blur to separate them from the main subject but still be instantly recognizable.
Here's what I came up with for the Day 4 challenge. (I decided to put her in the water.) Thanks, Paul, for the lesson!

Day 3
Hi! I missed a couple of days, but decided to start off with today and I will work backwards to get caught up. So here's my submission for Day 4 - Light and Shadows. What do you think?
@honest gulch Really cool textures in this! I like how the texture is varied between the portrait and background with the more detailed parts being in the face. Cool colors too!
@vague shuttle Oooh, clever idea, hah, this came out well! I love the stark contrast of the bright pink flamingos against the black background. The reflection of the flamingo in the skull is a great touch too!
@strange rain Really interesting composite with the statue face! The compositing into the hood and shadow it creates looks great. This is a nitpick, but while I like the soft contrast of the figure, it might be nice to make the darks of the figure deeper than the dark of the gradient in the bottom of the background to make sure the background doesn't overpower the figure. This could easily be done with a levels or curves adjustment if you'd like. Great design!
@swift marten Super cool effect! I love how the colors give the statue a sort of transparent look but still contrast nicely to stand out from the background. The way you separated the skin from the clothing is a great touch. Awesome design!
@tall spade This came out really well! I like the monochromatic look of the color scheme and the statue has really great contrast against the background in terms of both value and texture. It really gives the whole design some really nice pop. The lighting is looking really good and the shining lights add some nice interest. Nice work!

I think I was able to blend the coloring and image fairly well, but I was having trouble with the perspective as the bunny is looking towards the viewer and the flower is looking away - is anyone able to assist in explaining how to get them to both face the same direction? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 😀
😂 @arctic rover nicely lit!
Day 4 - Challenge
before. riding helmet on and I decided to try to get rid of that after the fact so moved image and created this double
It’s really lovely. You might consider rotating the bunny’s head so the stem appears as a neck.

Challenge Spectral
Day 4: brushes/layers/blend modes
I wonder if you just rotated the bunny’s face so that it aligns with the stem of the flower might do the trick? CMD-T on the layer and rotate the image by the curved-double-arrow on one of the corners. (Is that what you mean or were you thinking of something different?)
Sir can I join the challenge now
Thanks, Hugh. I was trying to figure out how to get the perspective right between the position of the flower and the bunny's face. I wanted to pull the bunny's face more towards the back of the image in order to 'tilt' it a bit. Rotating it helps a bit but the bunny should look more towards the man of the lower left of the image vs looking forward towards the viewer. Maybe I will look into distort or warp or something like that to see if i can get the perspective correct. 🙂
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @compact pecan
Oh, I see what you mean. Did you try flipping it horizontally? That might get you most of the way there and then a little warping to fix the details.
Hi again! I finally got through all the PS DCC challenges for this week! Here's my Day 1 Supercharge Photoshop challenge submission. I can't wait to see the challenges for next week! 🙂
First time here. And 1st day challenge. 👍
Gracias!
finally had the time for challenge day 2
Gracias!
Day 4
Like the depth and the gold @young karma
and DCC_Day03.. not that much of filters, wanted to keep it decent 🙂
Hey everyone. I am new to the challenge. I know that I am coming in late cause I am also doing to illustrator challenge too. I will catch up.
That's me
Photo Filter and Photo Merge challenge
The image of the model was processed with software filters to bring a more natural color to her face and hair and enhance the glow of the morning light on her face.
Background was taken on December 12, 2020 from The Pier at Naples in mid-morning looking back at the beach. It was selected since the lighting was closest I could find in my own pics to the portrait image. The background was blurred using Smart Blur to simulate the difference in focal plane with the camera focused closer. The light is from the right in both images. The subject was blurred softly to soften the edges.
Yeah, I used applied a little Distort and Warp and I think I have the perspective a bit better than the original. What do you think?
Well done! I particularly love how the dress turned out. Great job!
It looks like the stem is sticking out of the side of the bunny’s head. Think of a line down the center of the face and continue the line through the stem.
I think it turned out pretty good! I like your concept for the composition and I think you blended-in the bunny pretty well! I think you’d probably be better off trying to find a stock image with a rabbit from the same angle if you wanted to align it any better than you did!
@keen slate Thanks, I moved the bunny up a bit more to make the center of his noise follow the line of the stem so hopefully it looks less like it is coming out the center of his head. I appreciate the feedback!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @keen slate
Thanks, @compact pecan ! I think the last image I uploaded is probably as close as I am going to get it without finding a new image. I am satisfied for now and may revisit it at a later time. I appreciate all the help and feeback!
Really interresting design. Love stong shadows of your statue. Red eyes add a nice touch and text behind with disolve blending mode adds depth. Great job!
@eternal mica This Day 4 design definitely has some strong contrast and lighting which really pushes that dramatic feel, especially with the deep shadows you created. I like the warm/cool contrast between the statue and background to really help it pop. The glowy eyes and background are a nice touch, adds some life to it and gives it a sort of Greek god type of vibe. Nice work with this one!
Playing catch-up on challenges this week.
@tall spade Loving the look and feel of this Happy Easter image! The bold contrast of the white flower and the way the black shirt fades into the background looks really cool. The way you clipped the rabbit onto the flower works really well, and actually took me a second to notice which was a cool effect. Nicely done!
@wheat salmon Great effect! I like the almost pearlescent quality to it and split look makes for some really nice contrast. The background is a really nice touch with the slightly rays radiating from the center. The whole thing has a really nice read and contrast to it. 👍
Thanks! I forget how much fun it is just to play and see what happens.

@bleak fossil Thank you Sam. Your interpretation is spot on what I was trying to create. A brooding but ethereal Moses, whose glowering eyes dominate his personage. I sampled so many different effects along the way, I don't even know how I created it.

Photoshop Daily Creative Challenge#04
Jumping into DCC on Day4.
PS novice - enjoyed playing about to get inspired to do more!
Here's my Challenge 3 - neural filters crash my mac so used one neural filter and then just added one other effect
Here's my Challenge 4
Thanks @bleak fossil for the feedback and nice compliments. You weren't the first to say that they didn't see the bunny right away. I guess the blending and my color adjustments were natural enough to not draw the eye immediately to the bunny which is what I was hoping for. 😀

Trying to keep up, here's my Merge Images Challange!
Like that, I do.
Thanks for asking! No, it still completely bogs down my system. Did you change anything to get it working?
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @tropic garnet
I reinstalled Creative Cloud. That helped. It still ran a little slow, but was way better
I really love this! I like how you've separated the image into two color planes, and the radiant lines emerging from the behind the statue are a nice touch.
Beautiful work. I like how you created the impression of something brilliant shining just beyond the right side of the frame, which really piques the viewer's curiosity and makes them wonder what the woman is looking at. (I feel your pain about the neural filters. They completely overburdened my system.)
Thank you! Those neural filters sure are fun the experiment with!

Challenge #5: Photo to Illustration. I used one RGB channel copied it to color layer and with image masked, one solid color, BM:s and so on . I really want to learn to create cool shadowed and highlighted illustration. This is my first step. I mean how to smooth or modify color lines would be great. Now it is an experiment so to say.
Hi, Susan! Did you like my discorded version of this challenge? In yours I like color harmony.
Hi @copper moss, it looks great. The colours work really well together. Thanks for your kind comment

@thorn geyser : Great idea to go different way with fish instead of portrait. I like glowing effect on your strokes and B&W background adds a nice touch. Very neat!
@loud mist : Awesome! Love the simplicity of gradient version (but blurred background version looks great too)... Stroke lines serve your drawing well. Nicely done!
Day 05 IDK this is my sketch, kinda creepy?
#psdailychallenge
That's really rad! I like the color scheme.
Challenge Five
This was a struggle. Not sure I'm liking the whole outline thing, but always fun to try and push yourself.
Day 4 ✨
Photo illustration. Even though it's simple I really like this look.
Nice. Today’s challenge was a lot of fun
Here my past challenges of march 2021 with VooDoo Val https://www.behance.net/gallery/115135107/PSDCC-MARS-2021-FRESHNESS
@tropic garnet Really cool style to this Day 5 challenge! I like how the illustrated character matches the look and feel of the graffiti in the background. My only minor nitpick might be that the perspective effect on the text on the ground could probably be pushed even further. Nice composition too!
@eternal mica Very nice, the illustrated lines combined with the more realistic quality of the photo make for an interesting look. Did you use a tablet for this? I always find any mouse work like that extremely tricky, hah. Nice job 👍
@tardy talon Really cool combination of effects here! I like the way you layered the flowers and text. My only suggestion might be that it could be nice to give a bit more focal strength to the statue since currently the flowers have so much contrast both in terms of color and value. Perhaps making the background a different hue from the statue (they're both fairly green/blue) or even separating the value more by making the background a touch lighter could help balance everything a little more? Either way, nice work!
@ripe quest Hah, cool effect. I'm not sure if maybe it looks a bit creepy due to the unnatural colors of the face compared to the more natural colors of the shirt and background? Would be interesting to see how it looks with all the line work given a rainbow gradient. It might also be nice to see a bit more contrast with the eyes, since the green and grey in that area are such a similar value. Very nice!
Thanks. I love everything about it but the text. Lol. I don’t hate it, but I’m 100% onboard with what you said.

@arctic rover This is a neat effect! The colors along with the realistic look of the photo almost give it a sort of neon-light look. I think the more line work you add the more it gets an illustrated look to it. Definitely a wide variety of looks and styles you can get with this depending on what you're shooting for. Nice work!
@vague shuttle Really cool to see you get these bold colors from a simple gray starting image! I really love the hue variation you got between the purples and blues in the gargoyle, it gives it some nice believable dimension. The night sky background is looking really nice too!
@bleak fossil Thank you Sam. I don't have a tablet. I use Dell desktop/mouse. I kept the strokes short, used 20 pxl on the brush, and lots of CTRL Z, 😂😂😂😂
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
@subtle breach Great metallic look to this! The high contrast really gives it a sort of metallic shiny look, especially in the robe. It also gives the image a nice strong read. The background gradient and stars are looking very nice as well!
@severe ice Really cool looks and textures to both of these photo filtered images! I especially like the left one and the look it gives the hair. The color scheme has a really nice harmony to it as well. Nice job!
@fallow quest This is looking good! I like the wispyness of the dark background image around the hair. I wonder if adding a bit of that softness to other areas here and there (such as the surface she's leaning on with the hard edge) could add to that ghostly feel. Nice job with the linework!
@loud mist Nice job, both designs have a great look to them. I really love the balance between photo and illustrated elements in the second design, the simple gradient background really focuses the attention on the flowers. Looks good!
@cursive estuary Really cool combination of effects and styles here! The background filter definitely gives the image a lot of motion. I really like the contrast in texture that the simple lines add to an otherwise extremely detailed image, it adds some nice visual balance to the design. 👍
@thorn geyser Really nice job on the line work with the Day 5 challenge! The detailed lines in the fin attract a lot of attention and the pink lines contrast nicely with the blue of the fish. Very cool!
@brazen token Really great watercolor effect in your Day 5 challenge! The watercolor marks and the photo have a really nice balance between them and the texture of the paper ties it together nicely. I like how some of the marks even sort of look like a line drawing showing through. Nicely done!
@queen aspen Very nice, I really like the painterly look you got here, and the simplified shapes of the hair work extremely well to push that effect. The sort of canvas texture and mock up are really nice touches as well. Looks good!
@young karma Nice work with both the Day 4 and 5 designs! The line work on the Day 5 image is looking really good, and I like the way you separated the colored sections of the statue on the Day 4 design. The background gradient and stars turned out nicely as well. 👍
Day 5: Photo to Illustration. Going against the grain, I chose one of my photos instead of a portrait or a stock image.
@compact pecan Oh wow, you definitely nailed the hand painted look on this one. Covering the entire image with brushstrokes really helps sell the effect, and the canvas texture is definitely a nice touch to tie it together. The blocked out areas of deep shadow give it some really nice depth and sense of structure. Very nice!
Thank you, @bleak fossil! This was more fun than I expected. haha. The iPad makes it fun to color or draw. I can't imagine doing a whole lot of this with a mouse.
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
@compact pecan Hah, I bet, I can't handle using a mouse for very long that way. A tablet pen definitely makes it a lot of fun, and a lot faster too.

love the colors
thank you @stiff sand

I really love that! I like how you play with perspective and depth. The juxtaposition of the Leaning Tower and the monoliths of Monument Valley is way cool.
Nice work. It reminds me a little of Michael Whelan's cover or The Summer Queen. I love it.
I took this picture on the way into work today.

@bleak fossil Ps DCC 2021-04 06 Shapes and Text
Here is my work for challenge #6... I had no idea what to do but... somehow the ideas come and the result is this:
And in the frame - this challenge (April challenge) are in the frames - all of them
Challenge #6: Shapes and Texts. I used one image given in the challenge as BG and pulled out into shapes I made quickly by Pen Tool the same image. For the text I used a poem made by the Haiku generator.
@keen slate Ah, so you live near an interdimensional wormhole too? Hah, cool effect! There's a nice sense of depth with how you masked the effect around the bridge. I like the texture you added onto the tentacle in the bridge, nice job!
@fluid kettle These are great, I love the colors in both of these, really nice harmony in both designs. Impressive work with all the compositing and masking in the second image, the textures are looking really solid too. Looking good!
Day 6
Attack of the Spheres
@lucid plover Very nice colors and style on the Day 6 challenge! It kind of reminds me of the Adobe Live intros with the colorful geometric shapes, hah. The shapes create a nice contrast to focus the attention portrait. I like the shadow you added under the flowers to add some depth, though it might help to add it below the upper part of the flowers near the ear too. Very nice work!
@dusky wave Very cool, I like the reflection you added! It makes for a nice effect and keeps the focus on the top design. The colors of your design work nicely with the colors of the background as well, nice job!
Thank You @bleak fossil
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
@trail field I really like the colors and gradients in this design, the way they overlap each other makes for an interesting effect. My only suggestion would be that so many elements create a fairly visually busy piece, it might be nice to choose one element to stand out more than the others and act as a focal point. Perhaps the text could be a bit bigger, and maybe just 1 line of text instead of 3. Perhaps white would stand out better if you lower the opacity of the white graphic shape in the background a bit? Just some ideas of course. Nice work!
@karmic fog Very cool composite with the challenge 2 design! The surreal look with ocean sky is a really neat addition. The shadows you added really help sell the effect and add some nice depth. If I had any nitpick it might be to add a bit more shadow to the left/behind the boat in the front. We see that from the hills that the light is coming from the right/front so the shadows go back and to the left a bit. Seeing a little of that behind the boat might look nice. Really nice job with this design!
@chilly solstice The simplified shapes work really nicely in this design! I like how you repeated the bold red from the text into the lips, it ties the simple white/red color scheme together nicely. My only suggestion might be to either remove the smokey/wispy part of the hair on the left side, or if that's an effect you want then maybe repeat it a bit here and there on different areas of the hair to look more intentional and give it a more unified look. Looks good!
DCC Day 6 Revised @bleak fossil
Day 6
Day 4 Light and shadow
Day 6: shapes and text.
Challenge #3
Composite of landscapes
Day 4
Day 5 Photo to ilustration
Day 6 of the creative challenge. Title: End of Days
@timid pier I like the sort of pop art look with these different designs and filters. It definitely creates an interesting variety of colors and textures. I really like the sort of illustrated look to the bottom left one. The illustrated effect design with the lines came out nicely too. Nice work!
@young karma Ooh, very cool, the flat colored shapes along with the lines work really well to give this an illustrated look. I can picture this being an animated ad for burgers, hah. The background gradient does a nice job of contrasting the design to give it a nice focus. Nice job!
@elfin thorn Hah, very nice. A tablet definitely makes digital drawing easier, though you can get some nice control with the pen tool too. And of course having an image to trace or definitely helps a lot. Nice work 😄
@placid spoke Ooh, I love the glowing effects you added to the fish and bird. It really gives it a bold contrast against the background, and the glow you added to the planets near the fish looks great and really sells the effect. Super cool!
@lucid plover The added shadow is looking good!
@eternal mica Ooh, this came out really well! The yellow parts of the star design adds a really great contrast to make them stand out. The reflection looks good and I like how you faded it off a bit near the bottom. Very nice!
@ebon summit Very cool, I love the color palette and textures in this design. The more subdued colors in the top half add a lot of mood and really give the colors around the bottom a strong impact. Great ethereal feel to this image as well. Nicely done!
@queen aspen These colors are looking great! Super cool look and feel to this design, very nice color harmony. The reflection is looking really good too with the softened edges. Very nice design!
@split wharf Awesome, welcome in! Very nice job with the masking on the birds. I also like how you repeated the color scheme from the bird into the background gradient, it gives the image a nice unity. My only suggestion might be to boost the brightness on the masks with a levels adjustment to make it feel like it matches the lighting of the birds a bit more. Looks good!
@bleak fossil Thank you Sam. Your critique means a great deal to me. Im not sure, this may be the first "Ooh" Ive ever gotten from you!!!😊 😊 😊 I love it!!!!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
@fallow quest I like the composition in this Day 6 design! There's a nice balance between the horse and the background shape in terms of contrast. The reflection is looking good too, though I wonder if lowering the opacity ever so slightly might give it a more realistic look? Either way, very nice work!
@dusky swallow Really cool effect with all these bold colors! Kind of has a pop art feel to it. The blue of the face makes for a nice focal point with how it contrasts the other colors. Looks good!
Challenge #6: Shapes and texts. I used given image as BG and pulled the same image into shapes. used MB and blurring. Haiku generator did a poem for me. I guess I have discorded already this 2nd time. I was supposed to discord in Ai.
challenge05#photoillustration# it was hard for me ☹️
Hello everyone, this Challenge #5 Photo Illustration, it is not clean at all, I still have to work on it, but I'm so happy because the apple pencil is new for me and not, for now, in my comfort zone. Thanks to this kind of training, I get the feeling my practice is getting better and better
@swift marten Really nice work with the graphics! The pinks and purples contrast the dark background really nicely, the gradients are looking good. I especially like the flowery/spiral shape you created, very nice!
@stiff sand Nicely done, I really like the color contrast on this Day 4 design! The bird reads really clearly against the simple background gradient too. 👍
@loud mist This looks great! I love the color contrast between all the different landscape images. There's a nice variety of colors but they also work together very well. The X shape to show the sunset background makes for a really nice focal point. Well done!

Great Banner! Love the typo and FX on it and rainbow bands add a really nice touch. Be aware if you want to use this design for a Behance project there is masking issues (line on the right of the word "Daily" and transparent section below Adobe logo). Great job!
I’m in love with this! The reflective layer fades beautifully and sells the triangle as a light source. I’m likely to steal this trick (plus the colors are perfect)

Hii here is my second challenge (I chose different royalty free images)
@SamPeterson: Something like this? How do I get the horse to look more like stone? I have a texture layer in there but couldn’t get it to show well without ruining the color. Also the pattern in the texture was way too big, if that makes sense.
@bleak fossil I don’t know if that mention will work. So adding this. 🤨
Well done @young karma! I like how your shape is placed (balancing the design with the tree). Red Glow adds a nice touch. It was nice to use the different sides off picture for the reflections on your shape. I have just 2 nitpick suggestions that could improve your image: 1- You might play with perspectives of your reflections ( the horizon lines on the sides of the shape should not be horizontal) 2- Try to add a shape reflection on water. Just 2 ideas... Great job anyway!
Thank you Sam, I really your feedback

@agile dagger Really cool ideas for these designs! Really loving that rainbow design and the sense of motion it gives to the figures. Looks great!
@hollow yarrow Loving this design! The hole in the cloud looks great and makes for a really cool effect. Excellent use of shadow in the cloud and under the triangle shape, the depth is really convincing and well done. The blue triangle makes for a nice strong focal point and a nice contrast to the red hills. Super cool!
@brazen token Really great use of textures in your Day 6 challenge! I really like the sort of watercolor look of everything, and the dark value and sharp edges of the text in the center gives it a nice clear read. Nice work!
@young karma Awesome effect with this challenge 6 design! I love the way the triangle frames the image and the background spherical pattern adds a really cool effect. Very nice visual balance to this image!
@lapis roost Really nice job on the graphics for Day 6! The composition works really well and I love the focus the center shapes create with the stronger color contrast. The blurred background also creates a really great focus on the design. The thinner graphic shapes add a nice elegant touch to balance out the bigger shapes too. Very well done!
@stark grove Very cool colors! I really like the soft pastel colors along with the high key contrast, it makes for a really soft peaceful looking image. I like how the highest point of contrast is in the face to make it a nice focal point. Stars in the background came out really nicely too!
@lucid plover Very cool, I like the mix of abstract and images in this design! The background colors have a really cool tie dye sort of look to them. Looks good!
@placid spoke This is looking good, I really like the separation in the colors the triangle creates. The color scheme works well. I really like the mix between the hands and the abstract elements, nice job!
@timid pier The compositing looks good with the flamingo image, I like the masking you did of the flamingo's neck around the stem. Great, bold color contrast in the statue image too, these are looking solid!
@young karma Very nice job! I really like the effect you did with the reflection of the moon. The circles add a nice graphic touch and focus to the center. Well done!
Y'know @bleak fossil, it's too good learn more and more, but first all, I would appreciate all Adobe's Mentors who's teach so much all of us.
Thank You @bleak fossil

Day 07
bit late, sorry and in no particular order.
hello ,Challenge #3
One thing I love about the challenges and the discord server is late doesn’t exist. 🙂
We are two to be late so, suddenly I try to catch up as soon as possible 😂😂 ... Great work on the first challenge... I love The colors. 😍😍
This came out better than it would have because of this challenge 😊
Challenge 7
@dusky swallow The graphic shapes look great in the Day 6 challenge! They have a really nice contrast with the photo elements. The masking behind the tree makes for a nice little touch of depth. Excellent work with the reflection effect in the water too!
@thorn geyser Very cool effect! Excellent contrast in this image, and the metallic effect came out really nicely. This looks great 👍
@tropic garnet Very cool effect with the Day 6 challenge! The stylized look of the sun and the warped reflection in the water make for a really cool surreal feel in this design. The yellow color grading gives it a really interesting mood too. This could make a really nice print. Nicely done!
@bleak fossil Thanks!

@subtle breach The warped blue shape in the background and metallic look of the hands for the Option 1 design came out really well! Both have a really interesting effect. Option 2 has a really interesting look and feel to it, but I really like the clarity in Option 1. Nice work!
I’m amazed at how quickly I’ve progressed. I only started about three months ago. The Creative Cloud tutorials and Daily Challenges have helped me immensely.
@tropic garnet That's great to hear! All the experience and practice definitely adds up the more challenges you do. Keep up the great work!
@gentle turtle The metallic effect on the hands turned out really nicely, I also like the bold blue and red contrast. Very cool!
@loud mist I like that you posted the original to compare. The second design has some really cool colors to it, but I especially like the strong color contrast of the first design with the red giving the flower a lot of focus. It almost has a bioluminescent look to it. Nice work!
@swift marten Super cool effect, both in the bold colored ripples, but also the textures of the two hands. I especially like the effect of the one on the right.
Thank you Sam

For sure. I realized it was exactly three months today (I’m on the west coast). I spent 12-16 hours a day in January doing all the CC Photoshop tutorials. I did Illustrators in February and then discovered these the day Kladi did challenge nine for Illustrator last month. I haven’t really let up too much since January.
Day 7 I woke up and realised that a detail was missing in this image that needed to be added, sometimes it is good to leave things overnight before posting them.... 😇
Thanks for your feedback

DCC Day 6. I love how simple this is!
My work for Day 7 - Was just playing around with the adjustment layers and filters and I am digging this dark/dystopian vibe, would love some feedback! 😄
My first work in this Creative Challenge. I just started learning for about 1 month and luckily I found this community 😄 hope we'd get better together
Challenge #7: Metallic to Prismatic. I improved my 1st version. "Nokia Nostalgia". That was my first cell phone Nokia 5110 and I still keep in my storage.
Challenge number 5 got all tangled up in the filter gallery! more luck then skill but hey .... such is life 😄
Challenge 07
number 6 by the book, still trying to make sense of the whole layer thing
Photoshop Daily Creative Challenge#07
DCC 7. Welcome Home. There is a displacement map on the Liquify object in the background. Then I used two layers, black and white, for the dissolve. There is a flare behind the hands. I kept coming back to this font which is three different colors masked and revealed. Every other font and color seemed to lessen the impact of the hands. Thank you for this opportunity!
@tropic knoll I really like how your hands turned out with curve adjustment layer. Liquified background looks great too and I like how the hands feel like they're going through it. Great job!
@hollow yarrow Thank you! That's so cool of you to say! Appreciate it!

@young karma I really love the metallic look on your rock,it reminds me of molten aluminium!
@low harness I love this kind of look! it looks like a vintage album or something. My suggestions, maybe make that a little bit matte and a bit yellow, but overall it is really lovely

Great tips from the greatest @brittle slate, Design Master!!
DCC 8. SongBird. This little songbird was out singing this morning. When I tried to lighten the darks, the bird looked phoney. So cute he was singing to the rising sun. Happy day to you!
PS DCC #09 - Warp & Distort my challenge
here is my challenge is warp the objects done done
Am a bit behind the Challenges, but determined to practise them. This is Challenge 5, a mouse drawing of me
thanks Paul for a really good presentation today. I loved that selection tip for colour balancing.. I shall be making something pretty instead of doing my house chores tomorrow 🙂
DCC Day 9,Warp
Challenge #9: Wrapping and Distorting. Professionals decide the next generation machines.
We need to find a photo of the whale
@copper moss I love the idea of the plane is pulling the vehicle, the vibe reminds me of old sci-fi movie or something,I love the idea and also the execution.Maybe this is personal preference,I think you can make those vehicles tilted and make the tilts a bit random to add some "motions" to it,but overall it looks really good
in that starter file,it includes the whale and other assets also which is used in the live for DCC @eternal kelp that is a psd file package
Do you have a photo of the whale?
yes
thanks
Really cool perspective and nice use of colour @ripe quest
Day 2 Merging Images. 1st is from Paul's demo.
Day 2 Merging Images. 2nd is from what happens when I spend too much time in PS/Stock Images.
Ok. Blur them by tilting. Thank you for the advice. Do you mean downward tilt blur or a bit higher? Thank you, FERY!

DCC #9 This is what I have so far, New Mexico has flying whales too!
@eternal kelp cool!
last time, still working on new one 🙂
Higher @copper moss
Had fun with this. I know there are errors so need to re think. Thanks Mr Paul Trani for an amazing week of challenges which are inspiring and get me thinking about how to do things.
DCC # 4: Painting Light & Shadow
Challenge #9: Wrapping and Distorting. Professionals decide the next generation machines. Hi, Fery! I did some blurring and here is with colors hints version. Drone is towing old cars to dislocate them to the Mars.
Same concept in Black and White. I try to improve it further. I do not have Tild blurring in my version of Ps so did mechanically. I have a version in my storage with loose chains and without gravity - if they were moving very slowly. Would be nice to animate movement in Ps.
here is a second version of yesterday's challenge
Day#4 - intricate challenge with all these layers, but very useful to be a common with. Hope the result didn't disappoint
My work for Day 9 - Had this file with the dolphins lying around for a while now but was unsure what to do with it, and now finally got the chance to try out something, would love some feedback! 😄

11th Ave & 35th St.
I love this
Challenge#9
Day two.. got a bit lost trying to find free swans to blend into my nellie. Dali is the name on hold for the future pup I've been waiting for for way too long. Painted in shadow in the grass and tried to get the colour of the sky / meadow a little more in tune with the colours on the wings using the curve select from shadows, midtones and highlghts...
Challenge #9
Really awesome, @arctic rover! I especially like the water ripples at the top. But I wonder if you masked-out the water that overlaps the buildings if that would sell it better the illusion of a city under water? The sea creatures look awesome and the way you have the yellow tangs going behind the church really creates some depth!
Together Again. I did this today for a friend as we are going to lunch for the first time in over 400 days. This exercise was alot of fun. Thank you! Wishing you much good health!
Amazing
Hey everyone, this is my Metallic to Prismatic Challenge - most Metallic than Prismatic actually ... There is a style difference between the background and the Fearless Girl, is it disturbing my design?
Pondering how I would mask out the water....not sure how/where to do it. Need to think about it. But thanks for the suggestion! Its looks like the viewer is peering thru the wall of an aquarium, but not really sure how to change that. The 'sea monsters' are actually teeny tiny bioluminescent larvae. How cool are they!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @compact pecan
this one was fun!
Warping & Distorting
Hah! Very cool! I think that makes you officially the first person to use bioluminiscente larvae in a PSDCC! 😂
Challenge Eight. I did so many iterations. I finally settled on this one.

@jade plover how large is your file? There is 8MB limit
not big, 80kb - downsized using legacy save for web to 600 wide
it didn't like me using Paul's whole name the other day either.. which made me giggle, but a tad frustrating.
@jade plover I suggest you post your issue in ask a question tab. The moderator will assist you in sorting out the issue
