Lovely textures in this one! I loved the brightness and the yellow highlight of the moon, adds a stronger look to the warm colors. Well done!
My composite.
Thank you I was getting a 60s LSD vibe lol

Thanks, it was actually from a pic of a sunset.

It looks beautiful, @graceful zinc! Especially that subtle glow around the sun. 🙂
Thank you.
thanks beautiful Square Marbs ! the front image could be a bit larger but hehe in nature it's probably more realistic your way
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @median crystal
what do i think ? beautiful : lettering stand out a bit more
gorgeous : the side lettering a bit further in so don't give printer nightmares !
Thanks for the input, I need that type of feedback.
Not so sure about the text. and overall design?

Day 5 - one more challenge done 💪 🦾
@silver falcon : Such a great Day 3 challenge! Love how you blended the landscape with the elephant shape. Cold colors work well. Nicely done!
So good Love everythgin about this great PAINTING!
I like the color purple 😄
Ralph your owl is AMAZING love the intensity and coloring.. so good
Chameleon goes very well with this challenge @stone wigeon. You made a great job applying pop art colors on the animal and Ilike the idea to keep the original color for the branch. It gives an interesting contrast. Nicely done!
Thank you! I was playing around with the textures and patterns. I'm glad you noticed
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @coral stone
@silk hatch : Brillant idea to use a flower for this challenge! Always cool to see designs made with personal stock. Love how colors of flower and background match. Very nice design!
@pure bloom Really digging your colors and contrast on both of these images! The bold colors really give the zebra a unique look. The balance between white and blue on the polar bear image works really nicely, with the polar bear repeating the white of the background, and the text repeating the blue of the image. Really cool!
@graceful zinc Really interesting, sort of surreal look with how you blended the sky into the water! The greyscale images make for an interesting contrast against the bold colors of the pink text. I like the border, but I wonder if lowering the color's saturation a bit might help draw more visual attention towards the center of the image? Nice work!
@simple mantle Very nice! The orange and purple definitely make for a nice bold color contrast in this design. I feel like the center design could even be scaled up a bit to make it even stronger and more prominent. Looks good!
Thank you! 🙏 😃
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @hollow yarrow
@quiet ridge This looks good! I really like the boldness of the blue and yellow contrast. The only thing is I feel like the contrast of the bird, particularly the dark tones could be increased a bit to give it a stronger contrast, depending what you're going for. Nicely done!
@simple mason Loving the colors! Though I wonder if giving it a slightly darker background might make the chicken pop more, and subdue the background texture/shapes a bit more for a better balance. Also making the text blue instead of orange would help it read better and be a great way to mirror the blue from under the beak. Just some ideas. Really nice work!
Thank you for your advice I will keep playing around with it

I finally made a cover page
Day three! #catchingup
Day5 challenge. I might of made it a bit too busy. Welcome all feedback.
Day 6 Challenge
@idle yarrow your two Macaw designs are awesome! I think I prefer the dark background version (maybe because it gives a more intense contrast) but the lighter background version is great too. Impressive work!👍
Challenge 4 Design a Kaleidoscope. My Giant Panda image is by Laura the Explaura on Pexels. I made this a gif animation but I had to make it very small because the original file size was enormous.
😁....thank you @west plume
@coral stone ....thanks ...it was fun to work on today! 😁
Both are fab, but I am a fan of #1 . 2 Is cool, but I preferred the lighter background on this one. Maybe the intensity front to back is too equally intense on #2 ?
Both are terrific, but I really like your Zebra. well done.
That is spectacular. Really creative. Love it.
This reminds me of the old Audobon prints. Cool idea. a success.
thanks!!

Day 5
Wow, very evocative and 'moody'! (I think there may be a typo in chimpanzee) Love the choice of colours, the typeface and overall look.
thank you @little spoke ill fix the typo immediately😄
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @little spoke
I'm way behind, but here's my Day 3 challenge! Definitely love the double exposure; now I just need to incorporate it into other work! 😊
Typo corrected
@onyx field Thanks for the input.

This koala made the news this week as ( i think it was the cause of ) [in] a multi-car pile up on the highway, Nadia Tugwell carried a koala in the middle of the road to her car, wrapped him/her in a blanket to take to a wildlife refuge; and when she stopped for petrol she came back to the car and the koala was at the steering wheel !!
@west plume Thanks for the comment.
Tried to have the background stand out so the center piece of the design stand out ... well at least, you know it's a chicken.
Day 6. A little overboard on the pop art?! What do you think of the starfish text?
I find that the macaws are perhaps too faded and the caption overpowers them. Perhaps if they were slightly bolder it would create more balance. But it's a strong image!
Another version...which do you prefer?
@little spoke Yeah I thought so too...but wanted to put the Ben Day Dots on them as well...I just took them off and it is much better...I think. Thank you. Love your Starfish...
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @little spoke
@little spoke It's hard to see the difference...is the background darker on the 2nd one?
Day 6. I really like how this one turned out. This challenge has been great! Anything anyone would change?
@eternal mica Nice job of the texture effect with this design! If the colors were more desaturated it might kind of have an old school comic look to it. The color scheme has a nice balance to it as well. Looks good!
@wispy compass Hah, very nice! The red night sky definitely makes for an interesting look, and makes me a bit wary of the rooster. Perhaps adding a bit of a red tint to the hands would make them fit in with the lighting of the scene, which I imagine might have a strong red cast to it. The grainy texture makes for an interesting touch, nice job!
@compact pecan Very nice, I think this works really well as a stamp design. It has a slightly aged/retro look to it, which I think the texture you added helps a lot. The whole image seems a touch dark to me, as if you could boost the brights a bit with a levels adjustment. I'm not sure if it's to aid the aged look, but even so I think it could be a touch brighter overall. Great work!
@stone wigeon This image is perfect for this challenge! Really great job with the patterning of the colors. The simple background and branch give the chameleon a great contrast and focus. Nicely done!
@old jetty Great colors! The pink has a nice bold contrast against the blue and the whole color scheme gives it a very dream-like feel. I like how you made the horse's tail break the frame too, nice work!
@wraith sierra That's great to hear! Glad you're liking it. I really like the colors in this image, and the texture adds some nice interest to the background while contrasting well with the parrot. Perhaps mirroring the yellow or green from the parrot into the text might give the text a bit more pop? Looks good!
@idle yarrow I think this back on your Day 6 version 2 design does a really nice job of allowing the design of the bird to pop against the dark background. The blue and orange also give it a really strong contrast. The pattern is a really interesting addition too!
@true seal This is really cool, I love the sort of colored pencil/illustrated look it has! The bold colors are a nice look.
DCC-3- Double Exposure Version-4
Thanks! I appreciate it. This challenge is the first time I have really gotten into PS and I have already learned so much.

This is pretty sweet looking!
I enjoyed doing this one, might have needed to work on the colors a little bit more on the macaw.
I am very happy with the final result 🙂
Iteration 11+ on the Macaw challenge. 🎨🦜
Thank you @bleak fossil ! I will definitely try to add some color to the text! Thank you for the advice!

My retro-esq work for Day 6, I'm satisfied with how the colours blended overall, but would love some feedback as always! 😄
Day 6 : Would love to hear from you guys....
DAy 6: What do you guys think of the colors, I feel like the background doesn't blend too well with the subject? Thanks!
I love it. Really grabs the attention.

Day 6
here is challenge number six
Day 6: This was fun! I think the giraffes agree, don't you think? 😆
Pop art. Comments welcome.
@bleak fossil desaturate the whole image or just the main subject?
It`s super cool. Really like the idea.
Challenge 6.
@little spoke : really prefer second version of your starfish... Warmer tones and halftone patterns add a nice touch. Well done!
@craggy lake : you can be happy. Your Macaw turned out great. Love the colors and the vintage effect mood. Offset effect on "Macaw" text is efficient and I love the subtle background pattern. Impressive work!
@topaz trail : your day 6 design is really nice. So many good think to say... Great warm colors, I love how you applied grain texture It gives a nice "vintage illustration" feeling. Typeface fits well with your design...etc. Really great job! 💯
@median crystal : Your giraffes are very "funky". I really like your design. Nice color strokes and I love how you played with textures. Drop shadows give a nice off-set effect and make giraffes pop. Awesome!
Great Rainbow Panthera @ruby panther . Love how you made it pop playing with contrast between background and foreground. Nicely done!
Thank you @hollow yarrow !

Thank you so much for such an encouraging feedback. I am thoroughly enjoying this process and pushes me to do better
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @hollow yarrow
@topaz trail I think your composition of all the elements is fantastic. The contrast between the bird and the branch really fills the frame nicely and you still allow some extra room next to the bird for room to “look.”
Here is my Challenge 6. Not 100% happy with this so may have another attempt if I've time later

Here's the day 6 challenge
Thank you so much for the feedback! ☺️
I spent so much time searching for solution and reviewing the slideshow. Layers are not easy.
Thank you @bleak fossil ...the grain in the image is noise from the horse head image my husband took...too much noise for a good Astro photo but I agree it’s interesting for this project...I thought about adding a red tint to the hands but thought it would be too much red... I will try it...thanks again for your thoughtful feedback!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
@lyric pebble very nice work! Feel free to always tag me if you're struggling with something. I think the design came out really well, just one thing that you could do is changing the postmark of the postmarks to Multiply, this way it will blend with the background texture, adding a cool realistic touch. Let me know if you have any questions. Well done
Awesome colors @young karma! I loved how it blended with the feathers of the owl and the luminosity range. The background also allows it to stand out and the colors are combining very well.
#6 2nd try, added some noise
Thanks for your feedback.😇

Challenge Day 6 - Pop-Art Tiger . Given the tiger's pattern, I added a drop shadow with noise to make the title stand out. Any thoughts?
Not to be disagreeable, but I do like the photographer reflection in the eyes. It gives it more of the pop art feel
Feedback welcome
@silk hatch I really love your Day 6 Pop Art! Colors and texture are awesome... Everything works well together. To nitpick you might remove photographer reflections in the eyes (i don't know why but they attract my sight) and make eyes and lips pop with dodge&burning (like below)... Just an idea...Anyway you did a Great job!!!

T🙂 hanks for your recommendation
@bleak fossil Sam, thank you for pointing that out. I get confused by the term "PopArt" I think of it as "Peter Max-esque" bright colors screaming off the page. I dont think of the more subtle uses. I hope this looks better, more subdued. I appreciate your advice.

Day 7
WOW @ruby panther your Leopard is amazing
Day 6 - Pop Art Photo Editing
#7 Collage technique, used paint filter for the penguin, still have to add text
My Day6 of DCC
Day 7 - Imperial eagle. I don't know what kind of collage I could make with this eagle, but...
I took a picture of this peace of corc and cut some parts
like this and used motion blur in several points of the eagle
How's the colour bird?
Got free image of Night King and flying dollars and made this collage.
Here's my Day 7: Objects around the house. The only idea I had was using rocks from outside (bottom right) and then making a stamp for Loch Monsters.
monday 8th, wow super challening but i limnped to the end...lads learned so the results dont reflect the lesson but run out of time today.
Day 7.
Whooping Crane Stamp
Day 7 I was stuck for ideas on this one and it's ended up a bit pop art like day 6 😄 .
My attempt at today's challenge
Day 5: surreal landscape. Running a little behind on challenge😅
@hollow yarrow You nailed the Andy Warhol style!!
Hi all, i liked how Kathleen placed her paper pieces out of the frame, so I did the same with the rocks. This is Day-7 found objects🦕 👱♀️
sweet! i'm digging the colorful rocks. right now, the rock extending past the edge kinda makes it seem like there's a rock flying towards the reptile, haha. maybe the rocks in the foreground could be the ones that break the edge? so it denotes depth of field
I had a route round and found my old idea-ology sticker book! It felt like a good idea but it's been a long day at work and I really don't know how this looks... so if you have improvement suggestions i'm all ears! 😖
What a cool idea, would never think to use cork this way - awesome
uhhg - You are completely right. Thanks formaking me aware!👍 sometimes it needs someone elses eye....👀
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @sterile bane
i think this is really striking! my only feedback might be to lighten the value of the letters in the BG a bit (or break them up somehow like with a halftone pattern) so that the eye can detect that the crane is #1 for visual hierarchy and the big type is #2
Thank you! 😆 I knew something was off! You're a star!

day 7
Lovely work, @empty star! The colors came out great, and I loved the way that they and the shapes are blending with the textures. Nicely done!
Very nice work, Phil! The bird has super cool colors and I loved the texture work on the top areas. If you want, you might play with some textures for the background, keeping them subtle so the focal point on the bird will be preserved. 🙂
I like the vibrant and saturated colors you chose, they really give some life to the stamp. Sometimes when playing with a high amount of saturation for the colors it's easy to make the image look busy, which was totally not your case, I think everything look pretty well balanced. Excellent work!
challenge 7
Loving this color combination, Emma! The yellow elements add a consistent look between the dark shade of blue and the warm tones from the elephant. Great job!
Super cool work! You managed the contrast in a great way, bringing some consistency to the whole stamp. I like the shadow you applied to the bottom text, it stands it out very well, I believe you might reduce its opacity just a touch more, but that's totally a personal preference. Awesome job! 🙂
This is amazing, Mia! I loved the edge work of the macaws, the colors are looking very spot on and I like the patterns and textures you applied. You also did an excellent job with the typography adding a stroke to make it stand out but still preserving the consistency of colors. Very very well done!
Day6 challenge. Is it pop art enough?

Day 7 - Found-Object Collage
Yesterday's challenge using Lightroom and B\W image.
Love the shell.
Challenge 7
DCC 7! 😀
day #7. I'm not sure if this is considered a montage, but I did use a piece of cloth and then cut them in photoshop to make puzzle pieces. Is this considered a montage? also, can someone please tell me insights about the color use? I just pick colors at random and I think if I knew how colors work together it would make picking colors much easier.
I can't get the lynxes outside the window. When I mask them the same way I did the rocks, nothing happens. I don't know why. Advice?
@queen aspen very cool idea! Might try similar....
@tawny badge LOVE the color palette! Of course I am partial to purple. I like the pic you chose too: the bird with the wide open beak saying, "Hey listen to me!" I also appreciate the idea of multicolored type; maybe if it were bigger, or with a darker outline, it would be easier to read.
@topaz trail your warm tones really pop on that dark green background. How is that bird name pronounced, anyway?
@hushed spade from what I can see in your workflow, what I would do is alt-click on the mask for the arch layer which will make a selection from the mask. Then I would click on the mask for the lynx (you could group all the lynx groups together) then paint-in black to hide the rest of the arch.
@idle yarrow Very nice! Do you mean collage? I think so, the idea was to bring in textures to make graphic shapes to use in your designs and it looks like you did just that! The way you broke them into puzzle pieces is a nice effect. As someone who has been painting for over 10 year I feel like color is something you kind of get an eye for. With experience you notice different colors that have a good harmony together, find favorite combinations, colors and swatches you use often, etc. Knowing the difference between the different color schemes (complimentary, analogous, etc) helps, but it completely depends on the mood and level of contrast you're going for. https://color.adobe.com/ is also a great resource to play around with different color schemes and find a palette that works together.
@stone wigeon Great use of shapes in this challenge! I love the strong graphic contrast these shapes get against the white background. The shadow is a really nice touch as well. 👍
@echo parrot Nice job with the collage images in this Day 7 design! The masking is looking really nice, though the missed spots between the wing tips could use a bit of cleaning up if you wanted to push it any further. The bird has a nice contrast against the background, looking good!
@graceful zinc Ooh, really interesting bold color on this design! I like the textures too, the background has a strong textured paper feel to it. Nice work!
@wispy compass Day 7 is looking good! I like the high key look to it. The soft colors give it a really playful feel. I do wonder if the legs and head of the bird could have a bit more contrast against the background, the read seems like it could be a bit stronger. Perhaps darkening the head and legs just a touch to have a bit more contrast like the bottom of the wings do? Or even playing with their color a bit to something that separates it further from the background. Just some ideas of course. Very cool style to this design!
Thanks Sam! 😃
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
@low garnet Really great colors and textures of this! The softer contrast gives it a nice slightly aged look, kind of makes me think of 90s cartoons or commercials with those colors. I kind of wonder if a subtle drop shadow on the text might help it read a bit more at a glance against the light background. Solid work, glad to hear you're enjoying the challenges!
@runic basin Really neat take on this challenge! Everything has a really nice contrast, especially the white of the birds against the darker background, which gives this a great focus. I like the natural look neutral background color against the brass colored gears to kind of balance them out. Kind of interesting how easily turning the background color into a more saturated and bold red would push this image to look much more "royal" rather than it's current more natural look. Not a suggestion, just an observation about how colors have so much power, hah. Looks good!
Photoshop Daily Creative Challenge - Found-Object Collage
Hi - used some maple leaves as back ground wings. Lots of fun with this challenge
By far the most interesting thing hanging around the house are the sunflowers in the garden I specifically grew for the birds !

Thanks Franck! 😃

thank you so much I just filled my library with amazing colors I'm excited to use them!!!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
@young junco Very cool! Nice job on the shapes and textures in this design. I feel like the cut out shapes could use a bit more contrast against the background to read a bit more strongly. Maybe separating the value or hue a bit could help? Though it really just depends what you're going for. The contrast on the crane makes for a nice strong focal point, well done!
@fluid wharf I'm liking the bold colors on this design! It really gives the parrot a strong read and a lot of pop. The texture and pattern on the background adds some nice interest as well. Cool style!
@eternal mica Oh man, those cats are so cute. I like the way you integrated the cat into the background with a sort of textured blend. The background collage effect is looking good. Nice work!
@shrewd kettle Ooh, really interesting effect! I really like the clean read between the dog and the patterned background. The subdued contrast of the background adds a lot of interest while not competing at all with the contrast of the dog which works really well. Very nice work with the color patterns, definitely gives it a bold pop-art looking style!
@sonic mulch Really cool design for the Day 7 challenge! I love the patterned background and how you push the contrast to be a bit stronger on the collaged items. The triangle shape between the crane and shape of the collaged items create a nice composition and sense of movement. I feel like boosting the bright tones of the bird juuust a touch could work nicely to make it an even stronger focal point, but that's a bit of a subtle nitpick. Looking good!
After a bout of creative block, I pushed through and finally ended up with this. My found things were the leaves and flowers I saw around my neighborhood when I took a walk.
@bleak fossil Thanks Sam. The cat is adorable. I've learned one thing for sure. There are tons of cat and dog lovers around. When I googled this pic, I knew it would be a hit. I used a brush to create a texture on the cat. I'm really happy with the result.
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
@dusty cloud Really digging the color scheme and stylized look of this design! I like how you created a lot of contrast with so few colors, especially the bold shadows and bright highlight of the bird to really make it pop and extend naturally into the collaged shapes behind it. Nice balance composition on this too, well done!
@haughty gale Glad to hear it, it's looking nice! I like the sort of yellow/blue color scheme going on with this one. Also the way the bird has the most saturated colors gives it a nice focus. Nice job!
@onyx field Nice job with the masking and how you overlapped the perch of the bird with the flowers. The lighting fits together nicely, and the bird contrasts really nicely against the bright yellow background. Looks good!
@simple mantle Very cool! Nice job cutting out all the found objects, they fit very well with this picture. I really like the simplicity of the color palette, the purple and white have a nice balance and the crane stands out really nicely. The way you made it break the frame on the left side is a great touch too. Nicely done!
Thanks Sam. I started out with a really cluttered canvas and kept pushing the objects around and/or sizing them big and small. The way I finished makes it look nice and dainty.
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
@hushed spade : Not sure to understand well your problem but here's some points to check when you paint on a mask and nothing happen:
1- be sure you select the layer mask you want to paint on,
2-be sure there is no other selection active ( if you have a doubt: Cmd+D to deselect)
3-be sure the brush selected mode is set to "normal" (if your brush mode is set to overlay and you paint black on your mask nothing will happen)
These types of mistakes could happen to everybody (even pros)
If you want to use the "Arch" layer mask to complete the "Lynx-Red" layer mask I can suggest you to: Cmd+click on Arch layer mask (It will load a selection of white area of this layer mask) then Cmd+Shift+I (to invert the selection and load black area). With this selection active now click on "Lynx-Red" layer mask and fill the selection with black.
Hope it will help you.🤞
Thanks @bleak fossil I will work on the bird...I adjusted the brightness maybe too much in the initial image adjustment...I’ll see if I can darken it’s head and legs 😁

It was such a fun designing this one. I think it turned pretty well. What do you think?

Thank you Sam for feedback
I love the story of this image 😄
You’ve got style! I love each of your compositions and color schemes 😁
Oohhh, love the movement in this! 🤩
Thanks @young karma. The 1st 3 projects were accidentally purple-y. I continued the pattern when I noticed the purple afterward 🤣. My subconscious must’ve wanted to play out purple these days 😝
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @steep fjord
I wish my subconscious worked in such a matter, huh 🤣
Day 7: Found Object Collage. Had an interesting time experimenting with layers. Do you think theres too much going on here? 🤪
Absolutely in love with this....
@compact pecan Thanks, will try!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @compact pecan
@glacial minnow Love the color scheme and the waves beneath the bird. I might just make the background a little lighter.
@topaz trail I really appreciate how the red panda is curled up in a hand. The symbolism is very appropriate. I might just create more contrast between the panda in the background.
Hey thanks ... am glad the intended symbolism got through to you. 🥰 Will give the contrast a try. I am basically going in for dark earth tones and guess got a bit carried away... thanks yaaaaa
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @hushed spade
Thanks Valdair ☺️

This is so cute 😍 Love the playful vibe 💦
I really like this. It’s visually striking without being overpowering
So adorable, and the font matches really well! The earth tones work give it a nice zen vibe and work well with the bamboo
Day 7: Found Objects Collage - Not sure I've achieve the desired movement and texture here! But I'm happy to have learned the workflow and the special shift-command-J! Feedback on colors, composition, and effects most welcome and appreciated.
Thank you! 😊

Challenge Day 7
I updated my Day 6 Challenge! Here is the final version.
And here is my Day 7 work! Should I keep the gradient on the leopard or change it?
Wooooow this is everything!

Day 7
Yeah, another one finished!
@bleak fossil So I tried it out with different color backgrounds and it really does change the feel of the overall look...the first being the original...Anyone have a favorite?
Thank you 🙂

Thank you. That`s my favourite part 💦

Maybe this version is better?
Thank you @bleak fossil for the advice to use yellow for the text! I added some color to the parrot too.

WIP. Day 8
Challenge day 3
Day 8 - Complete
I went for a fairly realistic vibe on this one compared to my other stamps, and used exposure and hue and saturation adjustment layers to build up the glow and light effect.
I think the picture shouldn't be so bright further back and also to the side of the tree trunk.
Thanks for the feedback. The Leopard picture had the tree branch in it, I will see what it looks like further back too.
Day 7: "Found" objects. I really like the way this one went together. Hammerhead sharks from Pixabay and seaweed from AdobeStock.

My challenge for today, had trouble lighting up the forest copy around the leopard.
Challenge 1 - I'm catching up. Running behind. I duplicated the main turtle a few times and resized them smaller to make it look like there are more far beneath the main character.
Happy Valentines - from the Whooping Crane Challenge
This looks like the Patronus charm from Harry Potter!😍
Thank You @coral fog

No problem! Sorry for modification of your design... I made it just to illustrate my message as my english is not really good. I repeat it : your original design is awesome.

Here's mine from Day 1. #latetotheparty but I'm going to try and do a few days in the same session to catch up! Also very new to Discord so bare with while I try to work this all out! 😅
Day 8. Had a little trouble getting the copy image to go to all black but I think it looks pretty good.😅
Looks amazing! The way you did the outer glow makes it look like there's that street light shine from above. Wonderful!
Challenge #5 Surreal Landscape.
This is Day 8 - My vision about the wild cat...
I can't figure out the what @sterile bane did to when she made a mask of the black later and masked it with the design background. When I follow her instructions it all just stays black. Can anyone help me?
Thanks @hushed spade I did wonder if the background was a little too dark

Thank you! I am happy you like it :)! I was not able to remove the color, but somehow it works 🙂

my first challenge! yay! day 1, done!
Great colors, @marble blade! I loved the way that the blue and the green are standing out from the background, adding a cool neon look. The text color was also a great way to make the whole stamp consistent. Very well done!
I'm struggling with the same issue. Should there be any clipping masks on any of the layers and would that affect the issue? I get as far as invert and then everything remains black after hitting Alt+Delete. Thanks for any further suggestions!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @heavy ruin
My Day 7 of DCC
This turned out super cool, @copper moss! I like the contrast between the owl and the background. Just a personal preference but I'd consider brightening the glow just a touch more. If you want, you might play with some blend modes for the outer glow. Color Dodge and Linear Dodge (Add) are great for such effect. Just a thought, great job!
Day 8 - Spectral Design. I decided to go WITH the possessed look.
Day 8 Spectral Snow Leopard
I'm late😅
@heavy ruin Her steps were these:
After creating the selection with ctrl+click on the thumbnail of the Design Background layer, she selects the Color Fill layer mask > press shift+ctrl+I to inverse the selection > and press Alt+Delete to fill the mask selection with the black foreground color
Thank you @coral stone that was helpful.

Day 8. I had trouble at first but I think I got it now.
Did you see @coral stone comment above with the steps
Welcome in @neon linden . Your day 1 is a great start. I love how you applied the warm gradient on turtle and the haltone pattern drop shadow works well on this design. Nicely done!👍
Day 8: Humpback Whale. I did change the time of day and used some filter effects. The whale and postmark are from AdobeStock
OK, here's my "serious" one (no ✌🏽 LASERS✌🏽 this time
day7 collage is done. Taken a long time. I hope it is visible that the water made out off lots of water drops. 🤓
I used crumpled tissue papers. ✂️ ✂️ ✂️

day 8
Here is my Day 8, I will be happy to get any input anyone might have to offer
Looking amazing and so professional. The mix of the warm and cold colours works perfectly. It really looks like a real stamp design to me!
Keep up the good work!
😍 😀 😱
@coral stone @heavy ruin Thank you for the help, Valdair!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @coral stone
Whoop! Whoop! I tried.
Challenge 2 - I'm catching up. I like the color pallete I chose but something doesn't seem quite right. The pandolins seem too strong in saturation I think. I thought applying an oil painting filter might help, but it just made the image look cooler than the original. Still the color harmony...I'm not sure what it is I'm not getting. Anyways, for this piece I played with text as texture. The text is facts about pangolins.
My day 8!
🙃
Tigers are just so cool.
@arctic rover I like the color contrast on this image! The stroke around the masked foliage is a cool look too, and I like how you repeated the color from the tiger in the text. I wonder if the text might work better with the color from the yellow (white) part so it still reads where it overlaps the tiger? Design is looking good!
Good idea about the font color! Thanks!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
@simple mason Hah, really cool use of the text to make it look like the monkey is wearing a chain, it also works really well with bright color and contrast of the background. It gives the image a nice balance, nice job!
@pure bloom Ooh, I love the pale glow against the really dark background. Great contrast, and the text color works well to unify the whole design. Really cool idea and execution!
Challenge number 8...Any Input appreciated.
@simple mantle Really cool idea with the background text, it makes for a really nice texture on its own too. There's definitely a strong, bold color contrast in this image which works, but it just depends on the feel you're going for. You could always play around with an adjustment layer for hue and/or saturation to see if you can find what you're not liking. Looking good!
@runic basin I like what you did with the red and green contrast here! The leopard also stands out nicely against the dark green background. I'm not sure what blend mode you used for the red eyes, but I wonder if one might have a more glow-like look as opposed to more of a color cast. I often like color dodge and screen for glows. Very cool!

Great @simple idol ! Love the idea of waves made of ripped paper! Well done!
Well done! I like how you made the background subtle, how you applied glowing effect around leopard and on tree trunk. Nicely done👍
@bleak fossil Thank you again for your input. I have the eyes on Color Dodge...I adjusted the outer glow a little. I can't tell much difference.

(I had to look this up)
Aine (Irish) – Goddess of love, growth, cattle and light. Her name means bright as she lights up the dark. Celebrations for this goddess were held on midsummer’s eve.
Does she stand out enough? I wanted her partly ethereal but not to blend in too much. Not sure if I got the balance right. Thoughts?
only laughing at your joke. your stamp is wonderful! i'm particularly drawn to the color palette and textures.
Day 8
I took an old composite I had and tried to update it. Wish I had the original file so that I could make the aqua fit in more, like with the letters.
Thanks, much appreciated!
touched up the eyes a little
Day - 7😀
Day 7 - Found Object Challenge....I used an image of wood pile for the found objects in this image. The movement aim was for the crane to soar over the wood pillars. Should the wood pillars been lighten? Any suggestions/feedback would be appreciated.
That's a camel from the X-Files !! lol
Day 3, double exposure. Did one as part of my marine series and another.
Day 8, glowing Leopard

tq🙂
Didn't quite fill the brief but love these guys : will see if he has a photo of a lace minotaur for the last challenge !
Day 4 kaleidoscope...Is the background to empowering? Colours too intense?
Challenge 6 (Pop Art) - I like the geometric coloring I did all over the frog and the splash of yellow shapes surrounding it. I'm not quite set on the brightness/darkness...It doesn't quite read as a frog. But it looks cool anyways...kinda like a cartoon.
Struggled with some of these techniques, but learned a lot.
Here is my work!
Thanks Sam. I really appreciate your feedback and encouragement.
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
I like the concept. In my opinion, since the crane is the focus subject I think the wood could be lightened and the crane could stand out. Overall, good work!
I love it! That kitty is staring me down 👀 😄
She stands out well. Her image is crisp and clear and the glow around her draws my eyes to the background which looks magical.
I love the kitty pic you chose. It’s adorable 🥰 I like how the leopard glows.
Nice mashup!
I'll need to try this out with some different animals, but I'm liking the glowing effect for sure.
Day 8: Glow in the dark Kashmiri Red Stag. I wanted to give it a mystical forest animal feel. Do let me know what you guys feel ...
I vote for this one ...
I opted to keep the green in the background because it’s my fav color. This design was brutal for me🙃
Hello! Here is my day 8–Let me know if the color glow is working? Thanks!
So atmospheric and scary! Love it! Great job 🙌
Challenge Day 7 - Giraffe collage. I added some texture to the text with layer styles. I also duplicated the giraffe layer to make it feel more like a paper collage. I opted for a darker and muted background to make the colours pop and stuck to the same colour palette used for the triangles. What do you think?
I think I would lower the opacity of the background so the jellyfish stands out. You might also consider using a slightly more muted color as well, just to help it contrast with the jellyfish. I really like how you have the very ends of the tentacles breaking the frame!
Very nice color combo with the green of the forest and the red eyes. I especially like the “added touch” of the eyes in the background! That is a very small addition to the overall project but it really creates an outstanding impact overall. Well done! 👏
I think this one works best as the colours stand out better! Nice choice of colours and subject btw. 😊 On this one, to me, the circular patters draw the attention away from the pup. One way you could fix that is by making the blacks stand out a little bit more on the dog layer with a Curve or Levels adjustment layer. Alternatively, you could lover the opacity of the layer where the circles are or play with blend modes 🙂
Challenge Day 8 - My attempt at spectral design. It took longer to actually refine the mask on the owl than anything else 😂 What do you think of the outcome?
I made another version of day6-popart, as i found my first one was too dark
so Iam happier with this one, i need to add some texture to the background though. what do yout hink of the difference
(sorry for catching up)
Challenge 8 done
day 1
Pangolin Day 2 Challenge
@eternal mica : Nice! It looks like a psychadelic music band cover! All these glowing eyes looking at me...I am hypnotized
I love this one Silvia! All elements fit well together and color palette is great. I like the depth adds by paper triangle poping out the frame. Yellow screen texture and redish copy added give a nice offset print effect. You nailed it!
I think the problem is foreground and bachground colors are too close. You lost contrast and your medusa disappears. You can keep same colors but maybe darkening a bit background would makes medusa pop more... Just an idea By the way: great pattern!
Love it! Your pop art frog is really cool. Geometric coloring works well here and I like the Screen print texture of shapes all around the frog and the nose coming out of frame adds depth. Great job!
@hollow yarrow hahaha, Good call, I didnt realize that. The eye colors are the actual colors of the different cats' real eye shades.
Probably not one of my best works for this challenge, but would love to know what everyone else thinks! 🙂
I wanted to do it with other animal BUT those eyes are so unreal.
Going with a Valentine's Day color vibe...
Here is my Day 8 Work!
I was confused about the text placement. Which one looks better?😅
Hey guys, here's my red kite for Day 7 🙂
Here is my Challenge 7 collage design
Day 8: Spectral Leopard: Had quite a number of challenges with this very interesting workflow. Thanks so much, again, to @coral stone for his advice and support! Challenges that remain - for reasons that baffle me, the text layers are not editable. I've used the same design template each day and today the text isn't editable. Any clue why this is happening? Some issues with messy framing - layers not all sized the same so windows are overlapping a bit. Wasn't sure how to get the final outer glow around leopard's eyes. But overall, learned so much and will need to review and repeat to drill it in! Thanks for the challenging challenge!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @coral stone
Day 8
No problem, @zinc fjord! Maybe the text layer was rasterized or converted into a Smart object. If you want, you might send me a screenshot of your canvas so I can check. 🙂
Day 8
I love the design .. my feeling is to darken font of Dolomites; the black box in bottom right corner takes away from overall effect; and with sky background, to up the angle of the giraffe long neck as at mo slightly looks like an antelope .. makes a great stamp
Here's the day 8 challenge.

Happy Friday Everyone!!
I thought @sterile bane had broken me when I saw this challenge. It really didn't fit my stamp style! Soooo I had to get creative 😬 I rendered some clouds and used the ripple brush in liquify to make a cool circular effect, applied a perspective on it and then changed the blend mode. I am SO surprised at how cool it looks! (or at least I think it looks cool 😂 )

Challenge 9. Thank you for offering this series! I learned so much.

Day 9 - Liquify
and here is my final "stamp collection." HUGE "Thank You" to @sterile bane for envisioning and putting on such an awesome 9-day challenge. This has definitely been one of my favorites!!
These look great! I love your colours in the toucan stamp!
The last one for this serie of DCC ..... snif, snif,🥲
Challenge 8 - Spectral Leopard - This project took quite a lot of experimentation. Making the night being lit up and believable was really challenging on top of the technical challenge. I returned color to the areas that are lit up. I also tried to blur the hind body of the animal. I made the title play with the ghostly theme by making it transparent as well.

@stone wigeon I really like the addition of the shadow below the cheetah. Nice touch!
@fallow quest looks amazing! It looks like flames for wings!
Beautiful project, @idle zealot! Loved the photo grid and how the templates come out together very well. You were able to keep the design elements very consistent making the 9 stamps very cohesive and really part of a series. Awesome creations!
Also, super cool work on the edges of the tiger's shape behind! Adds a cool action context for the stamp!
Day 6, not my best work I had some problems colouring the Macaw, I'll definitely try again.
Nice work, @marble citrus! I like the postmarks you added, the only suggestion I have would be that if you want to unify the elements on the scene, you might place some postmarks in front of the elephant, so it will give the impression that it really belongs to the stamp's surface. Very nicely done!
Let me know if I can help you with the coloring. Lovely pattern and textures for the background! I like that you kept it subtle so the macaw could really stand out. I also like the vibrant colors that you chose for the texts, I think it really gives some life to the stamp. Great job!
I totally agree with Hugh, @stone wigeon! The shadow helps the cheetah to be part of the scene. Loved the shapes in the background, combining primary colors was a great choice to give some vibrant colors to the scene, and I like that you used a yellow hue to match the cheetah, and a blue hue with higher saturation to match the background. The results are awesome. Well done!
Great stamps, @heavy ruin! Excellent use of the techniques! I can't choose a favorite 😄
Loved the results for the tiger, the colors were a great way to build a visual representation of action with velocity and fire. Keep creating! 🙂
Thanks. This was my favorite challenge so far and I actually finished them all.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for participating!
Very interesting results, @simple mantle! You described really well how the design process works! I loved that you included a thin white stroke for the texts, I think it really helps the texts to stand out. That might be a personal preference, but if you want, you might make the glow a little bit more gradual, I mean that it starts strong and as it moves away from the leopard it starts to blend with the background. You can make the tweaks with the spread and size. Just an idea, great job! 🙂
Lovely work @tawny badge! It doesn't have to be the last one, you can always keep the party going by creating other stamps 😄
Great job with the shapes in the background, I loved that you added some textures to them and the background too. The glow also helps to unify all the elements in the scene. Keep it up!
Thanks Hugh! 😀

Day 7 - Found-Object Collage
Awesome series, Hugh! It's always great to see your designs! I loved the way that you stylized each text for each stamp, creating a unique look for them. All of them look very well balanced and I like that image you added behind in order to display them. 💯
Super cool color combinations, @weary palm! I loved the feathers that falling and the textures worked out great. The only very small detail that I have, would be to mask some of the textures that are in front of the bird, so it will have the same attention as the feathers. Very well done!

Great collection of images. Really dig the cover photo too!
Awesome design! Love it!
Day #9
Day 9 - I'm digging the subtle water splash effect, what does everyone think? Would love some feedback 😄
@blissful egret There's certainly a lot of variety of results you can get with liquify. This turned out awesome! I love the sort of graphic flame effect and the coloration on that left side of the tiger. The texture and grain you added gives it a nice unified look to it. Nicely done!
@glacial minnow Very nice! I like the stark contrast of the white tiger against the dark background. The use of orange as an accent color for the text and the eyes works really well too. Though I wonder if using another blending mode, such as color dodge or screen, might give it a bit more of a glow effect and less of a color cast over the eyes. Looks good!
@quiet ridge Ahh, was liquify a bit too taxing on your computer? It can definitely get fairly resource intensive. I love the effect you got on this one! Kind of spilled ink sort of look to it which is really cool, and the multicolored effect works well. It could even be nice to see the tiger and effect scaled up a bit more to better fill the frame and have a stronger visual impact. Nice work!
@lapis roost I think the color scheme here is working really well! The bold colors against the grey of the tiger, as well as the light tones on the dark background all create some really nice contrast and clear, readable shapes. The way the tiger’s tail breaks the frame is a nice touch too. I like it!
@glacial minnow Really cool designs with the liquify tool! The purple shapes add a nice sense of motion from the wings. The owl contrasts really nicely against the dark background as well. The only thing I might suggest would be that the wing could be cleaned up a bit. I often find the Quick Selection Tool can be quite good for subtle edge clean up. Nice work!

Here's the day 9 challenge
Challenge 9.
I can't remember if I already upload my challenge so here my 1st challenge
My 2nd challenge
My 3rd challenge
I can't choose ... any advice, which one is the best?
All my challenges have a black background so
This was my challenge n°4
Here is my Day 9! And with this I complete my 1st Photoshop Challenge!🙈
#8 second attempt with hippo's, bg now darker !
@bleak fossil Thank you for your input, I was think it looked as it needs something more & I think that would do it. Again thank you

Even though you think you didn't get the spectral part correct, your end product looks awesome! Don't worry so much about following the technique to a "T" and be proud of the images you create and all the other stuff you learned while completing the PS Creative Challenge.
Thanks Valdair. I wanted it to look more like a ghost and it wasn't quite there in my first post. I played around a bit more and it's looking more like a ghost. I used the smudge tool on the black/white adjustment layer to make part of the leopard disappear.
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @coral stone
I really like that you added the "path" where the fox is seemingly walking on. That is such an important element to give the viewer a sense of depth in your image. If I could nit-pick, I'd say your title is a little hard to read - I might go back and change it back to a "regular" font without any liquify effect. But I really like your end-product!
I really like your liquify effect and the colors you chose. And, your addition of tiger stripes around the stamp gives the whole image a little character. Nice job!
This is a really cool effect! It gives me the feeling like the tiger is elusive or something. I think it really works as a postage stamp as well - it seems like this could actually be a stamp that someone designed from a painting. Nice!!
@compact pecan thank you for the feedback
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @compact pecan
I'm really liking the bold colors you used and I like the shapes you created with the liquify tool. I especially like the little "extra" creativity with the tiger's tail extending through the frame. Very nice!! 👏🏽
Here's the final of this series...Looking forward to future challenges...this has been fun and learned some new things along the way. Thanks Kathleen.
Thank you so much for your feedback! :D
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @compact pecan
Super-Cool effect with the colors on the elephant! This really stands out to me and I really like your creativity! I think your gradient for the background works really well to establish a background, but highlight your main subject because it fades into white as the elephant becomes more prominent in the image. Yours is one of those images where I look at it and think, "boy, I wish I had thought of that!" Outstanding!!
If anyone is interested in see all of my designs for this Stamp Challenge and give me some feedback on the series you can go to https://www.behance.net/gallery/113364385/Before-They-Vanish?tracking_source=search_projects_recommended|before they vanish Thanks
Pilar, I really like the texture and gradient on your cover, as well as the colors and drop shadow for the type. I didn't notice the animals until I saw it big on Behance. Maybe a tad more contrast would help?
@dusky swallow I missed your lynx before, but I really, really like him on the pointy rock. It helps his shape stand out even more. Thanks for sharing on Behance!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @dusky swallow
WOW, Awesome effect with the liquify tool! This looks fantastic. I like that you included a shadow underneath to give the viewer some perspective and to also "reinforce" that the tiger is running and running fast. It looks like the photographer caught the tiger running in mid-step where all paws are off the ground.
Day 8: 😬 Not too sure about this, but i think its the nature of the challenge. Definitely out of my comfort zone. What do you think, do I need more contrast?
Day 9 : This was my first DCC ever and it’s been awesome. Given me a lot of confidence. Thanks @sterile bane . You were awesome .... Looking forward to many such more

@compact pecan Thank you very much...It was fun doing this one. I'm already missing these daily challenges. I hope they do more soon. I'm going to look into the Illustrator ones. I use Illustrator a bit but could really use some education on the possiblities it holds.

@runic basin I don't know why Behance didn't like my post, so I
I'm putting it here, maybe someone can clue me in. This is for Jim's stamp series.
Orangutan: The color and texture in the O and the contrast with that of the orangutan work well together. I love the filter/effect/brush (?) you used on him and the panda. How did you do that?
Panda: In addition to the painterly effect, I also like how you included a larger image of bamboo. It acts as a visual cue for the bamboo pattern in the background. I like the repetition of the bamboo leaf shape.
Lynx: What's not to love about your lynx stamp? The bright blue and orange are amazing together. Plus your idea of a silhouette mask. I wonder what it would look like with the background a little lighter and the text more visible?
Tiger: My favorite. The background is perfect, the tiger looks like he's smiling (did you do that?), and you kept the tiger stripes in the liquify effect. Perfect!
Challenge Day 9
@hushed spade Thank you so much for your input...I used the Cut Out and/or Posterize effects in the Filters a lot on most of the stamp designs. On the Lynx, I did lighten the background from the original...it was much darker in my first version...I wanted to keep a night time look to the design so didn't want to go too light. But I'll try it and see how it looks. As for the tiger...no I didn't make him smile...he's just a happy little guy. I had fun with this stamp. Never used the Liquify tool before. Thank you again for your input...I've really enjoyed your designs as well.

You can always go back and do previous challenges because the livestream is recorded and saved (and the starter files are still there, too!). @wary swan is very nice to share his spreadsheet that has all the past challenges (I think it's literally ALL of them) so if you want to do an older one during the hiatus week here you go: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18yZ97YFHwl-PZEIrMpLut-jqIqhyxR6hEERIrGhoCaM/edit?usp=sharing. @topaz trail Wow. Love the elephant one. The complex pattern in the elephant is my favorite part. Resembles the linear folds of his skin but in a curvier way. I also really like your idea of putting the same "save" on each stamp. Oh, yeah, and the whimsical touch of the elephant stepping on the type is just my style. I love it!
@compact pecan Thanks Hugh...I'll look into those.
Hi Ayesha, Oh my god they are so beautiful👍 Must have been a lot of work too😍
Thank you so much 😊 It’s been such good fun and really pushed me into thinking hard. So glad I participated.

Thank you !! Yay !! I am so glad to read all the encouraging words. Kinda made my day. Yes it was tough since I had to fit everything I learnt into a colour scheme .. but it kinda pushed me into a new level. Thanks again
yeah constraining oneself (see colour scheme) really makes the difference I think
Day 8 - Spectral Design 🐆
Love your color theme in this and your treatment of the text is great. You might try reducing the glow around the eyes...it's distracting from the rest of the design...and I'd play a little bit with the glow around the Leopard...The effect is there but I think it could be just a little more emphasised...I think it's beautiful though. Great job.
Thank you SamPetersonArt I took your advice & I agree changing the size does help to look of this stamp

I want to say thank you to @sterile bane for one of the most engaing DCCs Ive done. The theme was awesome. Besides enhancing my techniques, I learned about endangered species I never knew about. Nice project Ted! Make your title banners with envelopes is a great idea. Well done!
@mortal crescent Very well done. I like the consistency of the shading of your color palette. One point, I think the gradients and shifting of the direction of the text made it difficult to read. Id think more about simple is better in that regard.
@hollow yarrow Thank you. Your thoughts are always appreciated and valued. I used the air mail envelope because it had a built in recognizable "frame". I didnt have to alter it in any way. I did change the color, as I thought the white was too stark. I took that one cute little step further by adding the individual stamp to each envelope. And I went with a script font to convey handwriting.

@copper pebble Did you create a Behance portfolio? Why not post the link here so we can view it?
@runic basin Very solid portfolio. Bold powerful images throughout.
@blissful egret Very well done. I started last year in DCC mirroring your story in your portfolio. It has been the most fantastic journey. @summer sinew Very strong effort, especially noting its your first DCC. Clean straight forward design. I liked the personal touch you added of your thoughts on each piece.

Day 9 challenge. Thanks to Kathleen.
@trail field nice job on the double exposure. You might want to alter the text. I believe you meant cheetah (the animal) not cheater (a disreputable person), but who knows.
@eternal mica Thankyou for the feed back I will sort that out
@trail field and you might want to hide the red ellipse
@eternal mica thankyou for also pointing it out I fix that
I have fix the text and corrected the spelling
Added more to my grid.
@urban garnet : Your two Day 9 challenge images are awesome. Nice color scheme and I love the "gradient" halftone pattern effect on background. Ripple effect on second version adds a nice touch. The only thing I might suggest would be to add a bit more contrast between your bird and the rest of design to make it pop (I DM you an animated gif to illustrate my comment)... It's just an idea... You made a fantastic job!

Day 9 Liquid Effect
Hello everyone, it's a good thing to have a second chance to do this amazing challenge! Here is my cover.
Some nature tenderness will follow that, but this is my feeling concerning this topic: Blood color, unfortunately.
I choose the blue to give a sweet contrast to the red. The background of this picture is going to be the project background: black.
Day 3. Some of the branches were difficult to hold onto. I'm trying to be patient with myself but I'm happy that I still created this 👍🏾
Day 2 is done. 😃
Lol can't unsee that now 🤣 I guess the liquid effect casted the bird's dino ancestry🧐
Superbe! I can't wait to see next pieces!👍
DAY 1 DAY 2 AND DAY 3. Please let me know if there is any thing needs to improve. thanks!~
I was going to do that and totally forgot. If anyone would like to see what I created in total from the challenge, see it here - https://www.behance.net/jacobthomas11

Sure, why not. The challenge is still on for 2 more weeks.
OK thank you.
Great work and project!
@thorn geyser : the very condensed presentation confused me at first glance but I really liked going from one thumbnail to another. Nice project and great work!👍
@hollow yarrow Thanks! I see what you mean about the condensed look, just opened my project on a phone and it is really really small 😂 I chose that layout as I wanted to show all the stamps together, but I might change it now 😊

What do you think of mu "Macaw" ? (challenge 6)
And my challenge 9, I tried and I think it's OK
@limber thistle : Your Macaw turned out great! Love how you applied gradient over background shapes. It gives a nice touch and fits well with colors on Macaw. Nicely done. Great job too on your tiger with liquify effect! Now make a behance project with all these beautiful designs is mandatory 😉 . Beau travail.
Thank you for the review. Merci
Day 7 - Found-Object Collage
@runic basin Very cool effect! I like the way you included the stripes in the blur trailing off the tiger. It gives it an interesting sense of motion and kind of fantasy/whimsical feel. The blue and orange contrast between the tiger and background makes for a great look too. Nice job!
@young karma This looks great! The subtle pop of blue works really nicely to add some interest and helps further define the silhouette of the gorilla. The subtle breaking of the frame is a nice touch on the foot and head, though I feel like pushing it a bit more on the head to the same degree it is on the foot could look good. Well done!
@vagrant rapids There's definitely some nice contrast between the dark background and the blue and red within the text! I like how the pattern kind of blends between leopard spots and a sort of blood texture in some areas, which I think works conceptually with your theme. The faint background image works nicely as well. Looks good!
This is my first DCC challenge....hope i have done justice to this piece
@prime lake Great colors! I really like the blue/green gradient on the turtle. The orange text makes for a nice accent color and pop of contrast. I like the way the turtle breaks out of the background frame too. Nicely done!
@thorn geyser Really cool colors on here! Kind of has a neon/black light type of feel to it. Even with all the bold background colors and shapes the orange of the butterfly still has a nice clear contrast and read to it. The complementary color of blue around the butterfly is a nice touch as well to add some additional contrast. Nice work!
@narrow roost Really cool idea with the faded image of the wolves. The font size and color definitely gives this image a bold look. It could be nice to see a bit more of the top/head area of the wolves revealed, and have it fade a bit more as it goes down. Just to give them a sliiiightly stronger read, but that's totally up to your preference. Awesome to see you joining us, welcome in and great work!
@old jetty I love your use of the halftone texture on this Day 7 challenge! The bright colors of the llama contrast very nicely with the background. Was the found object texture used for the background or for the blanket design on the llama? Either way it's looking really cool, nice work!
Thankyou for the feedback, and for the suggestion
@gilded flame Nice work on the Day 9 challenge! I like the color variety you added as well. Personally I like the first image with the background gradient. Another variation that could be interesting to see would be to make the "Siberian Tiger" text blue on the first image so that it contrasts against the orange part of the background. Just an idea of course. Nice work with the liquify effect on these too!
@limber thistle Great colors on both the Day 6 and 9 challenges! The contrast works well to give them both a nice pop. Really nice work sectioning out the colors on the Macaw and the variety between texture on the liquify effect on the Day 9 challenge works really well. Nice job!
Edit: By the way, they both look good, but I like the background with the pink pattern on the Panda designs, I think that contrast works a bit better. Excellent use of color in Day 7 and 8 as well!
@red grotto Very nice! These turned out great. There's a really nice cohesive look to the whole project when seeing all these stamp designs together. Very nice variety of techniques. I especially like the double exposure elephant image and the orange Siberian Tiger design. Well done!
@stone wigeon Excellent work! You got some really nice designs out of this DCC. It's hard to choose, but I think my favorites are the Day 1 elephant, the Day 3 double exposure beetle, the Day 6 chameleon, and the day 9 cheetah. I especially like the hard edged shapes you got with the cheetah with the liquify tool. One small suggestion, it might be nice to make the text in that design the orange you have in the shapes, to kind of simplify and unify that blue/orange contrast you have going. Very nicely done, these look great!

Hey, guys! It's my first time posting on Discord! Let me know what you think about my collage? Thank you!
@manic flax Super cool! Excellent use of color and shape in this design. The triangular shape between the crane and collage elements make for a great composition, and red color gives it a really dramatic and sort of elegant look. It might also be interesting to see how it looks with the red collaged elements cropped off at the edge of the white stamp on the left. Either way it looks great, nice work!
Thank you @bleak fossil I will try cropping off the elements around the edge and will be posting more challenges 😉

I have completed my first Photoshop Challenge. It was a lot of fun. Thank you to Kathleen and the mentors.
My project is on Behance : https://www.behance.net/gallery/113102627/Photoshop-Challenge-February-2021
I really love the color scheme and the overall crispness. The red origami cranes are perfect. I also like the beak peeking off the front edge; helps balance the rest. Only thing is, when I first looked at your stamp, I thought it said, "whoofing crane". Maybe doctor that P a little?
I like the rainbow gradient around his head. Hard to read his name.
awesome
Here's my lynx in a surreal landscape. What do you think? Is there too much stone/sandy texture? Can you read the animal name ok? I learned a lot on this one (started over twice). Had trouble with the Forever USA type when I decided to ditch the special effects. Even on a new layer it had some, as you can see if you enlarge it. Wonder why? Didn't occur to me until now I could have created it in a new doc and then copied it over, maybe that would've done it?
How does the arch look? I wanted it to look like an actual arched window (no glass) in a stone wall.
Guess the background isn't all that surreal after all...oh well.
Day 7 - Found-Object Collage
Clouds made with personal pictures of cotton pieces. Textures added are multiple scans of paper sheets.
Day 1 - Colorful Gradient. It was a little difficult for me to make the text legible. So, please suggest to me how to make it correct.
@hushed spade did you put a drop shadow around your arch? It is maybe better without it. Well you can keep it if you like like that.
Kathleen had mentioned trying a version with the stripes flying off.... so I thought I would give it a go 🐅
Day 1 - Colorful Gradient

Creative challenge day 9
Really nice touch with the stripes! I’d say go even further and have them separate even more from the Tiger!
hmm
I like the texture! I also think the font you chose is a really good one to portray a regal kind of feel. I’m not sure why you still have the drop shadow on your text unless you still had a layer style active. I like your choice of earth tones and that the lynx fades a little each time. 👏🏼
@deep mango Good job on the portfolio.
