@onyx fable thatβs also cool my dear π
@analog parrot 5 is fabulous, the othher also but thatβs so colourful π¨ , shineπ‘ and delightfulπ. Well Done πͺπ»
6th Challenge Day. Pen tool, nice for selection. Now I can do more with my travel pictures. Regards
Still playing catch up. This is for Day 5 Photo Editing
Original. My husband and my daughter taken with my phone
Day 5. Thanks @reef rover for the photo π
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @reef rover
Challenge 6: Lived in NYC, moved to NJ. This is a view from NJ of the Freedom Tower.
Day 6 - The Pen tool! π
From Paris - challenge 6
@distant dune Very nice work. Crisp and clean.
day 7
Version 2 --- I played with all the windows, using filter gallery, gradient, etc,
This is a picture I took of Atlanta's Skyline. Had fun using the pen tool and gradients. Is it too much color?π€
Challenge 6 π I had a hard time trying to choose the gradients π this is SΓ£o Paulo - Brazil
Before
can anyone tell me if xd and illustrator creative challenges have a server here on discord or not? thanks
Hi there! This is my image for Day 6,
it's my photo made in my city, TORINO. Hope you like it. CIAO! From ITALY
@young karma Beautiful result β¨ what are the fonts you used on it? They are so nice π€
@sullen willow Illustrator creative challenge does
i got an invite from both of those servers after i asked my question @ionic maple . thanks

Challenge 6 π I had a hard time trying to choose the gradients π this is SΓ£o Paulo - Brazil
@rain dew brilliant
Whew, having problems. 1st off, I don't have "shapes" in my custom shapes drop down....only have these trees, but named; trees, boats, cars, flowers, etc.
I'm a beginner, comments welcome...
@calm jay we're each beginners at something, otherwise, we wouldnt be here. Have fun. You did a great job. Suggestion: Maybe a greater difference in tone between the three purple shades???
@analog parrot I love what you did with the colors here! The lighting observation is an interesting point, I'd try flipping the background really quick just to see how it feels. Though right now you get some nice contrast with the darker tones of the background contrasting against the light tones of the figure, and vice versa. The text also reads really nicely! My only suggestion is that it looks like part of his armpit area on the right side may have gotten masked out during the selection process. Really nice job on this!
@uneven kindle I think the colors work well! Itβs fairly vibrant which adds some nice interest but without being too saturated to the point of looking unnatural. The green and orange/brown combo looks good, balances each other nicely
@unkempt field Nice job, really cool colors/gradients! I think it might help to get a bit more consistency in the gradients. One building is super intense, and the others seem like they're only a bit colored or even darker. I think keeping a more consistent level of saturation will help to unify the style and overall look of the image. Could even be nice to put a gradient in the sky to further push that stylistic consistency. Good job!
@worn yew Ooh nice, did you manually change all the colors of these structures? Very cool! The colors work really nicely together without any being overpowering and the text contrasts really nicely against them. π
@young karma Very cool, you definitely get some nice blue-orange contrast between the sky and tower! I also like the masking you did with the clock tower. Perhaps making the text a touch larger could help some more of the lettering show through which could give it a bit more readability? Nice work π
@hearty wharf Very nice subdued tones in this image! I like how you used vibrant colors but the darker values still give it a subdued feeling. I think it could look nice to boost the brightness of the text a bit more just to give it a little more pop, but that's mostly just personal preference. Looks good Tan!
@modern halo Really cool colorations Willi! I like the smooth background gradient between the sky and land. I feel like the image lost quite a bit of the contrast in the shadows, a simple levels adjustment to boost up the darks might look good. Nice job!
@modern meteor, I agree with @tender crane, similar colors can get too confusing and will have the eye fight for attention. How about complimentary colors instead? Check out this color wheel generator here:
https://www.sessions.edu/color-calculator/
@patent estuary Awesome
Day 5 before (above) and after (below). Questions: Can you undo more than one step (like using the History Panel) when the Camera Raw window is open? In Camera Raw, if you used the mask option on one area, how do you mask another area to make different changes? Thanks!
@jade swift, what version are you on?
@distant dune Very nice work. Crisp and clean.
@twilit shore Thank you π
Pen Tool
day 6!
Day 6 - It's official! I SUCK at using the Pen tool. I'm uploading this just because I've spent a couple hours now trying to make selections with curves and finally just went with this.
@cloud kernel to undo the steps in Camera Raw you just have to press ctrl (or command) + z just like Ps, (for Redo you can use ctrl + shift + z) . I believe the default steps is 50 using the same logic as Photoshop, but you can change on the preferences. About your mask question you can explore these tools in the top bar, they are selective adjustments, which you can add more than one (just click on new on the right panel with the tool selected) π
A little behind. Here's Frame Challenge
Camera Raw Challenge
I like the pen tool but I tend lean toward less is more in my designs. Any suggestions to punch this up?
@sleek shoal The color changes to this image fit perfectly! Especially the sky, it really gives the image a stylized look and the boost in saturation of the buildings fit that well. Adds some great vibrancy and style to the original image!
@arctic rover Very cool Jude! Those inverses colors give it a really interesting effect. It could help to increase the contrast a bit on those areas with a levels adjustment to boost the darks to match the darks of the original image in those areas. The darks look a little faded not counting the red/yellow building on the very right which matches pretty nicely. Cool effects on this!
@balmy drum Great effect with the masking on this! It works really well with that image, both framing wise and conceptually with the colorful flowers. I really like how you repeated some of the colors from the design into the text as well. Very nice π
@azure barn The soft colors of this Day 2 design looks great! The white text against the pink sky works really well and the whole thing has a really relaxing mood to it. Really solid work on the masking, adds some great depth. If you wanted to push it even further I think you could sharpen up the hillside in front of the glowing shape, to give it a bit more of that irregular pointy texture from trees that the rest of the hillside has. You seemed to do that with the hill in front of the text and it works really well. Very nice work on both of these designs!
@granite pasture Ohh, Day 5 looks good! Really interesting how you added the warm light to the building on the left in the same way it's hitting the building on the right, it looks really natural. The added contrast and colors to the rest of the image really pushes that warm/cool contrast which is great. Nice work
@balmy drum Great effect with the masking on this! It works really well with that image, both framing wise and conceptually with the colorful flowers. I really like how you repeated some of the colors from the design into the text as well. Very nice π
@bleak fossil Thank you!
@tacit condor Solid work! I like the boost to the saturation and contrast you added on this image, just enough to give it some pop without being overpowering. The text looks great and I like the color choice of the @ symbol and how it mirrors the image. Nicely done!
@soft maple Cool effect with the background colors and texture in Day 6! I like the sort of monochromatic orange/yellow you got in the buildings and water, kind of makes it seem like an intense sunset. I think it might help to brighten the text up a bit to separate it a little more from the background and help it read at a glance. Good job π
@onyx fable Haha, always fun to see how you can apply these techniques to different images. I like how you made the colors vibrant while still keeping the values intact so it still looks realistic and plausible. Nice working on the masking, the coloration looks really clean!
@floral frigate I like the arrangement of these images, nice work compositing them all together! These are kind of nitpicks, but if you wanted to push the compositing even further I think matching the contrast between the buildings might help them fit together more. The Statue of Liberty and the building on the very left have deeper dark values. This makes sense for the Statue of Liberty since itβs closer, but the sense of atmospheric perspective between the rest of the building should be quite similar. That and matching the vertical lines of the building on the left a bit more might help it better match the perspective of the rest of the scene. Maybe something like this? I really like the cohesive blue/purple color palette as well that you got in this image, looks good!
Day 6 Challenge! I wasn't sure what to do with the background, so I just put a gradient and played around with the colors.
@crystal stream Really nice work on all these designs! Really like the graphic look of the frame challenge. I love the colors in the last design, if you wanted to punch it up even more it could be really interesting to repeat that colored gradient in the sky a bit. Not sure if that's what you'd want if you're looking for the "less is more" approach, but could be an interesting stylized look.
@weary wharf Loving the colors on this design! The boldness of them really gives the whole thing an interesting graphic stylized feel that I think works really will. I feel like some text could fit nicely at the top in the background, even masked behind the tower could be kind of cool. Well done!
Challenge #6 Pen Tool.
Here is day 6 with the graphic!
Used pix photo by Megan Markham.
Not a traditional city scape per se. Still seems to work well as a subject.
Day 6 Challenge! I wasn't sure what to do with the background, so I just put a gradient and played around with the colors.
@weary wharf love it
@surreal swift Thank you so much!

The pen tool is very new to me, I know I have a long way to go but this is the cotton candy beach that I created for today's challenge lol
Challenge 6 pen tool
@coral stone Thank you for the solutions, both very helpful! (We had a power outage in the middle of my response, you may have gotten one or two other messages from me. )
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @coral stone
@winter tinsel I like what you did with the masking in this! Adds some nice depth. Really cool effect with the coloring of the sky and the flare. Gives it a bit of a supernatural feel. I feel like the text could pop off the background a bit more, I was thinking it could look nice to have the stroke around the text be a bit lighter to contrast against the dark background. Even making it more of a light yellow could be cool to mirror the yellow from the sky. Great mood in this!
@rain dew Wow, very cool to see how much you transformed this image! I like the bold sections of color for each building, and the text color and style fits with that well. The middle section of gray seems a bit out of place, it might look good to colorize that whole section a bit. Maybe something blueish like this to contrast against the orange sky? Really great style to this image!
@sacred field This is super cool! Kind of looks like stylized 2D game are with how you broke down the shapes and colors. It could be nice to see the sky value separated from the buildings even more, but this is looking great!
I need more practice with the pen tool!
@thorny spruce cotton candy beach, I like the name, it suits well with the use of pastel colors!π
@bleak fossil thanks so much! I definitely will give the background a flip around a see how it looks. Yes, you're so right - I do need to go back in and give the masking process another go. I tried to tell myself he looks a little bit like a wild greek statue, hence the few chips out of his armpit and hands π but yes, will for sure go back in and give it another go. Thanks heaps for your suggestions!

Challenge 6, I tried using the pen tool on the foreground- it looks a little rocky. I will have to keep practicing. My hometown of Prescott, AZ

Day 1 - Play@Home - Blend Modes, kinda like the drop shadow with the slight bevel on the font and the color blend in the middle section, what you guys think? I know the color scheme between the 3 sections are not pleasing to the eye, but I am new to this.. π
Day 2 - Play@Home - Layers.. decided to add a bit of depth, looking closely you can see my selections suck.. π
Day 3 - Play@Home - Adjustment Layers
@rain dew Wow, very cool to see how much you transformed this image! I like the bold sections of color for each building, and the text color and style fits with that well. The middle section of gray seems a bit out of place, it might look good to colorize that whole section a bit. Maybe something blueish like this to contrast against the orange sky? @bleak fossil Thanks for the feedback!! Yes I kind of liked this blue, I was thinking it would be too many colors but it totally fits! I'll try it π€

Day 6 Pen tool. Seahawk colors.
I'm playing catch up at the moment. I'm being tortured by the worst online training consultant ever so I distracted myself by playing around with @reef rover's image from a couple of days ago. Trying to see how much I can do by memory before having to refer back to Kathleen's tutorials!
Challenge 6 - with suggestions of @bleak fossil also put the text at a different place

Challenge 6 Re-do. I tried everything I imagined for the background. I ended up with this. My goal was for this old mining camp to reflect the incredible rainbows of Montana. I hope you feel the background naturally works. Thank you.

@restive wyvern Nice!
Challenge #6 π
Great Color scheme on this artwork@young karma
Day 6 - Pen tool
@hollow yarrow I loved the colors and the way that you applied them to the water looks consistent and realistic, great job! π
@coral stone :Thank you for the feedback
My day1, just started, not sure where to find the day 0 video
@young karma Easiest way I have found is to go to YouTube then search for Adobe. Click on the RED one that says Adobe CC. then hit videos and look for the daily challenge ones. They are all the same color so not too hard to find.
I can not go outside to photograph any buildings and I could not find a stock photo of my town that I liked. Oh....and I really need to work on my pen tool skills.
Cool work @desert raven I like how you did the overlap. My only suggestion would be to position the text a little bit up, especially the word home so it can be more legible. π
@young karma the pink tones on the sky looks amazing! One thing you could do is to smooth a little bit this edge so it can create a subtle transitions of the colors, you can use the soft round brush with low flow or opacity so you can build the effect with more control π
@hollow yarrow I loved the colors and the way that you applied them to the water looks consistent and realistic, great job! π
Here's my finished peacock! What animal should I do next?

@uneven tide Melbourne never looked so good!!! Two comments; the coloring of the trees is too close to the coloring of the people. Its hard to discern them; The play@home is lost. Too small. Too buried.
This is my brush challenge. I used the regular soft edge brush with the blend mode dissolve to give that textured feeling. Tell me what you think π
Cheers for the feedback @eternal mica I know it looks pretty crazy! I was just having some crazy fun with it

Its a different workflow in illustrator
A necessary skill for all adobe Illustrator users. Allow Hodgepodge to show you how to create a clipping mask in Adobe Illustrator CS6/CC.
@modest kestrel That's because the top object must be a shape or a path. Put the shape/path in front of the image > select both > ctrl+7.

Nice job, I like the style of the illustration @azure barn . Maybe you could create a smooth transition among the colors from light to dark, it will add a little bit more depth to your work. Try playing and experimenting with different brushes and tones, you'll have so much fun π
@ionic maple these colors are amazing and I think I can feel the texture on my hands! You did an awesome job! π
Very creative frames @gaunt geyser . My only suggestion is that maybe you could play a little bit more with the type face, maybe playing with the scale or moving down a little bit the word Home so it won't create a tangent with the stars! β
@tender crane thank you so much for your comment - much appreciated! really like the paper-cut look you gave your challenge, that's a great idea for the peacock!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @tender crane
Good job @sturdy vault! My feedback would be to crop your image in a square so the focus could be straight to the barrels and the roof. So you can play with the type, maybe creating overlaps with the barrels using a layer mask. π
PSDCC #7 Brushes
@coral stone Thank you! I tried to make it look fuzzy. π

Great job on the shadows @tacit condor! It really creates a sense of depth on the illustration, how they touch but they don't mix. I also like the font that you used, what's the name of it? π

New to this chat and these challenges but heres my take for the day 7 #βchallenges-feedback
YOU GUYS, I finally tried my hand at a digital painting/illustration/whatever because of this challenge! I'm so excited about how it turned out - Thanks Kathleen and PS daily challenge for pushing me into trying new things! PUMPED.
Constructive criticism super welcome!
Day 6 - First time working with the pen, did not really have a color scheme plan. Are the words subtle enough even though they are right in the middle?
Challenge 7
@hearty wharf than you!
@deep rampart Oh this background looks awesome! π¦ The only suggestion I have is maybe to increase the contrast of the head and the neck so it won't blend with the feathers in the background and will look like they are closer to the viewer! Amazing job!
@ionic maple Love the texture!
@fathom holly beautiful work, the shadows and highlights are looking so great! π

challenge 7 is difficult π
My hometown when I was a kid. Pen tool was used to mask in solid and gradient colors, some painting.
@mighty linden you created a realistic piece, looks great
@modern meteor Nice Jackie! I like what you did with the colors. It could perhaps to brighten up the sky, maybe even with a slight gradient effect, and brighten up the text even further to give everything a clear read and contrast separation from each other. Nice work with all the masking!
@grand grove Wow, you killed it! Challenge 6 is looking awesome. Really great job on that effect, and I love the way you have trees and a deer on top, still reads as an arm but adds a really cool dimension to it. I feel like perhaps the darks could be boosted up just a bit in the mossy arm, especially around the lower portion to emphasize that shadow, kind of like you have around the fingers which I think look good. Awesome job on this!
@soft maple Great colors! I really like that blue/orange combination. I wonder if a subtle drop shadow on the text could make it read a bit more against the light yellow feathers. Really nice texture in this too!
@kindred kernel Really cool effect with the text Gerard! I like the bright, happy feel of this image. It might look interesting to blur the sky/clouds within the text to separate the two with a sharpness contrast, while also giving the text a sort of frosted glass effect. Of course this is totally just personal preference. Nice work!
@chilly solstice Looking good! Really interesting emboss-like effect with the texture in the Day 6 challenge. I wonder if giving each set of colors a slight gradient could add another interesting dimension of depth in this? Looks good!
@crystal dove Very cool! I grew up in San Diego, OB is a really cool area. This looks good, I like the added element of color and how that fits with the text. It could be nice to brighten up the inner portion of the text a bit to give it a bit more contrast and pop off the background. Nice job!
@azure barn Great graphic elements in that frame challenge! Really adds an interesting design element to it. These are looking good!
@night juniper Really interesting effect with the colors on this! Has a nice unified feel. It could be an interesting look to make a clipping mask for a levels adjustment on the girl to boost the dark tones just a bit, and use a soft brush to mask it out so the contrast is focused on the face a bit, if that makes sense. Maybe just something to make the face a bit stronger focal point. Just a thought, cool style to this!
@mellow crypt Challenge 7 turned out great! You did a really nice job of separating each set of feathers with value and shadow, very clear read to the whole design. Thereβs a nice cohesiveness to this color palette too.
@hollow yarrow Loving the texture on your Day 7 challenge! Thereβs a really nice paper cut out sort of feel with this as well. Great contrast, really nice compositional read to the shapes, and the masking out of the text behind the foot adds a nice element of depth. Looks great!
@mighty linden Ooh, this is really cool. I like the somewhat toned down color palette of this design. Gives it a more realistic colorized photo look. I think it might help to add a slight color to the street and sidewalk. Even just a subtle tint, (maybe cool grey for the street and warm grey for the sidewalk) could give it a bit more realism rather than them both being completely void of color. Very nice!
thank you @bleak fossil π
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
@thorny spruce Very nice Jenni! You got some nice bright contrast in this image and the texture is looking really good!
@green loom That great! Really glad you could join us, welcome in! There's definitely a lot of great effects you can get from playing around with various brushes. Really like what you did with the background, nice job!
@merry ember Nice work with the peacock image! I like what you did with the background. The dark red really helps the colors of the peacock pop, very nice!
@young karma Very cool, looking good! I like the colors you used in this, and the cast shadow on the background is a nice touch. I think blurring the shadow a touch more could give it a nice looking soft edge. Nice work with the masking off the text too, adds a bit of extra dimension!
@rain dew Nice work! Brushes can definitely make for some great textures and interesting effects when you need them. I really like the texture you got in the feather in this one, adds an interesting look. The background contrasts the cool colors of the bird nicely as well. Looks good!
@peak sentinel Ooh, really interesting look with these bold colors! Very nice work on the selection and masking of the hair, that can be really tricky and it's looking solid! The way you masked the text is a nice touch too! I do think the background behind the text could be just a taaaad darker to give the text a more clear read, but I like the general high key look of this whole design right now. Nice work π
@young karma Thank you! π @bleak fossil Thank you for the feedback! Iβll try change it up and see how that looks.

Little late at the party. Day1 Blend modes. Hopefully I can catch up 2 or 3 challenges today..... Triggering my lack of creativity! Awesome tutorials @sterile bane, for a beginner like me!
Here's my Day 7 -- I decided to change the color scheme a bit from the one @sterile bane used in the video. What do you think?
Challenge 7. I don't draw so I used one of the Adobe Coloring page.
Repeating shape with gradients and texture brushes
a little late but here's my day 7!
Challenge 7, tried turning a photograph into a drawing. Done with a mouse on my PC and I'm left handed, lol
Amazed by all the beautiful images i see here! I can't wait to get along with the tutorials. Here is my day2 (yes terribly behind) image. Not realistic, but it was fun training with the layers.
DAY 7 - I was so happy when you said we could use Fresco for this challenge which I did last night and finished this morning with PS iPad for extra detail & PS Desktop for text (UK times). π Loved using the Blending Modes.

@zinc elbow nice. I think I need to buy an iPad
My day 7. Severely limited by lack of imagination and no drawing skills what so ever!! Everyone else has created some beautiful artwork. Just amazing.
@cerulean bay Thanks. I Love my iPad
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @cerulean bay
Day 6 - I have done a natural-ish verson and a more neon verison. Whic hone shoudl I put in my Behance? #βchallenges-feedback #feedback
Original Image - I don't live in the castle btw, it is just near my house π
@calm bane Love it. π₯° Background colours really make the Phoenix pop out.
day 7! was really excited to sketch, it's my first time drawing in photoshop!
@young karma Me too! Wasn't it fun? do you have a tablet or did you draw with your mouse? I love the shadow on your drawing, so simple but so effective
Not really having sketching skills, I found Day 7 quite challenging. Ended up going with a tribute to the current season here in Australia.
And a second effort with a custom shape as a mask.
Play @ Home Day 5 - Photo Editing.. I used Camera Raw to desaturate the image then the smart layers mask was used to add back the colors...
Stars for extra depth
DAY 7 - I was so happy when you said we could use Fresco for this challenge which I did last night and finished this morning with PS iPad for extra detail & PS Desktop for text (UK times). π Loved using the Blending Modes.
@zinc elbow Great job!
Day 7 - Brush
@gaunt geyser :Well done!
Just finished the Frame Tool - Day 4, turned out okish.. π Thanks @sterile bane awesome lesson!
@young karma : I missed this yesterday... Very nice frame challenge!

THanks@bleak fossil
@paper chasm loved the colors on the ground, it creates a sunset mood, great job! π
@untold gust I like the transitions of the colors from warm to cool! My only suggestion is to adjust the contrastm (maybe a subtle different tone or shadows and highlights) of the peacock's head and neck, so it will create more depth to de scene. Very nice job π―
@bleak fossil Thanks for the input. God Bless!

@mighty linden amazing job! It looks like a painting on the wall. Loved the texture and the colors π»
@feral locust @ I like the tones you used and the overlap of the text. I can see you put a texture on the text as well, great job!
@left abyss I'm left handed too o/ I loved the transition between the shadows and highlights of the flower. My only suggestion is for the leaves, you can play with the green tones and create transitions just like you did with the flowers. π
@paper chasm These images are beautiful! My suggestions is that you can use the elliptical marquee tool to mask the black halo of the moon, since the atmosphere of the image is during the day, it will help to give a realistic look to it. Great job creating rhe overlap with the building π
#challenge#7
@calm bane Wow, GORGEOUS! The colours and textures are so beautiful and striking, you're really taking advantage of complementary colours. Did you draw the phoenix?
@fathom holly Thank you very much,It's not my design, but I made it on Illustrator

@coral stone Thanks for the feedback. But how do i use the elliptical marquee tool. I took the moon as a layer and added the outer glow to it (just to practice) but couldn't get rid of the hard edge of the moon. The halo i wanted to blend in with the background but with my lack of skills didn't know how....
Brush
Day 7 - here it is π
@light cipher :Nice work! I love the legs and the nice body shape gave with brushes. Maybe it would be a good idea to place the text behind the peacock head and bodyπ
#challenge#7
@calm bane Nice work, beautiful colors and adding depth with a brush is very successful. Well done!π
DAY 7 - I was so happy when you said we could use Fresco for this challenge which I did last night and finished this morning with PS iPad for extra detail & PS Desktop for text (UK times). π Loved using the Blending Modes.
@zinc elbow : Great job on Fresco and the final result with PS is realy top! π
@paper chasm I showed a way to get rid of hard edges on #βask-a-question π
@bleak fossil thanks! ohhh good idea! i was trying to manually soften the edges and eventually gave up! i'll go back and do that!
@fathom holly yeah! it was a lot of fun! oh dear drawing with a mouse would've been hell (imo), i use a deco pro (: thanks!! i thought your mouse was adorable <33 good job!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
challenge 7 - I love playing with textures and brushes, I'm sort of choosing different challenges now rather than doing them in order so I can focus on what I enjoy most. I like this colour palette too, I added the yellow background instinctively...then added some subtle texture.
@barren ice I think you're better than you think. Keep going...
Day 7
Day 7 Challenge: Brushes/Texture & Clipping Masks.
@hollow yarrow I love the texture in this, how did you achieve the background, just by using brushes? and blending modes? I want to play more with creating my own textured backgrounds, any tips would be great..
@untold gust I like the transitions of the colors from warm to cool! My only suggestion is to adjust the contrastm (maybe a subtle different tone or shadows and highlights) of the peacock's head and neck, so it will create more depth to de scene. Very nice job π―
Thanks, @coral stone. The front layer with the Peacock's head was the one that I revisited the least while working through the project, and I even thought about tweaking it some before exporting it up to Discord. You've given me some ideas about playing with the colors more; let's so how it turns out.
had another crack at the day 7 challenge to seperate the head from the feathers behind
@hollow yarrow Very nice. The background reminds me of the brush work that Kathleen used in the intro to the challenge, and the choice of colors on the bird makes it stand out. Did you use a brush for the colors on the Play @ Home logo, too?
@hollow yarrow I love the texture in this, how did you achieve the background, just by using brushes? and blending modes? I want to play more with creating my own textured backgrounds, any tips would be great..
@light wren : Thanks for the feeback. For the background I used several techniques: Blending modes on several "grungy" Textures (old paper, water paint ... etc) and I also used different dirty brushes (grunge, splatter ...) with different colors and blending modes ... I encourage you to try to mix several techniques and to experiment ... It is sometimes horrible but after a few mistakes we often get good results.π
Day 7 brushes I am not an illustrator in any way. But I tried.
Catching up on some things. Playing with the frame tool and duplicating layers and transformations and layer masks. Any suggestions?
@deep rampartit is great,it seems that the peacock has a magic power of thunderstorm in its feathers.what's your idea about using thunders between its feathers?
@calm bane i used the clouds to seperate the body from the feathers and give it a more 3D ish look. was giong more for a misty rainy kind of look.
challenge 6- pen tool
Catching up... Day 3 challenge. Any feedback welcome.
Catching up on challenges. Here is my Atlanta skyline for the pen tool challenge with a bit of heavy handed gradient and backdrop for your viewing pleasure!
Here's my revised version of Day 7 -- changed the saturation on the body and cleaned up some extra orange that bled past the body, plus turned the opacity of the Play @ Home logo down. I think the reds in the layer behind the body pop more now.
Hello @bleak fossil thank you for the feedback

@vague knot, love that Synthwave, 80s vibe!
Do you listen to synthwave?
@patent estuary no man
@sterile bane, I love the masking, especially the tears, and adds an organic paper feel.
@vague knot, I've preordered CyperPunk the game, but do listen to alot of Synthwave, which is a genre of music that has synths, feels nostalgia of the 80s.
Give it a listen. It helps me with my creative juices.

Gave +1 Creative Carma to @gritty dust
@modern halo I like how you added the extra layer of feathers on to the peacock. Maybe you might want to change the color on the legs so they don't blend with the background as much and add either texture or gradients to the background to make complement the bird more?
@patent estuaryman, Iβll come in now and listen, after which Iβll say

@vague knot, no problem man. Thanks for giving it a try. Art, just like music is subjective, so I do hope you enjoy it. If not, no harm.
"Influenced by video games and movie soundtracks of the 1980βs, Synthwave is the perfect blend of retro with modern sounds. Thereβs a reason for why the sounds of the 80s continue to remain relevant in pop culture and in the music scene β because sounds of the synth are unique and one of a kind. Synthwave takes all of the best aspects of the 80s aesthetic and repackages it into something entirely new and modern. Itβs as if the 80s have returned with a vengeance. Check out Synthwave today for a throwback like no other."

@sterile bane (insert here client type of tone) ummm it's nice you see... but I think it could have more orange? LOL (client off) I had a lot of fun with today's challenge, I've never done a collage in photoshop didn't know how much fun could it be π

@nova swan Would less be more?
@eternal mica too busy? I thought maybe grunging up the man's image also
I think the main idea (the man in the middle) is drowned out by peripheral images that arent really discernable or as important. See how you like a more focused overall image.
i hope likes.

Day 6 - Pen tool. This is my photo ofΒ the Seafarer's Union hall in my town. I'm not sure what the union members willΒ think about this colorful version, but I sure had fun doing it -- it was relaxing in a way. Β I'm especially fond of the copper gradient roof. It took a while to find the right image. At first I thought about Detroit's Riverwalk, but decided that closer was better.
Day 7: Add texture with brushes. I based my drawing/painting on a mouse from Pixabay. I started in Fresco and refined in desktop Photoshop . . . I'm much better with a mouse than a brush π First I made the shapes, then brushed over them with an Aaron Blaise fur brush, then I when back through and added highlights and shadows for each piece -- talk about time consuming! I added 3 Flypaper textures with Adobe Paper Texture Pro with normal, multiply and hard light blend modes and put on a vignette with the ACR filter, it still needed something more, so I grabbed a vector Swiss cheese from AdobeStock and modified it to fit the lighting on the mouse.
Day 8: Layer Styles. I'm using my own photos for these posters. I've used torn edge paper templates from AdobeStock as a base, and GraphicAuthority textures on the background layer. Using these older images again brings back good memories. I photographed those baby swans every 2-3 days from the time their mother built her nest until they moved farther back into the marshlands.I guess the parent got tired of paparazzi π . This is Holland, Michigan's Big Red Lighthouse
Mute Swans
I tried another version, following Lisa's and Jesus's suggestions... let me know what you think
Day 8
@pale grail I like the overlap you did using the tree, I'd just change the color of the Home word so it can create a little bit more contrast and be more legible π
@coral stone thanks! I was on the fence about that home color too, knew I shoulda went with my gut lol π

@daring slate very creative work, I loved it! I like the frame you made and the typeface seems to suit the composition very well! π―
@nova swan IMO, much better. Change text color of Play to stand out from background color
@plain sable as usual, beautiful
@cerulean bay I dont think the gray is a problem either. I think if you feather the outline of the circle, it will work better.
@forest aspen Dont you have anything constructive to do with your time? It seems like youre locked in your house all day with nowhere to go and nothing to do!!!! These projects must have taken forever!!! π€£ π€£ π€£ Theyre beautiful. Your mouse is adorable. Swans are great.
@forest aspen great Work in all of them... As an "I can't draw" person, the mouse one is really great I love it

I have watched the recent popular documentary, thought this one will be subjected to animal right.
@grave nova wow, super cool work! I like the collage style you made and how you cared about the details like the ears! I'd just move the word M a little bit to the left so we can see more the letter π
@young karma nice use of the rainbow colors, especially on the sun where the color transitions looks so smooth!
Photoshop Daily Challenge. Day Ate! Tigers Today
@distant dune great job! I loved how you capture all the areas, like the eye and the expressions. It creates a nice visual interest on your composition! π
just a mesh up with everything before sleeping π just fun and see how much blend mode get in
not finished but don't really know if theres a fin? but yea .. just doing something with mouse
@cerulean steppe what a beautiful work, Hawwa! I loved thou you combined the French flag colors on the photo. Maybe you can bring back the words O and M and play with the blend modes on them so they can interact with the building. Amazing job π
@deep rampart I like the fashion style of your work, super cool! The subject image seems a little bit stretched horizontally, maybe you could keep the proportions so it will feel more natural π
Challenge 7: Kyle's Brushes are amazing, got lost playing with them, and barely scratched the surface.
Oh @hearty wharf I Loved your dog (I have three
haha) and how you created the abstract background. Awesome work as always!
Cool work @green loom! π I liked that you combined the images with the illustration. I'd just position the model a little bit up so her feet can fit the frame! If you want to give a special touch you can apply a subtle texture to the background, behind the text π
Nice edits @calm jay! Since there's a little bit of white behind the text, you can create depth applying a subtle drop shadow on the text, it give a little bit more contrast without blending with the background π
Beautiful background @tropic haven I also like the font choice with the rough edges π
Awesome job @sacred field! I liked the texts' positions and how you made the hierarchy with it. I'd buy this issue π
@young karma nice job creating a dark mood to your composition! The stroke creates a cool contrast to the background! π
@vernal ice I could spend hours playing with the brushes haha π The palm leaves look so nice! I also liked how you made the grass interact with the palm trunks π΄
wow...you take a lot of time for feedback great
..couldn't sleep yet so i made a brighter funversion with more of this cutting thing π and..more blend ^^.. think this is an neverending story
Super late but this the Adjustment Layers challenge
#brushes #clippingmasks #tomandjerry
A bit late, but took me rather half of the day. (on and off, between being husband, dad, worker) A lot of clipping masks, and adjustments layers via curves for the kitty. I used some of the default brushes to create the strands and details on the cat's body, and it is easier with a wacom tablet.
@coral stone Thank you! Palm leaves-Kyleβs Halftone Diagonal Left with Wood Wave Vert highlights. Thought about this later- using the diagonal left and right-duh!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @coral stone
Here it is on just a black background, with another layer of the cat on high pass filter, faded, on hard light @100%.
Had fun with the layers today
Day 6. Wanted to do more with the stairs and tried to invert the mask I used for the building, but that didn't seem to work hmm
Challenge 7. Peacock. This is not as easy as it looks. At least not for me. I am having alot of fun getting familiar with these tools. Thank you!! Sure do appreciate this opportunity!!
@potent gazelle I highly suggest you start using pictures without watermarks, they really ruin the mood of the picture also it doesn't look bad
@patent estuary nice work maybe add some colors to the cat and the white background
@narrow forge Thanks! Yeah agree, been finding other pics for most other challenges.. just didn't have time for this one so used the one in the starter file
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @narrow forge
OOF okay, I totally re-did my collage. Lisa and Jesus' critique was basically have a proper colour scheme and get it to "read" better (ie more of a visual hierarchy), so that's what I worked on here. Thoughts?
@fathom holly I like it. The "tears" create directional movement for the eyes, and having the contrast of the orange brings it back to the center of the subject. Doesn't feel unbalanced to me.
@narrow forge, thanks man. When I sourced the image, I did my best to replicate the white cat, and was so focused on the process of it, color was the last thing that crossed my mine.

day eight! small cats have the spirits of lions!
@winter tinsel i really like the dark spiritual vibe you gave it! it looks really deep and mysterious - i love how you used ancient text to do that! i do think that a couple of the pieces could be moved to energize that effect, all of them are kind of down the right, a couple could be diagonal and under the tiger as well! it looks great, i like it a lot!
I already posted something for today's DCC, but I started over. I like this one much better.
@eternal mica Your skills are improving at a really quick rate. Good job!
@tacit condor Reallly like your choice in colours. Well done.
@pliant geyser Thank you so much. It means a lot to me, coming from you. Starting a second project helped me. It gave me a chance to take a step back and visualize what I wanted to do. If this lockdown goes on for another 6 or 7 months, I might get good at this!!!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @pliant geyser
@eternal mica Like I said, you're getting better at every challenge. Keep up the good work, and if things start going somewhat sideways, don't hesitate to throw it all out and start again. One of the joys of a digital work flow!!!
@sacred field as always, your work is awesome
@tacit condor Thank you. Much appreciated
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @tacit condor
@pliant geyser Thats good advice. It takes me longer than most, since I need to rewatch the videos slowly so as not to miss any steps. As Im absorbing more on the first pass, its taking me less time to complete a project.
My first time on photoshop since last year, so good to do some again! Let me know what I can change to improve myself. Thanks!

challenge 8
@feral locust The tiger contrasts really nicely texture and color wise with the background! I like the big shape of it, gives the design a strong read. The text looks good too!
@fathom holly Ooh, really interesting contrast and tones in this one! I really like the emphasis on the diagonal lines of the paper, gives it an interesting dramatic feel. I like the llamaβs eye popping over the seam too, hah. Very cool!
@odd spear Really cool! I like all the different tiger elements you added in this! Nice use of overlapping shapes, good job π
@honest glade Oooh, this looks great! Excellent masking, really nice simple color orange/blue color scheme, and the masking of the text adds a nice touch of depth. Really well done!
@granite current Ooooh, really cool. Great job masking all these collating them together! I like the cohesive colors scheme here! One suggestion is oftentimes it can be nice to get some visual hierarchy in a design with a lot of elements like this. Trying to have a primary, secondary, and tertiary read in terms of what is the biggest and has the most contrast can give a design a nice focal point and readability. Looks good!
@tender crane Thatβs great! I really love the colors in this image, thereβs a really nice harmony to them. Iβm also always a fan of a good orange/blue color scheme, hah. The other images collages in the paper strips look good too, nicely done!
@young karma Awesome! I just saw that movie a couple weeks ago, very cool. I really like the way you used this paper effect for this design, looks really official π Nice job with the arrangement of the images as well, I like how the center makes for a nice focal point!
@worn yew This is great! I love the contrast, both conceptually and color wise. The image of the iceberg somehow fits in really naturally with the image in the way you placed it. The diagonal placement adds a lot of interest and gives the image a nice visual balance. Looks awesome!
@left abyss I really like the contrast and colors in your Day 8 challenge! Really nice composition and arrangement in this. I like how thereβs a nice visual hierarchy in the in the photo elements with the one on the right being the focal point. Nice job with the masking of the text too!
@carmine fern Awesome, welcome back to the wide world of Photoshop, hah. I really like how you kept the color on the tiger only, really makes for a powerful focal point. Mirroring that color in the text looks really good too. I like the diagonals and deep contrast of the black and white background. Makes for a dramatic look without overpowering the tiger. Very nice!
@stable ravine Looking good! I like the bright colors and feel of this Challenge 8 design! The paper strips and drop shadow look really nice! I feel like the cast shadow behind the paper could be a touch softer, but that's a minor note. Nice work π
@hollow yarrow Very cool! I love the color shift between the layers, and the dramatic diagonal positioning of it across the center of the face. The multiple layers of paper is also a really cool effect. This makes me think of some real life drama documentary that you might see on Netflix or something, hah. Very well done!
@young karma Really cool work with the colors on the Challenge 6 design! Almost makes the streets look like a neon river or something, hah. This is totally just personal preference, but I wonder if the flow of the image might seem more natural if the streets gradient were reversed with the darker part being further back, and the bright pink part being in the image's foreground. Just a thought. The peacock image is looking really nice too, good job!
@mellow crypt Very cool masking! I really like the diagonal zig zag shape of the tears, gives a really interesting balance between the two images, and frames the tiger head in a really interesting way. I really like how you used to contrast to focus the eye on the orange tiger head image. Solid work!
@twilit shore Hah, very cool! Nice job on the shadows on the curls of torn paper. Could even be cool to see a claw shaped tear in the image too. I like the bits of cast shadow you added on this, nice work!
@eternal mica That's great Ted! I feel like a second go at new challenges always goes a lot smoother. Really nice work at the layering of these images, the cast shadow and overlapping shapes adds some nice depth. Looks good!
@young karma Aww, cute. I like the concept of this design. I like the warm color scheme too! I'm not sure if you've used the refine edge tool within the Quick selection tool, but I feel like it could make the edge of the little cat even more soft and natural looking. Though honestly it looks quite good right now. Nice work with the overlapping shapes too! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2I7X92IVGk
@vague swift Nice job with the torn paper effect! The little cast shadow works really well to add some depth without being too intense. Really loving that background pattern too, adds some nice interesting while keeping the contrast low as to not be too overpowering. Love the little cat jumping at the tail in the background too XD

Day 8 Layer Styles/ Collage
@tender crane Thatβs great! I really love the colors in this image, thereβs a really nice harmony to them. Iβm also always a fan of a good orange/blue color scheme, hah. The other images collages in the paper strips look good too, nicely done!
@bleak fossil Thank you so much! π
Decided to give this challenge a shot π Day 8 - Layer Styles (Paper Tear) π―
Day 8 challenge - torn paper. Hi everyone, this is my first day on this app/system. I chose to rip up my own paper and use some photos i had. When i finished it looked nothing like the challenge. I will do another and try placing textured paper clipped to each piece of torn paper and let it rim the photos. I am also having difficulty getting the photos to look on screen like they did in my app. They are much darker. Are we supposed to use the stock photos or can we use our own. A little late to ask for this challenge. π

@hollow yarrow I love the masking in the paper tears. The red lipstick contrasting with the overall consistency of the shading in the rest of the image is really powerful
Amazing work @sterile bane

Is there a way to resize the clipping mask? Could not get rid of that triangle over his left shoulder.
@crystal stream select layer below the clipped one (below the one with the arrow) > ctrl + T and adjust the handles to resize
@twilit shore This is one of my favorites. Really interesting concept and execution. Your logo is really cool also.
I can't draw but I wanted to try to do it on photoshop with my mouse so I re create the illustration of @sterile bane and added some texture π
@tardy ridge super cool. I love it. Comment: I like your logo type style. But the logo type color doesnt stand out . perhaps a different shade?
@cerulean bay Youre welcome. I think that looks better. I would still try to feather the moon to soften up the edge a bit. Also, Jesus taught a technique a few weeks ago using the Transform>warp tool to round the edge of an object. Check that out. It was in the lesson called Patterns.

Day 8 - Layer Styles... π
Day 5, used a photo from close to where i live in the Netherlands. What I couldn't find in camera Raw was the tool which recognizes and fixes the lens used. I did find Lens correction, but nothing like Lightroom. Is that option there?

@bleak fossil Thank you for the shout out. Youve been a fantastic aid to me. I enjoy seeing your comments on everyone else's work. Theyre so instructive. Ive learned as much from the Ps team's comments in here as I have in DCC tutorials. (Well, not really. But you get the point.)

@fading peak, never too late, and I enjoy reading about your process of going the extra and creating your own torn rip paper! Kudos to that. Have you tried crumbling up some of the paper, so you can get that added extra texture from the folds and crumbling?
Day 8 - Layer Styles @sterile bane I used some images that you gave us last year doing a collage challenge
Revised. Day 3. @bleak fossil Well, Thank you for the advice!! I can see the difference now. The face is more on focus. I did masking of face separately and applied Gradient map. Then used soft brush to mask out the dark tones. I hope this is what you were suggesting, but, I may have done completely opposite of what you had said. π

@odd gull that's a great style for dogs, I loved the sunglasses they are wearing, I'll buy some for mine haha. My consideration is just on the text, maybe you can play with the scale and position preserving the legibility and showing the rest of the words. You can also create cool overlaps with it like you did with the papers π You did a great job!
@night juniper these colors are great! I like the way they create a mood with the frames you used! Super cool!

@young karma these colors of the background are amazing! They really give the African Vibes you mentioned, great job!
@paper chasm Excellent job on Day 4 project. I really love the color tones you chose and the symetricality works very well. (I made that word up, lol)
@obtuse topaz the cyan tone in the background looks amazing! I like the way it contrats to the tiger, especially in the eyes! Well done!
@twilit shore I think symetricallity is 2 "L"s!!! (I'm a stickler for words and grammar. I was all set to Google "symetricallity".) π π π
@eternal mica The neon splash you used in your challenge number 4 (I believe it was 4), works really well and I like how you made the diamond shapes appear on top of each other instead of just lined up on the same plane.

@ionic maple I loved the fashion style of your day 9! Very nice. You made a great challenge π
@kindred kernel Good job combining Day 8 and Day 9, very creative! I like how you added a fade transition in the layer mas on the letter A, it creates a nice sense of depth to the image.
@fathom holly I feel like I took my 3D glasses off π haha. The 3D effect created an interesting mood to your work, super cool!

@spiral shadow I like that dark mood you created with the image, feels so mysterious!
@pale grail - The 3D effect on the pillars going to the vanishing point looks pretty cool, amazing job!
@barren ice - Well done! You chose a very nice image to play with, it seems to match to the effect! My only suggestion is that you could play a little bit more with the text, maybe position it a little bit to the center (on the wall) and change the color to a brighter tone, it will increase the contrast and create a focal point! π
@azure barn wow Fancy! he wore a suit to work in home office haha, great work! π―
@odd spear Cool style, feels like an album cover! Well done π

@narrow forge are you going to use some kind of blending mode? I think it might look better, cause it will take the shapes from the clothing... I like all the colours π

Day 9: Thanks @sterile bane for all your instruction. It's been a fun 2 weeks π Go Bearcats!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @sterile bane
@floral frigate what a beautiful photo! I loved the feathers that are frames for another images, and the way you made it subtle really created a great balance for the composition! Maybe you could apply the 3D effect especially on the B&W photo. Nice job π
@proper fiber nice photo editing, I like you brightened the dark areas recovering some details. Seems like the text is blending a little bit with the background, you can adjust this, by creating a subtle drop shadow (with the text layer selected, go to the little fx icon on your layers panel, then choose Drop Shadow. You can play with the sliders as much as you want) π
@sacred field hilarious asset for day 9!!!! Are we looking at them in 3D or are they looking at us??
@eternal mica I think we're looking at them without our glasses on! π
@livid jewel Youre really good. A very nice portfolio of work for the 10 days. Thanks for sharing

What is it about being a smart object that makes this work? I forgot the smart object conversion initially and wasted some time trying to get the effect.
Sometimes you just have to have fun and laugh. Enjoyed learning about using frames.
too plain? I had a lot of fun and learned a lot during this challengeβΊοΈ
@bleak fossil thank you!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
@grim mantle the smart object technique is a non destructively way to merge the photo and the B&W adjustment layers, so the blending options can affect just one layer as a whole π
@vernal ice both of them looks great, I like the saturated colors of the second option and the color combination of the first one. Why not put both on behance? π
@tacit condor nice image and overlaps! I like that you applied blur on the "@". Great job!

@daring slate Great idea to go with Diagonal! Simple but so efficient π
Last day - 3 D glasses look. Still can't understand why it looks so dark in the feed but when you click on original image it looks like it is supposed to look. I see others images and they look the same in the feed as they do in the original image look. I am saving it in JPEG. Is there a better format to save it in for this feed? My second day here and i seem to have more questions than answers. I am very grateful to have discovered this during the hide out in your home time. PS I was very surprised to see chorus girls wandering up and down the Las Vegas strip near naked. And you should see the photo of the man i snapped. Wow!
@azure barn Very nice Phil! The 3D glasses effect is looking good. There's a nice balance between the photo and the colored effect, nice work!
@fading peak Very cool Izzy! I like the drama of the contrast in this image. I think the thumbnail and the full size version look basically the same to me. Though I think I know what you mean, I've seen images that look a little different in the thumbnail vs full version, but I'm not sure if that was due to those particular images having a very intricate texture. I like the deep contrast of this, but perhaps giving the brights a bit of a boost with a levels adjustment might look nice. I think the pop of color suits this image well!
@hollow yarrow Ooh, I love the sort of glitch effect combined with this 3D glasses effect! It suits this challenge really nicely. The black and white image gives this a sort of vintage feel and the pop of color gives it some nice interest. Very cool!
@lime meadow Ooh, really liking the colors on this and how the text works with the sunset sky! Really nice working masking the colors on the buildings. I think it might look nice to give the color sections of the building a slight gradient. Perhaps making the top portion a little bit brighter and a little bit warmer in color. Might look a little more natural and add a sense of depth to the colored building. Just a thought, really nice job!
@tropic knoll Awesome, glad you could join us again CK! Your day 9 challenge is looking really good, you nailed the effect nicely!
@green loom That's great to hear, glad you could join us! This is a really interesting image to try this effect on. I like how it affects the mural on the wall and creates all the vertical strips of color with the edges of the buildings. Awesome job, keep it up!
@vague swift Challenge 9 is looking great! I really like how well this effect works with the dramatic contrast of this image. Really awesome effect with how it works as a reflection in the wet pavement. Kind of reminded me of Sin City at first. Nice work π
@vernal ice This is really cool! I like how the effect is most prominent on the singer which helps to reinforce him as the focal point. I think the text could either be a bit brighter, or a bit thicker/heavier. Either one would help it to read a bit stronger. If you make it brighter it could be nice to select the light area of the hazy background which could fit well. Looks good!
@sand patrol Very cool! The weekend is always a great time for that. The Day 9 challenge effect is looking really nice! I like the soft tones of this, but I think a bit of a levels adjustment to boost the lights a bit to make flower pop a bit more could look nice. Though that's really just personal preference. Nicely done π
@merry ember Really nice torn paper effect! Almost makes me think of paper mache or tape. I really like the tiger in the middle, but I think it might help if you separated it from the background in some way, either way a hue contrast or value contrast since the tiger and the background appear to be the same color and brightness. Maybe keeping more of its original orange color would help, or increasing the contrast so it's a bit darker than the background. It also might look nice to give the text a subtle drop shadow to pop it off the white paper background on the word "play". Really nice work with the masking here, the overlapping shapes add some nice depth!
@fathom sail Glad to hear it! I think Challenge 9 is looking really nice, I like the way you added a texture using the color from the 3D effect. I don't think it's too plain, though I think getting a bit of that offset color effect on her left side too might help give her a little more color and pop off the background. Nice job!
@modern halo Very cool Willi! This is a really interesting image to use for this effect due to all the vertical and horizontal lines and details. I really like how that's apparent on all the bars but the effect is still more intense on the person, that really helps keep focus on him. Really nice work, this turned out well!
@twilit shore Ahh that's great! The claw mark looks really cool, I like that addition!
@night juniper Hah, no, that looks good! I feel like the added contrast definitely helps draw the eye. π
Thanks a lot @fathom holly and @eternal mica ! Really glad they help and happy to hear that π

@heady nimbus Personally I like the colours of the peackok, maybe it can be better with another background? maybe on the blue area?

@uneven flume The VHS and 3D effect combination works super well on your photo. I also like the Play text and icon on the top right. Reminds me of my family's birthday VHS tapes. Super well done! π―
Thanks @sterile bane for the challenges for the 2 weeks learnt a trick or 2 i didn't know about. Done something different with layer styles. used the pen tool to remove the steak from the plate it was on and replaced it with the wood background.

Follow the Yellow Brick Road!
@calm jay Love the palette, the sky gradient is amazing and fits nicely with the colours of the bridge. What would happen if you moved the Play @ Home text so that it fits around the 3 buildings nestled together? Or placed it just under the bridge's top deck thing?

Hello
@bleak fossil Thank you!!
@sterile bane Thank you for this DCC! Like everyone else, I canβt pick a favorite challenge, they all have beautiful results. The reason itβs hard to pick, is because we learned so much. On each one there was an ah-ha, thatβs what that means/does/is way easier with this advice kinda moment. Love that you end with an easy one, canβt wait to do so many edits. Thanks again!
