@rich hamlet well done 😄
thank you 😄
Here is my Map.
@jolly quest day 6 . thanks in advance for your feedback!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to VooDoo_Val
@trail rose OH NICE!! This is super great! I love the icons you chose for the points of interest on the map! I think that you could improve the overall look of the piece if you chose either highly detailed icons OR simpler lined icons. the peacock and the dragon are very stylized, but they don't match with the aesthetic of the building and the witch. if you replaced one pair with icons that matched the other pair better, the map design would flow more! Also, I say experiment with the different size settings of your dotted line brush. You made a wonderful path through your map, but if you lowered your brush size a little bit, it would give those dashes a little more room to breath around the curves!
making the path much smoother as it twists and turns
well done! @trail rose I love it!
Also everyone, 10 points awarded to your favorite Hogwartz house for every puppet warp entry that makes us all laugh!! LOL
@jolly quest thanks a lot for you feedback!!!!! , it was hard to find matching icons!! I will search for more accurate ones. I´ll try redoing the path!!!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to VooDoo_Val
Day06: Out of ideas haha 😅
Day 7 Puppet Warp Tool
@trail rose a great alternative would be to find some images you like and use the pen tool to create your own versions of them! Then everything would match!
Ha! I like the routine map concept @pale lichen! While the footsteps technically make sense, it might be nice visually to pair down the business of the footsteps a bit, maybe by removing some of the tracks. 👍
@fast moth nice job!
@fast moth YESSSSSSSSS
@pale lichen great work! I do agree with @uncut ginkgo Maybe a cool thing to do, if you’re into games/RPGS is add a few characters avatar icons to the top with colored boarders corresponding to to the colors of the footsteps to indicate the path of several different players!! Could be fun!
Maybe put the footsteps on a blending mode to blend them in with the paper more smoothly. Well done!
@wind viper woah excellent map!! Did you sketch those icons yourself! This whole vibe is great. I can totally picture a treasure hunter in a tavern somewhere, scrawling this map down on parchment with a bit of fireplace coals. LOVE IT!
Thank you @jolly quest yup! I wanted it to have a hand-drawn little bit messy vibe from an old map
Gave +1 Creative Carma to VooDoo_Val
Hey! What do you think - should I make the background lighter?
😃
Day 7 - Smoochie's secret weapon!
😃
@fallow bough Amazing!
day 6 :: following @jolly quest suggestions 😅
@wet thistle those mountains!! I’m loving the unique style of them!!
@trail rose excellent work!! Love the changes you made!
So much fun!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to Valka
Thank you @jolly quest, I learned a lot!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to VooDoo_Val
@hexed tree Thanks. Placed axe strategically to allow full buff but decided it wasn't the best idea.
Surprisingly, n_de is a restricted word in Discord so had to rewrite.
Hi guys. The Adobe Live screening led me here. Great work. Really fun seeing your various takes on the challenge...
Did more work on Puppet Warp. and added perspective to axe.
here is my Puppet masterpiece. Very fun tool!
@jolly quest thanks! i had some time today. that Puppet tool is tricky but very cool to use.
Gave +1 Creative Carma to VooDoo_Val
@jolly quest thanks a lot!!! you are a great teacher!!!!💯
Gave +1 Creative Carma to VooDoo_Val
Combining most of this project into one place 😃
A little behind, Day 6
Map paper was created using distressed metal texture and overlay of color. A rough textured brush was used to paint the edge, which was then deleted.
Brushes created:
Dragon- Created using curved pen tool
Dragon Tree Trunk – rasterized rectangles, then Filter with liquid to move to shapes needed
Leaves – Layers of curved pen tool
Steps – rectangle marquee tool, paint bucket
Waves – curved pen tool
Other objects were created with shapes, letter A, brushes and combined to make the Red Moon, Compass, Scene.
Hello everyone. Seems like a have a crush on ducks. No more time today so I had to leave it like this 🙂
a little bit behind but here my Coat of Arms Flag!
original drawing was
I tried to used the distort setting but I barely see any difference! 🤔
@wicked nexus you can actually do the distort filter more than once!!
@jolly quest I did it 2 times but when I did a third it look really bad Im so affraid 😿
Try editing the displacement map again! Remember when I blurred it and used the level to make it more or less dramatic?
Issue might be the values there
what do you think?
Day 6 Challenge...I'm falling behind
My entry for Challenge#5 (Texture & Patterns) 😅
PsDCC7 - My pitiful silhouetted puppet warp woman. LOL.
@thorn geyser loving the dinosaur.
@young karma nice!
@young karma Don't give up. Just take a break.
@nova swan I love your penguin!
@cold cedar Nicely done! I like the silhouette look 😄 The new position looks pretty natural and the added shapes are fun too 👍 well done! Now you just have to add a cool background 😉
@glacial path I considered a background. So, why not. I'll try to get to it today.
@knotty cosmos aw! that's really cute 😄
Try adding some highlights and shadows:
something like this
(you can do a better job than me since you still have all the layers)
@nova swan you can do it! Keep crunching those challenges 😄
@nova swan I like the density of all the icons and drawings 😃 They are a bit too dark in my opinion. try lowering the opacity of the black shapes to make it look more real 👍
Thanks a lot @glacial path I will try to make shadows and highlights 😃
Gave +1 Creative Carma to evil
@knotty cosmos look for "Dodge and burn" tutorials on youtube if you're stuck 😃
they normally use the technique for skin retouching but it totally works for this challenge
OK thanks 👍
@nova swan to take your design to the next level, combine your work with challenge #3 (the displacement map)
@wicked nexus I love it! I think you can increase the displacement amount a bit 😃 The colors look great! Feel free to try out different blending modes to see if some of them look even better - sometimes "Color" or "Hue" work better than no blending mode
@wicked nexus oh... nevermind - just saw the updated version 😅
@young karma Make sure to use a high resolution image for the background - it looks pretty blurry 😃
you could also take a closer look at the grass again. If you like, you can take a real photo of a grassy hill and remove the background
Gave +1 Creative Carma to dee421
thank you for the animated version 😄 @viral ibex - I think the background is a bit too busy. I would remove the noise and keep it monochromatic
@thorn geyser I would remove the drop shadow since the sun is shining from behind the dinosaur 😃
Photoshop Daily Creative Challenge #03 - Tools & Filters
Photoshop Daily Creative Challenge #03 - Tools & Filters
Day 6 - There is my map with brushes
@urban berry Super cool! Love the tree in the blade.
A little Shadow work and background for PsDCC7 Puppet Warp. Accidentally posted in design other but meant to post it here. Not enough coffee today.
@urban berry that's such a pretty sword
My map!! I am catching up.
Stupid question, but where I can see the challenges?
Or what you have to done current challenge
Gave +1 Creative Carma to VooDoo_Val
@uncut ginkgo , @jolly quest Thank you for comments, I'm not in games business, alas... just a freelancer... tried to improve the map a little bit - is it clear to attach the colour of tracks to the colour of the hair?... Moving on to the next challenge 😃
@glacial path Thanks for suggesting the dodge and burn tools to make the shadows and highlights it was very helpful 😀 😀 would appreciate your feedback on this edit 😃
Gave +1 Creative Carma to evil
@pale lichen Super cool 😄
Puppet Warp Tool - Second Try - I'm carried away... and I really will be away till Monday 🙂 - will finish DCC later :):innocent:
Cool @pale lichen !! Can't wait to see the 3rd try 😉
Fantasy Adventure Map - relooking at it now I think the river should be narrower.
@tulip fern - the third try...
Awesome!! @pale lichen Thanks 🙂
Gave +1 Creative Carma to Darius
Photoshop Daily Creative Challenge #04 - Photo Compositing
I am quite pleased with this. I am quite new to doing actual 'arty' stuff in Photoshop and am learning tons of cool new things! I used images from many sources and modifed them. Used 'color burn' a lot to get that bleeding old ink effect which I found by accident. 😀
Day 7. Warp speed......
HI @jolly quest!!!! is the ball placed Correctly? day 7
@trail rose I would say its placed well, yes! You could even do another one where she has kicked the ball and add some motion blur to the ball like I mentioned in the stream!!
thanks! how is the motion blur? did not find it
If you make your girl look like she is kicking the ball with puppet warp, then move the ball to look like its in the air. Then go to Filters>Blur>MotionBlur and you can add more or less blur to the ball AND change the direction of the blur. It will make it look like the ball is flying away!
thanks!!!! @jolly quest !!!!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to VooDoo_Val
OR you could add motion blur to her leg in the image you already made, so its like her leg is moving back to prepare to kick the ball!
My pleasure!
thank you for participating! @trail rose
Gave +1 Creative Carma to A. MARIE
@gloomy flare and Mary will be reviewing user submitted portfolios on Adobe Live in 1.5 hours! If you want a chance to have yours reviewed submit it here: https://forms.gle/nhb7NqRMLPMp9j9L8 and watch the livestream here: https://www.behance.net/live/adobelive
Mary is a brand specialist and graphic designer so we're looking for portfolios that focus on these creative fields!
feels like she just died and going up to heaven but well, I tried. 😬 😅
@jolly quest I did this gif with some images of my portfolio.
@trail rose EXCELLENT!!
@wind viper caption😅
@jolly quest thanks again!!!!

Level Up! @jolly quest
😃
Day 7 Challenge - Warp tool . Included elements from past days work 😉
Distressed the map to make it look more original better #Tim Möbest ?
Quick wine glass animation. 🙂
I want helpppp
My XP Bar! 🎮
@frozen junco Nice one 🙂 I was also thinking about doing something with a glass, but then emptying it 😉 Good to have yours as an inspiration! Thanks 🙂
Gave +1 Creative Carma to tlkativ
Thanks @tulip fern !
Gave +1 Creative Carma to unicaNL
Day 8 Level Up
So glad to finally learn how to do this, thanks @jolly quest
Gave +1 Creative Carma to VooDoo_Val
I thought I'd play around a bit with a simple character that I came up with for today's Timeline Animation challenge 😀
Decided I needed bottomless glass of wine to prepare for my quest.
Slight mod. Very thirsty wizard.
Enjoyed this, even though line drawing out the Earth took a while, I like how it turned out 😃
Challange #7
challenge 7 done! 😄 i added the some items from preview challenges to complement...
Day 8 - Level up
@hexed tree I love the shadow you applied. It really adds depth to your work. Very creative 👏🏻
@coral stone Thank you 🙂
Gave +1 Creative Carma to Valdair Leonardo
lol! that's a super cute idea @tacit idol 😄 I think you could use a slightly darker background though 👍 Well done!
@short mica I like how you took the prompt in differet direction (literally)! I would swap the white stripe with the dark blue one though 🙂
challenge #8 😊
Daily Challenge #8
@glacial path Thanks... why would the darker color be more effective?
Gave +1 Creative Carma to evil
@short mica light usually shines from the upper left corner - at least in UI design 🙂
👌
@uncut valley I'm really impressed with this idea! great execution!
Thanks man, I wanna play more with the animation maker 🙂 @glacial path
Gave +1 Creative Carma to evil
PsDCC8 Timeline Animation.
@fallow bough If only the wine was coffee — with cognac.
@cold cedar Ooh, very nice! Loading speed looks good, nice steady animation. Nice job!
@nova swan Cool texture you got going on this! Maybe reverse the animation so it looks like it’s loading from left to right rather than right to left?
@rich hamlet Clever use of challenge 8, I like it! Maybe give the first frames a bit more of that pink color like the last frame has? Might sell the idea of the glass being partially full, and mimic the look of a loading bar a bit more. Nice work!
@tacit idol Hah, really nice idea with that one! It's always great to see how people interpret each challenge. Looking good!
@short mica I like the colors you got in this one! It kinda looks like the bar is punching out the right side of the background, hah.
Day 8 - Timeline Animation using camera imagery🙂
@blazing quail I like the sort of red fanned effect your bar gets, very interesting! Really nice work with the smiley face too, cool idea!
@rich hamlet#008 Challenge 7 is looking great, always cool too see multiple challenges put together. Nice work!
@hexed tree Another cool interpretation of this challenge! Nice work. Reminds me of the plane/map shots from Indiana Jones. I doubt you want to redo it but it might get that classic effect a bit more with a thinner line. Either way nice work!
@fallow bough Wow, great work Ken! Really cool idea, and really great execution with the smooth filling and clean masking of the wine glass. Very well done!
@deep mango Very cool! Really nice job, it definitely looks like the head is turning, and I really like the delayed smile at the end, adds a lot of character!
@uncut valley Very nice, really liking the fire animation idea! It almost looks like it could be some kind of liquid splashing around too. Nicely done!
@fast moth Looking good Camilo! I’m liking the look over the loading bar, the gradient gives it a cool reflected look.
@thorn geyser Nice work on the animation, looking good! Nice touch on the text as well, I like the color flash :D
@frozen junco Nice work on this one! The ellipse on the wine is looking good and the text is a nice touch!
@nova swan Very nice job, really liking the texture you used! Really adds to that parchment map feeling. Great work on all the little symbols and graphics!
@plush osprey Ooh, very cool, really nice job on the whole image! The bear looks great, really dramatic feel with the dark shadows. It might help to soften the edges of the bear’s fur, give the guy on the left a gradient to make the lighting fit a bit more, and maybe lessen the contrast of the bird to push it back in space a bit. Just a few things that might unify the image a bit more. Here’s a quick example. Pretty subtle stuff but I think it helps.
@bleak fossil Thanks!

Gif - timeline animation
Hellow!
I like the dynamic move you got going @young karma !
I was falling a bit behind. Therefor I combined day 7 and 8.
Super late but here is my Challenge 1 Avatar Icon. Kratos was one of my favorite characters so why not make myself into kratos for this challenge lol
here is the originals
😀 🙂 😐 🙁 😣 😖
Puppet Tool Challenge, also undertook Challenge 1 whilst underway.
@wind viper that is amazing!!!! Not only is the characters expressions amazing but you even fade the progress bar color as it moves up and down!!! Amazing!!!
@hearty karma excellent! I love Kratos too! I’d love to see you add a background, even if you just put a landscape screenshot from the new game behind you!
@young karma that progress bar is so unique!!! The movement is excellent. What inspired you to animate it this way?
@jolly quest aww Thanks! It's just inspiring to see everyone's work! ❤
Gave +1 Creative Carma to VooDoo_Val
@wind viper awesome work!
@glacial path , thank u for the feedback!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to evil
Thank you @young karma
Gave +1 Creative Carma to Kathleen
hey guys! I'm super late to the challenges, but here's my attempt at day 1. Not sure if this is cheating, but I used different blending modes to help with the shadows and highlights because I wasn't sure how to use the brush tool to paint them.
this is the original photo
added the extra pink ...its 10X better 😄 😊
Very cool @rich hamlet! Great job
Thank´s @coral stone 😁
:😆 😆
i turned a normal character to a machine eating beast
im @young karma ^ just on my bros account
So I completed it on time😅 Any Suggestions?

Thank you @cold cedar ! The funny thing is that the circles is an image I took from a glass of tea on my desk. In other words: Photoshop is great and magical 😃

#psdailychallenge
day 7 another version , using puppet warp.
Finally I've got some time to join one challenge. This little cute word clippy version is floating so happy in it's new background. I'm just amazed about how COOL this background effects get when I animate it in the timeline on photoshop. With just a simple rotation it moved all crazy haha. Hope you like, any feedback will be welcome. :3
@viral ibex I loved the way you animated the cat haha
That's cute @mild furnace 😍
Revised my flag with better fabric choice and perhaps better manipulations but it just looks odd. PsDCC3 tools, filters, displacement. Suggestions and comments appreciated.
@mild furnace Yes, I like Clippy. Nice background, too.
Hello everyone, here is my Day 5 challenge, any feedback is appreciated.
couldn't finish the whole challenge,but i've watched it all. Thank you @jolly quest
Gave +1 Creative Carma to VooDoo_Val
Day 8 challenge - got a bit carried away and forgot to practice the Mixer Brush - tried for the text but disappeared into the background. I needed the background to hide the spots in the hamburger that didn't meet up properly LOL.
Day 8 - Still learning 😀
I'm ready! Let's go.
Final Challenge - Treasure - Gold
@jolly quest Thank you VooDoo, I'm glad it works, I guess I just wanted to wander off strait lines 😊

Yes! Ready to fill up those empty spaces 🙂
Still playing catch-up. Here is my map from day 6! From the mage tower to the castle, via the town and farm to get some adventuring supplies! 😀
Day 9 - Epic Loot
@urban berry nice colors selection in pigon need little focuse on foots too
@pulsar walrus Thanks for the feedback.
Gave +1 Creative Carma to shahid kazmi
@thorn geyser Very cool! Day 9 is looking really good. I like the patterning on the inside, almost sort of looks like it's glowing. I think you could push that look a little more and make it pop by using a masked levels adjustment layer or a color dodge layer. Would give it a little more contrast and push that glowing effect. here's a quick example.
@urban berry Very nice work on this Day 5 challenge, Cindy! The transition between the different textures is nice and gradual and believable, and the whole bird has a nice sense of form with the shadow around the underside. If I had to nitpick maybe there could be a bit more of that shadow on the front side of the neck/chin? Really liking the texture/color change between the head and body!
@knotty cosmos Awesome work, really liking that color and the back glow you have going. The back glow looks really good with that center glowing area of the gem, unifies the image nicely. Really nice background textures too!
@thorn geyser Nice job with the map for Day 6! Your graphics have a really nice consistent style and the sort of canvas texture works really nicely. The green of the dragon seems a bit saturated compared to the rest of the image, it might help to match it to the green in the middle of the lake. The more saturated green of the dragon definitely strengthens it as a focal point if that’s what you were going for, but I think the size of it does that pretty nicely too. Solid work!
@wet thistle Well done Carry! I think anything surround portraiture can be really tricky, there's always so much to learn. I think you did a really nice job with the shapes and color, looks good! If I were to suggest a small tweak I think thickening the dark lines around the eye can add some nice focal contrast to the eyes and help mimic that whole eyelash area a bit more. Nice work!
@bleak fossil Thanks for the feedback
Gave +1 Creative Carma to SamPetersonArt
@bleak fossil Thanks for the feedback! It definitely glowing more now! 😄
Gave +1 Creative Carma to SamPetersonArt
@thorn geyser yeeees! The texture looks great and the stone now has a cool glow 😄 I love the intricate details 👍
@bleak fossil Thanks a lot 😁
Gave +1 Creative Carma to SamPetersonArt
@young karma I like the new pose! The sword looks awesome and the avatar matches the color of the sword nicely 🙂 I think you should use a different background - instead of pink, you could either try a texture or another drawing 👍
@glacial path oh, ok. let me try different background. thanks🙃
Thank you @bleak fossil I will try to thicken the dark lines. Finding the right brush to use was a real challenge for me.
Gave +1 Creative Carma to SamPetersonArt
@glacial path, maybe this goes better with the theme
Posting my Day 1 Avatar... Still catching up

How do i get information on each day's challenge?
Im on the same boat. did i miss today's challenge?
Hi
Welcome everybody! This channel is for sharing designs related to the current challenge. We have another channel called #❓ask-a-question that is ideal for this type of thing. That said, the first challenge is announced tomorrow, so don't worry you didn't miss anything! We will announce the challenge in #📣creative-challenges as well as unlock the card on https://www.behance.net/challenge/photoshop @signal cradle @mortal hinge
hey..guys can some one tell me whats is the current challenge ? and what should i do ?
@limber warren The first challenge will be announced tomorrow 🙂 In this channel you can post your challenge work for feedback.
oh..thank you .. how much time do we have for each challenge ?
@limber warren The challenge ends on August 30, but you can do it in your own time, no pressure 🙂
@blissful wolf Very nice! It's always great to see people still doing the challenges after they’re over. I definitely think there’s a lot to learn from the Day 1 challenge. It might helps to make your color shifts in the skin tones a bit more subtle. Meaning not shifting too far away from the original value or color, but something similar will give you a more natural color shift. Also making sure to have hard edges in key points like the nose and mouth, while having a softer edge on things like hair might help balance everything out. Here’s a quick example. Nice work!
@main talon Really cool Shanny! The background red is an interesting choice, kind of makes the treasure look like it’s coming out of a dangerous area. The overall contrast looks good, I like the background texture too!
@jolly sky Nice design Vee! Perhaps the "Commandments" text could be a bit bigger or brighter? Might help make it a bit more of a dominant focal point.
@wet thistle Aww, this is great, nice work! Really cool to see multiple challenges put together. You got some really cool and interesting texture going on with the creature, nice work!
@young karma Very nice work Mina! I’m not sure why, but somehow it reminds me of Indiana Jones. Really nice contrast, the image reads very well. I like both backgrounds too, cool how they give off different feels. The left makes me thing of some sort of chemistry or potion related context, and the right one makes me think of runes/relics/hieroglyphs.
@young karma Really cool to see how much you can do with posing with the puppet warp tool. I like the consistent color scheme between the sword and the face. Cool blur effect too, give the figure a nice sense of movement!
@thorn geyser Very nice, has a lot more pop and overall interest to the image now!
@fast moth Your Day 9 challenge is looking really nice! The shapes and look of the gem definitely fits a fantasy feel. Really nice contrast to the image and very interesting background texture!
@young karma Awesome work! Love that sort of warping magical effect you got, very cool! Very nice job on the transition between the gem and the more abstract effect trailing off it. Kind of gives the feeling that it’s warping space time. Well done!
@young karma Haha, great idea! Now I feel like I must have the golden stylus! Ultimate power 😮 Really nice job with the texture and glow, definitely gives it a magical sort of feel.
@hexed tree Oooh, very cool, love that sort of landing/taking off "bounce" in the animation. The color changes work super well. Great job!
@bleak fossil Thank you very much for your advice. this one gave me a lot of work. Definitely not good about this particular project. I see the huge diference you made. I will try that. 🙂

So, we post our boards here, correct?
Gave +1 Creative Carma to layal
@deft yoke try to go to Select > Color Range; And with the eyedropper you select the color you want and adjust the fuzziness 🙂 You can add colors or subtract using the eyedropper with the plus and minos icon
Can we post at anytime today? I’ll be more available for work in the evening to post.
challenge#1
@hexed geyser of course 😄
@coral stone thanks! Going back in, will reupload with adjusted colours. I'm so used to GIMP that it's going to take some to get into PS but Im determined!
@deft yoke You got this 👊
Here it is with the colour board complete. I seem to have leaned towards the pastel colours, with a little bright punch at the end.
@deft yoke well done, looks good!
Hey everyone! thanks for tuning in! you can upload anytime you want!
Definitely going fantastical for over all theme!
I have no clue what i want to do a mood board about...any advice ?
@narrow mauve you can search on behance/pinterest... for some inspiration 😄
@coral stone will do, thank you
Gave +1 Creative Carma to Valdair Leonardo
@narrow mauve If you are a photographer, you can post some pictures from your portfolio and search on stock photos for the rest, if needed
@young karma I'm mot - unfortunately - thanks for the advice 🙂
A little color pop!
@pale lichen Loving the loading animation! The pulsing pattern looks great and gives it a really cool effect! It could be cool to increase the brightness of the effect a little bit more, might give it more of a feel like it’s some sort of glowing energy. The other item looks great too, but I think it could also use a bit of an increase in brightness via a masked levels adjustment to help it pop. Here’s a quick example. Great work on these!
@wise sand Very nice! Really liking the consistent color scheme throughout. The blue accent color adds a really nice balance!
@atomic turtle Nice work! Some nice colors going on here. A lot have a sort of calming feeling in the lighting. The middle image doesn't seem to really match the feel of the rest of them, but maybe that's to create a balance with the rest of them that you were going for. Looks good!
@deft yoke I like the idea of having a color palette that is fairly neutral with a bunch of brighter/more intense color. This board has a really interesting feel, nice work!
@young karma Very interesting, lots of reds and yellows and bright tones. Might be cool to see this idea broken down into color swatches too. Looking good!
@spark wharf Love this one! Really great color scheme. Nice soft pastel tones, and it definitely gives off a consistent and clear mood. Very light and calming colors. Great work!
What do you guys think?

Challenge#1 I am a beginner in photoshop, so looking forward to some feedback to improve myself. Thanks!
"gone" concept
@narrow mauve This is excellent! I'm really loving the mellow vibe with a splash of color here!
@jolly quest Thank you so much 😊
Gave +1 Creative Carma to VooDoo_Val
Everyone is awesome. That is all. 🙂
@pliant cedar Great sunset board! I notice those 2 tan/yellow colors you have there are very similar, however. Maybe think about replacing one with perhaps a nice purple from the top left image!
I'm starting a pet portrait side gig, so this exercise was perfect timing for me to get my style in check.
@elder pasture Some awesome pops of color in your board! I love it! I think you could improve the overall presentation of the board, however, if you made sure that the edges of each photo either meet perfectly OR give them even/equal space between each one. To do this, you may have to crop some of the images first or subtract portions of them with the rectangular marquee tool.
@stray isle I like your mood board very nice
PS gif
@lunar mango Hooray for He-Man! Awesome board! Loving the classic cartoon colors and the mix of illustration and photography!
Sunset/sunrise
Day 1 Mood Board... I may be in wedding planning mode 😉
Thanks for the feedback @jolly quest - He-Man & Thundercats are my FAVS! I still have my figures from the 80's and the reboot in the 2000s. There are talks about a movie and Netflix working on a new He-Man series! super excited!

@jolly quest Thank you for the feedback and you are definitely right about spacing them evenly or maybe i could of just stuck to the template lol. (( But for some reason I had to make it funky since the challenge said to reflect my style. )) Just need to find a way to add my style without over doing it, or doing it terribly lol. Thank you for the advice Val.

Mood board with a water theme using my travel photos
Hi creative people ! So happy to be here 😀 This is my very first challenge here so I look forward to have some feed backs and your opinion on this moodboard. Some pictures come from Unsplash, some are my own and the beautiful illustration is from a the illustrator Adrianne Walujo (I just changed the color of the shirt so it fits with my color palette).
Visiting folks in a few weeks so been thinking about family roots. It was a choice between Iowa farming or West Virginia coal country.
@fallow bough This looks great, I have family in Rural PA and this really resonates . Well done 🙂

Moodboard done with my own photos. A tribute to the great Argentinian artist Julio Le Parc.
@deft yoke LOVE the colors!
I went for a more muted colour palette. First time doing the challenge and can't wait to keep going!

First-ever mood board -- I love this concept! Did it with template, but eager to try with my own design. GREAT tips.
@grand wave lovin' the mood board! I'm super interested to see your art!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to juanjose
@elder yarrow thanks for the template !! great help!😃
First moodboard and first challenge 🙂
First time I've done a mood board so I stuck with the template for the moment. It is with a project I've had in mind for doing for a long time so I'd like to think its a step in the right direction.
Day 1 - Cars & Signs Moodboard
Got a little challenge of my own going on, right now... one current and one from the last challenge (@jolly quest)... per day!
Here's my contribution to the current PSDCC Challenge - Day 1, @elder yarrow; my current mood.
Mood board for an illustration.
My result!
Still new at Photoshop, so I used the template until I can figure out my own layout. Can you tell I'm over 100F+ temps and ready for fall? 😁
I'm so proud of myself 🤩

All these works are amazing, I can't choose a favorite one 😍
All things relaxing....
these are all incredibly inspiring. I am only just now beginning challenge 1. not quite sure where to start though.
@marble spruce I just thought of a word and made my moodboard around that! Mine is Relax. Do what is your mood right now haha
Hey thank you @civic yacht ! maybe i am over thinking it all lol. Did you decide "relax"... then sought out pictures, followed by picking the color pallets?
Gave +1 Creative Carma to TiffTiff
@analog olive going for a similar theme, you've found way cooler images tho 😀
@marble spruce Yeah exactly. I sought out photos that had similar colors. To be more precise I opened up the images on my desktop as I was scrolling to see side-by-side comparison and chose the one that looked like it had the right color scheme I was going for
Mood board: Going for a Cyber 2077 vibe
@woeful storm oooh! I love the dark & moody style - Maybe you can reduce the color palette slightly to only include the main colors 🙂
Theme: Nostalgia
@civic yacht yeeees! Those places look awesome and the colors work together beautifully 🙂 You got a great theme going on there!
Hey guys! Here is today's challenge!
Got my inspiration after a storm last night.
My participation
@lunar heart the color palette looks pretty muted even though you have a lot of saturated colors in your image 🤔 maybe you can swap one or two of these colors for a saturated red or orange 🙂 ?
Waiting for fall 🍂
Take 2, trying for a bit more saturated colors.
@lunar heart perfect!
@patent drum oooh! Those are really cool pictures 🙂 IMO it should be fall all year 😛
Yay! I did it! it was definitely fun figuring out what I wanted to see. My theme or mood was passion. All forms of it. Love, Accomplishment, Satisfaction, Art, Power... any feed back is welcomed and appreciated
Thank you @civic yacht …
Gave +1 Creative Carma to TiffTiff
@crisp night well done! The images and the colors match really well - I like the muted pink and the darker cyan color!
@glacial path Thank you!!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to evil
@glacial path IMO too 😆
@grand wave Very nice Hannah! I definitely get a clear mood/vibe from these colors. And the orange-blue contrast is always a favorite of mine. Some good more neutral tones to balance it out too!
@lone hare Looking good Ryan! I like the darker neutral tones with the pops of color here and there. Could make for a really nice color scheme. It could be cool to see this reflected in a set of color swatches as well.
@stray glacier Welcome in, really glad you could join us! Really cool to see texture as well as color reflected in your moodboard (in regards to your first one). Some really cool colors here! Would be really interesting to see this worked into a piece. Nice work!
@trail rose A lot of bold and primary colors, really cool. Interesting to see the really colorful images vs the images with a more simple 2 color scheme. You could definitely get some interesting designs with this!
@void gust This looks really cool! I’ve been pretty interested with more muted color palettes lately, so this is cool to see. It really allows fairly subtle saturation (like the blue) to really have a big impact by contrast without being super bold. I like it!
@lunar mango Hah, I like it! Big fan of that 80's cartoon aesthetic. Some really great colors to play with. would be really cool to see this worked into a design. Nice work!
Here is one that I made for today’s challenge! 🙏😌❤️ also check my instagram if you want to see some cool stuff, ➡️ @ AnotherChicago

let's call this the colors of Naples, all these photos are taken at different days and different times (mostly sunset) at the beaches in Naples, Florida. I sampled the average color of every photo individually and changed the colors of the boxes on the bottom left accordingly. Any feedback is welcome. (I know picture 4 is not straight but I'm too tired to fix that right now, sorry)
First time doing a mood board 🙂
collage mood board
@glad flame You got a nice balance of warms and cools in this one, as well as some good more neutral tones to balance it out. Great images, well done!
@errant knoll Looking good! I’m liking those deep values and purple tones. These are definitely evoking a pretty clear mood. Nice work! It might be nice to add that bright pink tone from a couple of your images to your swatches. Could be good for a more dramatic accent color.
@jagged tinsel Hah, I can relate. Usually feels good once you get going. Liking the lighting in these images!
@modest rose Definitely one of my go-to color palettes! There’s so much range you can get just by playing with the saturation and values with them. Something really bright and saturated vs something with much more muted and neutral tones. Nice work!
@bleak fossil thank you so much Sam! All pictures are mine as well 👌
Gave +1 Creative Carma to SamPetersonArt
@glad flame That's awesome! Really impressive stuff 😄
Sorry for iStock photos... I didn´t know how to add the ones on Behance to Photoshop....

@glad flame Hah, thanks! I think it's just a different discipline, drawing and painting vs photography and photoshop. You got a great aesthetic on your Instagram! I followed you back 🙂
Gave +1 Creative Carma to Another Chicago
@autumn wadi Looking good Cutter, I think those darker brown tones do a good job of bringing in a little warmth to contrast the rest of the cool purples and blues. I think there’s a lot you could do with this by playing with different values. Cool stuff!
@cold cedar This is really cool! You have a very nice color scheme going here. I wouldn't normally picture that green color with the rest of these but it works really well! You can definitely get some nice accent colors with that. The more neutral earth tones give everything a nice balance too.
@young karma Great work! I definitely get a cool beach vibe by looking at the swatches before even seeing the images. Really nice calming vibe to it all, nice job!
@foggy lagoon Hah, it's looking good! I think it can really help to break these up into some swatches to see what the major take away colors will be. The orange and reds are definitely apparent, but it might be nice to see some cool/neutral tones as well. I think swatches can really help visualize that balance. Nice work!
@scenic anchor Ooh, really liking this idea! Very cool. Might be nice to pull in a cooler neutral tone. There almost seems to be some slight purple in the color of the feathers and dog. Might be nice to pull that or something similar in to balance out all the warms?
@honest gorge Always loved the great colors you often see at sunset. Really digging this calming and happy feeling color scheme. Looks good!

Here's what I played with. Also my very first moodboard, I didn't have a lot of time (and no graphic tablet) to make this so it's for sure not anywhere close to where I'd want it to be, but it was actually a lot of fun making this! 😊
Photos are by the wonderful behance artists Elsa Bleda, Cody Ellingham, Jermaine Saunders, Paolo Barretta and Al Mefer 💛
@tulip crow i like it so much! It’s way different than rest of the mood boards! 😀
@knotty cosmos I think your board looks unified, like one image, which think is good. I'm new to mood boards so it's just my thought.

@amber sedge I like your take on the mood board.
@amber sedge I really like your colour scheme!
@empty siren right? Those pictures are just so beautiful, I can’t wait to see it in person and take my own pictures. 😊
Still working on my mood board. I decided to put a color overlay on woman on the right since she was the only black/white image and seems stark compared to the other people. Also dropped the purple and added her skin tone to the colors. I think the shift is subtle and good. Would love to know what others think.

I could do this all day
Day 1: Moodboard
@grave meteor
Challenge 1 - Mood board.
Here is challenge#2
Challenge 1 - mood board
@naive tiger Looking good! It's cool to see a clear theme in a moodboard in addition to a color scheme. Looking good! It might help to add a darker brown swatch to act as an earth tone along with the green since so many of these shots are outdoors.
@forest aspen This is great! Really liking this theme and the soft color tones along with the tan/neutral tones. Really cool idea!
Challenge #1 - Mood Board
@novel orbit Loving that really dominant blue color scheme! It's really cool to see how monochromatic images can really evoke a strong feeling. Those blue, green, and purple colors really give you some nice range to work with too.
@outer haven Really loving these colors! Some really nice warm and cool tones to balance each other out. It might help to crop the black bars off the top and bottom to keep this image horizontal. Nice work!
@magic rampart Love these bright and sunny colors! These definitely all have a mood and feel. It could be nice to add in a swatch for that midtone/darkish blue grey we see in the monkey's fur, and in the shadowed fur of the kittens. Could be a nice cool tone to balance out all the warm tones.
@nimble geyser Welcome in Tamara! Really glad you could join us! Really liking the sort of calm/subtle earth tone color palette you chose. Looking good!
@smoky comet Really liking those pops of color in images that have mostly neutral tones. Can definitely help to make something really pop out. The color palette is looking good!
Don't kill me for my (really) bad painting skills. 😂
Normally I have to write next to each thing what it should be.
Composition using Adobe Capture😃
Hey this is awesome! My drawing skills are also bad 😂 But helps me organize my thoughts, and think about space, about the distribution of elements in the composition, where do I want objects and subjects to be. Also to think about what would be the element I want the focus to be on...
This is what I showed you folks before! It's not a good drawing 😂 but helps me to know what I want before going to do the shooting!
So I started coloring it in once I got it all into Photoshop... never done that before, it was kind of like coloring in a giant digital coloring book 😂
Can we draw something then add images that match the drawing on top?
Hey @young karma you can... but the challenge for today is to use traditional media to sketch the composition, so in this case drawing!
Thanks @elder yarrow I am starting over to make a sketch that looks decent without photoshop 😂
Gave +1 Creative Carma to juanjose
@edgy idol LOVING the whole scene you have put together! Great job going that extra mile and painting it up in photoshop!

Day 2 Compose an Image
my forest animals
PS challenge 2
Day 2 - Compose an Image . This was an unfinished sketch of the Red Hulk I had previously created, took a picture with capture, threw some chalk brushes over it and added a cheesy brick background.
Day 2- This is a shot of my desk at work, I've been drawing a lot of desks and work spaces traditionally lately and I didn't know about Adobe Capture which is actually pretty useful and interesting.
@coral stone @jolly quest I would like to know what you think about my work for the second challenge - if you got time - 🙏
@void warren I had no clue something like adobe capture existed. I wish i had found out about it earlier. Could have saved me a lot of time
@narrow mauve if you haven't played around with the color portion that's also pretty useful pulling various colors from photos or real life whatever your drawing / making from.
@void warren Ooh nice, I sure will. I wanted to submit as soon as possible so I can have my work reviewed at the live stream...but I'm late 😢
Day #1
@narrow mauve looks amazing, I love how you played with the perspective. Great job!
Day 2 Playing around. Still thinking about my drawing(?). So elated about getting to use Capture.
Challenge 2 - Hand drawing, adobe capture, Micro Dragon
Oh well here goes nothing...
The final image will be a composition of corn in a field being rolled out like sod. My inspiration is the work of Erik Johansson. He does great surreal compositions.
Example of Erik's work. https://www.behance.net/erikjohansson
@fallow bough super cool!
Challenge #2 - Compose an Image
Random corner of my living room (drawn with a felt-tip pen)
hi all, i love capture! still away so only had adobe sketch on my phone to colour in my capture drawing though ... please excuse the distortion
@jolly quest yeah!
so are these challenges supposed to build on each other or are they all separate projects?
@Bunbun was wondering the same!
@ancient lance @tulip crow you can do both! You can think of a project and do it throughout the two weeks, but you can also make each challenge separately!
Challenge 1 - Moodboard
Horror Homage
@juanjose perfect, thanks for clarifying!
My own photo transformed with Adobe Capture into a drawing. Then colored in Photoshop. 😃
Adobe Capture
I used adobe capture to pulling in very rough sketchs to photoshop sketch on my ipad (i bent the rules).
What my brain feels like when someone asks me to sketch something ...
I did a sketch of block text, and 3 images (boot, star, and flowers) and made this cool pattern that reflects ME (from Montana and live in Texas) YAY this was SO FUN
@willow nebula at least you try! I just transform a photo into a drawing! Helpless!
@trail rose Thanks! I never sketch, but gave it a try, it was quite fun actually. Go go go!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to A. MARIE
Color version done in pencils and the adobe capture version of my setting/location
@willow nebula the irony of it all is that my mother was and my son is a drawer and painter!
Challenge #2 I Work in a company that designs and build Chicken houses.
Day 1
Catching up from Day one! 😜 Going to put all of these elements together into a composite...
Challenge 2 👍
Day 1 - Moodboard - too many colors?
I did say that I was a bit pants at drawing... So here's my rather simplistic flower and birds for Day 2
Morning Coffee
Day 2 - Compose an Image
It's not finished , i may add or change some colours
but i need ur opinion on it
Day 2
@dense flame I absolutely love this!
@crimson veldt thank uuuu so much 😍

Challenge#2
@outer haven this is marvellous 😍
Not a great free hand drawer, but first time using adobe capture, Pretty Cool!!
@dense flame thanks alot☺️
Gave +1 Creative Carma to Shimaa Chico
Quick sketch composition without colour at moment, Nice technique to develop an idea though, I've always liked capture but barely made real use of it (that will now change 🙂 )
@i
@toxic iron 🙌
Day 2 composite drawings.
Is there a trick to painting in Photoshop? I was going to paint in the window area, but I couldn't get the paint to show up. I tried toggling settings and opacity on the brushes and creating a new layer to work in, but nothing worked.
Challenge 2 Adobe Capture
I drew my dog Luna, thinking the moon might be a tasty treat 😋
The thing about A Capture is that the quality of the shape is so thick. When refined it loses detail. The drawing I did looks great in my sketch book . Any suggestions??? FYI The images I take of buildings and landscapes in Shape mode come out much more detailed/useful.
@rough sparrow Nice example! Capture did not capture the detail of my drawing the way yours did. Mine looked great in the book but did not "Capture" well.
i know that its already late, and everybody is with the second challenge, but i let my first challenge here! (sorry for this)
@candid chasm its rather gorgeous!!
@candid chasm Bang out the second one and you'll be on sched.
thanks @winter sable 🙂
yaaasss!!! i'm on it 😄 @autumn wadi

Not really an illustrator, but I was delighted to discover Adobe Capture! I showed how I drew all the elements separately and then composited in photoshop. I pulled colors from my mood board project for the paint job.
@stray glacier ooh I like the theme! The combination of the vibrant colors and the black trees works great! You did a great job with the sky and great job on the presentation in general 😄
you could try adding a shadow to the trees since the light is coming from behind 🙂
this would help to anchor the trees to the scene
Hello everyone ! This is my composition for this challenge. I've drawn the couch, the super-cat and the plant on paper then used Capture and arranged lot of things on Photoshop (I'm not good at drawing ^^)
@candid chasm I like the arrangement of the colors 🙂 Just make sure to keep the swatches in the same style - some have a drop shadow and some don't
maybe you can also align the images 🙂
same with the swatches
thanks @glacial path I will fix those things :)... So, usually everything should be align? (maybe it is a silly question, but i learn all i know studying by myself so im sure there are a lot of mistakes haha)
Gave +1 Creative Carma to evil
@candid chasm haha, no problem^^ - yes, you don't have to align every single image but you should try to keep a general system or grid so they don't look too random
got it 🙂 Thanks again 😄
a bit like hanging photos on a wall
here are some examples @candid chasm https://how-do-it.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/162043-Wall_collage_layouts.jpg
that means that u can be a little crazy but everything is always inside the same box... haha got it 😛 (and of course everything align, i will never forget that haha)
Just started messing with ideas from capture and this was the first set of results, using the catalan rumba mood ideas
day 2
Challenge 2 Capture
Just finished my moodboard! Will try to keep up with the rest of the challenges
moodboard challenge#1
@lime ermine I like the black & white photos! But usually you pick the colors for the swatches from the images. The super saturated swatches don't really work here 😉
I would either go for completely desaturated colors or very muted ones
like an earthy green or a dark blue-ish gray
@crude lichen the arrangement looks great! I'm a big fan of the juicy color palette 😄 You did a great job picking out the main colors and the presentation is clean. Well done!
Thanks @glacial path ! I'm looking forward to trying with those colors you suggested. Also will try to come up with a more conventional board 😉
Gave +1 Creative Carma to evil
@tame jacinth alright! You're almost there 🙂 I think you could focus on one or two objects instead of having the desk, the monitor and the pictures all in the same shot
@lime ermine ha! I mean, if you like the dramatic images - that's absolutely fine. A moodboard doesn't have to be all colorful
oh right! Here is my composition. I use my hand drawings and i add colour in PS, I did some of the lines with the brush and I used the colours from the first challenge.
The drawings I made at first
Thank @glacial path !!!!!!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to evil
Day 2. Not really a sketcher/drawer, so here's my attempt 😁
Day 2: Trying to channel my inner Bob Ross with some happy little trees and happy little clouds, didn't quite match up though. 🤷
@glacial path I tried to fix it. This is what i get.
@candid chasm ooh! great work on the hair! The idea with the stars and planet is super cool 🙂 I think you could try a dark background if you want to simulate space and other stars 🙂
Day 2, I drew this scene with a pencil in my sketchbook and then used Adobe Capture to transfer into Photoshop.
@topaz raven Awesome job! I like minimalism and the atmosphere it creates 🙂
Day 2 - Relax and meditation....
Not sure about this lol, but I had fun doing it!
