I’m not sure if this has been brought up yet but if not id like to propose my idea. Depending on how long the shift is (usually 30-45 minutes) there should be a rotation. So every 10-15 minutes the current players in the shift would leave to give others a chance at possibly being seen. I’m just proposing this since i’ve seen a lot of people saying things along the lines of how shifts are impossible to get into and they can never make it due to how quickly they fill up.

There r other servers and ten to fifteen mins isn’t enough

#

bad idea imo

^ i agree

#

this had a good intent but overall I don’t think it would work

I mean serving each person takes up to 5 minutes depending on how long the ongoing conversation is going

#

5-7!

#

I guess not many people agreed with the new shift system

#

It really did give a lot of people more opportunities tho as well as me!

I disagreed with the new shift system because normally in the old system I got to serve once, but I never got to serve in the new one. Also, people still joined high ranks and it was very difficult to serve an executive. I understand serving people only takes 5-7 minutes, but waiting to serve one takes up to 40 or even more. Because of this, I would not suggest a time limit for chefs, but instead an expectation to leave after serving an executive and a warning as punishment for not, so everyone gets a chance.

How did you not get to join the new one if you could join many servers

hidden siren
#

So they were given a warning

#

Imo it was pretty fair I seen a lot of chefs getting more chances due to joining different servers I see another issue that was executives kept joining back the higher server which could easily be fixed but chefs also need to listen if they want to be given a fair chance!

#

Also during shift I encourage some chefs to join a line they see is going a lot faster!

If not we will sadly have to wait 30 minutes or longer to server atleast one person.

#

Sometimes it’s slow because people rather be served by someone that’s behind them which isn’t bad!

#

And as we do know people can be noticed in regular servers, it really just depends on us and our knowledge of the game!

#

But yeah that was my input

#

Don’t copy anyone just be yourself but remember they do look for people with good grammar & creativity!

To sum up what I think, I think this isn’t a good idea because of how it’ll affect the chances of other players. Yes many players don’t get a chance to server in pos, but mainly 20/30 people leave each shift, giving u a chance to join whether the shift has 15 minutes left or more. Switching out would be a disaster, most players won’t wanna switch because they haven’t served yet or just don’t want to take their chances away. Each dining experience can range up to 10/15 minutes depending on the chef, service, orders, and more

this^ although each dining experience in my opinion is more like 5-7 minutes 10-15 with two people and most of the time entrees are skipped so that lessens it

So basically y’all prefer old over new one

hii, there are normally up to 3 hosts, meaning up to 3 servers/chances to get into shift. Which I assume has been put into place for the people who miss getting in to s1 or struggle with getting in. Additionally it personally isn't too hard to get into a shift you just have to make sure you free some time around when shift starts and join from their profile or through the game. I do not think it would work, nor be fair to ask people to leave shift for others and it just wouldn't really work out

#

but it should not be too much of an issue as there is no rush or advantage with getting into shifts. you are still being seen continuously and you have the same chances of being promoted out of a shift as well as inside of one

#

please remember that shifts don't automatically mean you are first in line to be promoted

#

so don't feel too upset about not making it into one as there are multiple ones every day, every week and you have so much time to work hard in normal servers in order to be promoted (if you are trying!) yes
