Hmm, now when I kill the parasites, its not giving the proper amount of pustules. That one said I gained 22, but I lost 5 and have a total of 3 now.

So, 2 things.

The original 15 Corruption Scraps are still in my quest bag.
When I do a single scrap to use 13 pustules, it will synth, but doesn't give me a a Fasle Corruption Scrap, then deletes any remaining Pustules not used. Tried it on Dragonscales and Trollhide.

Small follow up here, ran into same issue as Ope, appeared to be loosing Pustules after trying to make 15 Corruption scraps. I logged out, and when I came back, I have a buff showing the synthesizer working hard. Started with a count of 999 (its about 700 still counting down.

On the plus side, it appears I am collecting Pustules again. Treants are spawning Pustules, but stumps do not, nor do imp. I'm lv 27 skinning, so quest lists demonhide (imps), timberhide, darkshroud and grimhide.

Idk how other people feel about Simons Daily mining quest, ever since it got patched and you started to lose crystals when you are close to the explosion, it just got frustrating to me, sometimes it will flash super fast but still "stay up" for a long time, sometimes it will explode instantly when it starts flashing super fast, and how long the cast is(while ur rooted) also being random, there is just too much randomness to it which just makes it frustrating, especially when ur at Tier 8 ore and you only get like 6 ore nodes total that arent super far away or in the wildlands (assuming they are all up), to not risk it you would have to take like only 4 crystals ever to be safe per node that procs a crystal

I am aware that upgrades from Simon would easily help all this, but it still is just a frustrating mechanic instead of a "skill based" one

Randomly got a timer indicating a synthesis of 999 of the false corrupted leather. Upon expiry, I recieved 999 of the material

This occurred after I started a synthesis of 15 false scraps with insufficient materials and selected the option to make as many materials as possible. Upon expiry of the synthesis buff, I did not recieve materials

#

Also I farmed over 1000 Pustules. Upon turning in the quest, it removed the 999 stack of pustules and left the remainder in my quest inventory

#

Also upon turning in the false corrupted leather, it removed the 60 needed for the quest and the remainder was not turned in for extra credit and remains in my inventory

As for some monsters that don't drop the parasites: Currently, we have it so only monsters whose level is in the same tier as yours drop the parasites. This will be adjusted based on outlying monsters that drop the scraps you're after, but are not in your same tier.

the funny thing is, in my original calculations when I first made the system, the player would on average get around 4 crystals. I balanced it with that in mind, but then made the numbers a bit more lenient based on feedback. When the crystals didn't drop from an explosion, how much where you getting on average? And when did you reach the threshold of needed crystals to turn in vs ore?

Before the pacing was u got the crystals u needed before the ore and you could get about 50 total crystals when you are done with the ore, now you get about 20 with the 6 available nodes for Leysilver/Drakonium assuming you dont fail at all, sometimes needing to get ores from somewhere else or waiting for respawns

With a bigger dev team, this is the sort of thing we'd be able to track internally if we developed the tools for it-- like we could see actual player averages on speed of task item gain vs normal item, set against their rank level, what boons they have, etc

but for now, it's basically me making it mathemetically sound as I design it, but y'know, in practice things can change

So how ranks are designed, at least on paper, is that ranks 1-3ish, it will take longer to get the task items than the ore. Then by ranks 4-5, it becomes more about overtime

Yeah gotcha, i think the boons are cool, i have no boons personally, and "progressing" to make getting the task done faster is cool, i just havent interacted with that system becuse it was bugged before with not dropping crystals etc.

There just needs to be a exact moment where you are paying attention to the crystal flashing, and being like "Okay i got 3 secs till its about to blow" for example

I just implemented that as one of my upcoming fixes. Won't go into specifics, but it's now a bit more clear in its progression toward explosion, and randomness was reigned in a bit

the boons aren't bugged anymore. I actually reworked how they're done in the back end to make them simpler / less bug prone

-Fixed various bugs with the skinning task, especially ones occurring after selecting "synthesize max amount" on the CORPAM-3000, and bugs related to multiple stacks of False Corruption Scraps in inventory.
-Combustion Crystal minigame in the mining task is now a bit less randomized and clearer overall.
-Fixed bug where mining boon 4 needed woodcutting vouchers instead of mining ones.

Unfortunately I did not check my quest storage after the second time i synthesized. But i did synthesize 2 separate times 60 scraps each time. I checked after the first time and did see the first 60 in there. I did it again this morning to complete the task and did 120 all at once and it worked.

Made the filters successfully, they do not appear as items in your inventory but will still count towards the quest's requirements. It will also say you learned the recipe but the recipe will not appear in the list

Werewolves will use their shadowstrike teleport attack they do on engage when they see a Corruption Parasite, Then they won't do it on the player since they just used it. Not a big deal, but worth thinking about if there are other engage mechanics you may want to prevent these from spawning around those areas.

-Fixed a bug where Stage Two Corruption Parasites didn't register as being stored in a monster

also, simon's task has been buggy for me specifically on live so I haven't been able to do it much there, but when I do his task in my client I just need to click the crystals to get them. Is it true that you need to right click and select an option to gather them on live?

It depends, sometimes there are multiple nodes on the same spot so only a tiny portion of the crystal pokes out. This was less of an issue before the change to the appearance of ore nodes. The larger ore nodes obscure the crystal much more.

When the node spot is completely clear and the crystal is completely visible, sometimes there is a positioning issue and clicking on them doesn't gather. I usually right click and gather them to make sure.

#

Another issue is if you get a couple of lucky gathers, the toast screen that tells you "1 combustion crystal has been added to your quest inventory" pops up so many times, it obscures the crystal node and you can't gather any crystals without closing the windows, which loses you time

In T8 leather scraps for the skinning quest, the quest description states that we can use "Yetihide Scraps". I went and killed yetis which provided "Tundrahide Scraps". The CORPAM-3000 at lvl 3 was allowed to be used on the Tundrahide scraps, consumed the pustules, and gave the standard processing buff but at the end of the buff I didn't receive any false corrupted leather

@fringe marsh there are huge issues with the skinning quest at lvl 35 Skinning and above at least for me.

NONE of the T8 leather types mentioned in the quest convert successfully into false corrupted leather scraps including tundrahide (Yetihide scraps listed in the quest is probably not the correct scrap type) Video shows that Vale and Netherscale both are put into the synth process but no false leather is generated. I have tried all 4 types and logged in and out and it still does not work.

Many mobs that have multiple colors (meaning most mobs that generate the attribute armors) do not generate parasites on death.

i think there is a issue with late rank tasks - they require the same amount of materials

#

when ur high rank and got decent amount of upgrades, rushing end task for mining, herbalism, woodcut still eats the same amount of materials even if u can get max amount of extra sap, crystals, seeds fast

For the Skinning Daily, Mod III to turn in unused pustules for credit does not work. It is removing the pustules at turn in, putting up the screen indicating that we received credit but it does not actually give us any extra credit. Please see the video below

Any chance there is a way to spawn Combustion Crystals randomly in nearby cell around node you just mined? Like Very Sticky Sap spawns randomly nearby chopped wood node
its just sometimes, when 2 ore nodes inside each other - its pretty hard to target crystal

I've got 2 broekn rank up quests. With Franc, i have the stewed crocodile meat in inventory, he says smells great, go feed the rabbits. But when I rclick on the rabbits, my only choices are inspect, move to and target. No feed option.

Quest says go talk to Horvath, he asks me what happened, talks about both guys, then says "Don't be a stranger". @fringe marsh Mod 3 is still broken for the skinning quest. After testing, it converts pustules at the base rate of 26 pustules/ extra false leather scrap instead of the rate that is appropriate to the level of the CORPAM - 3000.

For example, I had 37.03 of extra credit stored and turned in 60 false leather + 908 extra pustules. At my CORPAM level, I need 9 pustules for each leather so I need 18 pustules for each false leather. The 908 extra pustules should yield 50.44 extra credit scraps but the screen and extra credit afterwards will only give me 34.92 extra credits.

The dialogue of Franc indicates that I donated over 50 scraps but the actual credit I get is less than what should be awarded

and its me getting older, or something wrong, but i barely can collect Special Seeds, like 0 or 1 per plant, its just disappears mostly before character even able to run to them

So I am stuck with the quests since the day they bugged, and I cannot complete them. No sap or combustion crystals spawn for me and the leather quest will spawn the little creatures when i kill monsters, but I cannot use the CORPAM-3000 to add the Pustules to any leather. It's been fine, but these little creatures are starting to get very annoying. They are picked up by auto targetting nearly 100% of the time. I have wasted many holy wrath charges and chain lightning attacks on annoying little guys instead of the intended monster. Can I please get someone to just remove the quest from me?

I went to Keni Bauble yesterday for the first time in a while and turned in my woodcutting task. I see that my ranks have been reset. I do not know the name of my previous rank, I had done the holy tincture thing a couple of times and the daily task 5 or so times after having done the tincture rank up quest

Also when I picked up the woodcutting task today Keni told me to gather t8 logs, but the task required birch. I was still able to gather sap from t8 logs.

I turned in my task to mr friend as well after not visiting for a while, he now longer has any interaction besides a random string of characters

I just started the "FRANC RED, MAD SCIENTIST" quest and it is not letting me synthesize anything at all. I use it in my inventory and then click my leather scraps but nothing happens. Is this a known bug? I'm sorry if it's listed somewhere in this thread. I have more than enough corruption pustules and scraps but nothing I do seems to work.

Just did the first rank up quest for Franc and upon completion and accepting the quest rewards, the CORPAM disappeared from my quest inventory and I didn't receive the item to upgrade my CORPAM

I also turned in a bunch of extra pustules and didnt get any additional currency

I have a CORPAM now but

using it on scraps doesn't let me select a number of scraps to process
It just decreases the amount of tundrahide scraps I have by 1
There is no scrap processing bar
It doesn't consume any pustules
I don't get any False corrupted scrap

skinning daily is still broken for me at least

Task wise, Mining is owrking, Herbalism is working after Ryan fixed Mr Friend for me, Woodcutting is working although todays task she asked for t7 logs even though I'm 40 and sap still spawned from t8 logs. Skinning seems to be working for me, though the first day I picked it up, no pustules were spawning for a while.

Just to note, I've gotten all the talents from the dailies so I haven't been checking all these tasks as regularly as before. I am occasionally checking to see if the rank up quests are implemented

Well, I was helping Mr friend out. I’d been gathering his journal entries. I was rank 2 and tried to rank up after 5 journal entries but was unable. I later checked again when I had 14 journal entries and I went straight to rank 5. He didn’t take my old candy bag away, and now when I complete the herbalism task he doesn’t refill either with candy.

I was able to accept a task last night, but now he does not respond when I talk to him. He says goodbye as I am walking away though. Its like the dialogue box fails to open when I initiate "talk". I tried typing "Turn in" in chat but it did nothing.

this is bc the client has to fetch the info from the server, so there's a bit of a round-trip time to get it back and sometimes it doesn't update cleanly after the info is received
