#Weapon coatings

coatings apply globally so you don't need to worry about putting them on both weapons
But....theres reasons. XD Specific to yesterdays update. @mental hazel should understand my reasoning. XD
coatings just apply a +element conversion for 15 minutes at a time
Yup...and why would I want 2 different ones at once? Related to our convo yesterday. 😄
so you want two different enchants happening at the same time?
if we were to apply to the weapon itself, we'd have to apply the extra dmg to the weapon swings rather than globally to all damage dealt (including spells)
bc if we applied globally, we'd then have to split the spell damage 50% normal, 25% element 1, 25% element 2
so it would nerf the oils to affect autos only
Fair. How about a new coating that does the autoattacks and....takes lesser stones.
Because I agree that would be a problem.
I guess, similar idea to poisons? But with elements. Not super up to speed on poisons tho. Again I would still keep the current ones as is.
The whole concept of dealing damage to make the effect is a prototype for logic is something I can remove entirely if it becomes too difficult. I put it in with reservation, knowing that players may not like it
But, we will make other ways to add damage on top of coatings
Like a ring that adds fire damage
I have a water damage one (splashing i think). Think we should make them craftable. Bar, elestone, and something to make them either defense or attack?
