#⭐ Quit Moments

for sure
A lot of this stuff is going to take time <queue the gaben gif>
once I am done with the map stuff, I will start to think about these smaller things.
BDO is super fun, but also closed economy with controlled pricing / access
lawd knows i swiped and sold costumes for cash 🤣
Haha. I never paid a cent! But I also wasn't BiS or anything. I did grind all the artifacts and a lot of lifeskill stuff. Ultimately wasn't the game for me but I did like the grind for the really rare items, it was rewarding.
i agree on everything you're saying and even more on the progression line being slowed down the more you progress, here it's been seen on the level 40 equipment as they are more deep than the previous ones and they feel to be the starting point for how new important gear will be obtained. up to that levels, everything you were doing was a progress for something you were working on, building step by step with time and effort your progression. it required a deep gameplay to arrive to such points, then when you are able to craft a level 40 gear and see what grind does it take, you can start your new goal and still work step by step making progress. there is still tons of RNG on everything, but you are still able to build something in the process and feel to add a piece to the puzzle on every move you're taking, even if it doesn't produce the results you were expecting you still could have gotten something rewarding for the investment, being totally lost when i've in the first time encountered the DLP without the shard update and now i've been facing on sentinels and seen in this early stages of astral maps. i know we are on an alpha game where there is too much to be covering and something has to be a placeholder while it's building up or that will be revisited once feedbacks arrive, but i also know everything will get their deserved time once it's the right moment as you've already been doing. the DLP shards and items addition were surely something that has been giving deepness to the level 40 weapon crafting, since it was totally locked behind RNG and now you can build up your way on it (still relying on RNG but in a healthy way), so i don't expect the way you are going to focus is to have a RNG like it is in the actual moment on sentinels, old DLP and astral maps for the whole time and pushing it also on future contents, but being there and having experienced them i can't help but ask about it
can u clarify the first one: stopping movement when switching tabs?
oh i see kk
fixed
Thats wild. Ive mentioned it multiple times and it was such an easy fix!
By the sounds....
ngl tho i didnt see u say that, or i didnt process what exactly you meant
if u guys see other small bugs tho lmk
thats you to zorg i am just way better
Fair. Lots of chatter in here.
And yeah i knew the real reason
I reckon you should play your game for ten minutes a day ryan, youd find that one real fast and fix it
Not trying to sound condescending. Genuinely. That one, you wouldnt be able to not find it.
yeah agree i know you busy man ry but like just 5 minutes of trying to fuck around whit da bank will tell you alot as well
u will be happy that we have an attempted fix for the tab eating items bug

I’d personally still really love to see a new map. I know there have been updates, and I appreciate the work that’s been done, but it’s something I’ve been looking forward to for a while. The current map icons feel too small, and the markers make exploration less rewarding because I often lose track of the spots I’ve marked. I’m a very visually oriented person, so having clearer, more visible markers would make a big difference for me.
This isn’t a “quit” moment, but it is more of an “I’d rather wait until this is improved” kind of situation. I’m very directionally challenged, so the in-game map experience matters a lot to me. I know there’s an interactive community map that was developed during the TLP video boom, but I’m specifically referring to improvements within the in-game map itself.
On another note, the increased draw distance has made the game look incredible overall. However, I’ve noticed that vertical assets like mountains and hills don’t always load properly, which can break immersion a bit.
I absolutely love the recent tree updates—especially in Farwood near the wolves. The addition of the giant trees completely transformed the area. It would be amazing if more trees and gatherables had that same visual impact. For example, coming across a Tier 9 tree should feel significant and visually distinct, reinforcing the sense of progression and rarity. Giving each tier a stronger visual identity would make gathering feel more rewarding.
I understand the game is still in development and that these improvements may already be on the roadmap. I also recognize that the team has limited resources and has to prioritize carefully. I just wanted to share my current thoughts and feedback.
Additionally, lighting feels like a major missing piece right now. I know it was reduced for performance reasons, but I really hope to see proper lighting reintroduced in the future, as it would elevate the atmosphere significantly.
maybe add a few jabs about the Titanfall. When something crashes that hard, a little humor almost feels mandatory.
Maybe even a subtle nod to AoC — formerly Ashes of Creation, now unofficially rebranded by myself as Ashes of Cremation. If we’re going to watch it burn, we might as well roast a few marshmallows.
We definitely plan to improve the map after we've been able to build out the world a lot more
Just had a possible quit moment that was averted by asking about it in chat that I figured I'd share here. I picked up a Taskboard quest to make 18 pieces of Hemp armor pieces. Each piece can vendor for 5c to 15ish copper per. I spent a while gathering and getting all of the hemp made to get this armor done and could have made about a silver vendoring all of these pieces. I finally get these pieces made and turn in the quest at the Task Master, and since the task said I'd be handsomely rewarded, I was expecting maybe at least 1 silver for my efforts.
I turn in all 18 pieces of hemp armor and I receive a whole 4c for my efforts. I mentioned this in global chat and felt that this was crazy unfair considering the time spent to get this done, and now I'm also cheated out of the money I could have made. I was informed that I received bonus crafting XP, and that is the reward. I didn't see any XP gain at all anywhere, and that would have alleviated the frustration I had in that moment if I saw (or was informed that that is the reward) that I had gotten a bunch of crafting xp or xp for my efforts. Someone mentioned in chat that XP will also start appearing in the log with the next patch which is awesome and would help clarify exactly what players are getting for these quests.
I know that this is all over 1 silver lol BUT as a new player, if I'm looking to pick up some task board quests or something and I kind of get disrespected by not having my time valued in any way in the early game (since from my perspective in the moment, I received a slap in the face as my reward for the quest), how do I think the rest of the game is going to be? In the moment it was pretty disheartening and had me asking if this is how quests are in this game, I'll pass.
We actually were planning to buff the gold slightly since it’s quite low vs vendoring
The xp being visible more clearly will probably help too
The primary reward is the crafting experience. It should have popped up via the exp bubble in the top right, but yea the log is currently missing that info and it bothers me greatly.
I do agree the monetary gain could be a bit better though as it is comically low - to the point that it feels bugged. This gets brought up quite often by new players so you're not alone here.
ahhh that's awesome to hear the gold rewards will be buffed a bit. Yeah, I completely missed the xp pop-up there. It'll be great once the xp gains are shown in the log
Yea, definitely missed that exp bubble lol glad I'm not alone!!!!
