A change I would like for illusionist is to the damage evade button, instead of it giving a 50% to dodge make it so either you dodge the next 3 atacks for example or the next couple atacks you take do 50% damage(these are all example numbers). Why this change? Because a 50% to dodge atacks is horrible to play whit in PvE and play against in pvp. You might get hit 4 times and take no damage or get hit 4 times and die, the things I suggested makes it so you can play around it whit damage over time in pvp and play around it in PvE by pressing it just before big hits.

We could look at making it less RNG, negating a hit or two would be a good mechanic for an illusionist
possibly take the stacks idea, make 2 stacks of mirage that reduce damage taken
or 1 stack that can be applied, negates next hit, then you could use the spell again in combat to avoid 2 hits

Duskbow could be the next 4 hits you take 20% less damage
Or next 4 seconds take 20% less damage
Also better then the chance to doge something
What if instead of the illusionist avoid hits the skills make the person attacking him Untarget his character, this would be interesting to see in pvp, if a player is fighting an illusionist he would have to pay attention if he was actually targeting their character, i think this suits well the trickery smartass idea of a illusion master.
harder to implend i think and wouldnt work well in pve
i think the wasps in the game already have a simliar mechanic to that, but your are right it could be troublesome in pve, though they could tweak it to become untargetable for 2 - 5 seconds for mobs maybe
yeah idk avoiding 2 hits alos alos fun to play around in pvp and pve while not being anoying as hell in pvp

I would love to see this. And have made this suggestion to Ry before specifically for this class.

Tbh just sounds absolutely horrible to play against, any ability that removes 1 of your core abilities like targeting feels bad

It doesnt drop the target. It makes them "forget" their cast
You keep the target. And you animate the spell. It just doesnt work

Function 1: Normal
Function 2: 100% dodge next attack within 6
Function 3: Can target an ally
Would be kinda good tbh
Just don't like chance in pvp scenarios, because you can win just by luck but that might be my opinion

Yeah, it is whit chance to dodge there isn't any counter play except wait it out
Whit something that is 1 or 2 hits there is counter play
Since a stole the idea from dota that is how it plays out
Crits are just a damage increase but nothing that should 1 shot you out of nowhere
dodge the next definitely would make for some cool moments of outplaying someone

illusionist was fine until i realized the dodge buff lingers another 4s after its duration
you dont get the buff after the 4s you indeeed get clapped
pretty sure it just a "animation length" thing that needs to be manually edited etc.
