#Vampire hunter - Holy Symbol blueprint

I found the blueprint from owen before i had found the Garlic.
I attempted to read the blueprint from quest inventory and it responded with 'you need to complete this part of the quest first'
I then discovered the garlic and handed them into Van, quest updated.
I then tried to read the blueprint and no response occured.
I went to blacksmith station and cannot find the blueprint from 'learned plans' at station, i tried clicking the background as was mentioned in a similar question logged here.
I have even tried creating a crucifix from silver bars using variations of 5 and 4 bars for the main body shaft...no joy and craft fails.
Help please

I just had an idea, i was using silver from my storage and did not actually acquire any silver during this quest hunt... i shall go and mine/process some bars now to see if that 'nudges' the quest progression

Yes, Owen gave me the plans in my screenshot

Yes, and now Van says i have everything i need and am ready to kill the vampire

Garlic was first then Holy symbol...but i got the holy symbol before garlic and i think that may have desynched the quest

I don't know why I am spacing on what I did to convert the blueprint into a recipe

Not any more, mine says to find and kill the monster that is ouside of edrivine

I think the quest skipped a step as i found the holy symbol blueprint before i handed in the garlic to Van

You hand in the blueprint, garlic, and silver all at once to unlock next step

ahh, i did visit him at one stage and he said thank you but there is one thing missing...the garlic.
I later found the garlic (as per our global chats) and he took them and said i am now ready to kill the monster

You are able to skip quest requirements past the initial quest.

Not sure if you are able to skip initial quest either, will need to retest it. But once you get the quest to craft the symbol you can just talk to Van again and he will push you to the kill portion with no symbol crafted

So seems like, you got the blueprint, but somehow skipped past the quest that would allow you to read the blueprint

Not sure if it has always been this way for this quest chain, but you are able to complete the intial quest requirements with just garlic.

Then just keep talking to Van and will eventually push you to kill portion

I just talked ot va after getting the items required and it pushed me right to the kill quest. I have the schematic in my quest items bag buyt no way to craft it. Like a dumb ass I put 5 garlic and 5 silver bars on the blacksmiths table and poofed them forgot about jewery table eitherway this is the same for my brother and we dont know how to make the sruffix

LOL game crashed when we killed him for both of us
