#Left Handed issues

I dont know why most game devs assume that if a person is left hand dominant, they should move with the right hand thumbstick … it is so frustrating to me. Most of the vr game i bought are like this at first and later on fix the issue by letting us switch the settings.

I know at the start of the game it gives us the choice but then in the setting there is no option to switch it up.

My compass is stuck in my left hand when i’d rather have it in my right hand, if i switch the dominant hand, it switches the sticks control too …

The thing is, my whole life i used the left stick for movements and right stick for camera. It always was like this. So why on earth would i suddenly reverse those controls just because its a vr game ? 😅.

The stick controls are a “preference” thing, not a “dominant hand” thing ..

Anyway, it’s not a big issue, but it just frustrate me a bit when devs decide that we “left handed” should play inverted just ….because… i guess xd 😅😂

As a fellow southpaw, there are settings to change all of these. Make dominant hand right and you'll move using left stick. Initial weapon holster will be for right but can purchase a left one.

There is an option to have the compass on either hand.

You can change which side your backpack, tablet, and compass are on via settings.

I've been saying since the first public release that we need both left and right-handed people to get the default controls. I'm fine with a setting that swaps them. Just don't tie that setting to left/right. I just say I'm right handed and ignore the backwards holster. It still works as expected and it's just the visuals that are funky.

Sure the game is still playable, like i said, it’s a pretty minor issue, i am just astonished to see almost every vr games doing the same mistake, going by assumption . As if nobody knows what’s it like to be left handed.. quick tip, nothing change but the hand im holding my guns…

How many left handed people do you know who use their computer mouse left handed? Some things we do left-handed because we're left-handed. Some things we do right-handed because it's far more practical in a right-handed world. This is one of those times when the left-handed option is far too awkward. Much like a left handed mouse.
