PCVR with RTX 5080, 64GB RAM, Quest 3
See the video. The weapon drop sound happens frequently. I believe this is supposed to happen when you are bumping your gun into a wall, but in this case it happens while walking outdoors and not bumping into anything. This bug has been around for a while, but I believe I have located the sound that is playing that shouldn't be. I think it's one of the ones in this folder: IntoTheRadius2/Content/Sound/SFX/Impacts/Weapon_Drop/Assault_Rifle
They are all roughly the same, so I'm not sure which one and it might not always be the same, but watch the video to hear what I am talking about. Knowing the file might help you track down where it's being called to play when it shouldn't be.
As far as steps to reproduce, it seems to come on randomly. It appears to happen only when the rifle is out (SR25 in this case) and not when it's holstered.

Sadly I can no longer turn on all the laser pointers. Trying to find where they are hiding that limit but no luck yet.

Doesn't matter. The game allows a set number of lights on at the same time since the 1.0 beta release. I think they enabled it first in .14.4 on the Quest. It really isn't needed on PCVR, so I hope they disable that on release. Or at least let me mod it. 🙂
I miss in ITR1 when you could turn a light on and set it on the ground. made getting around the grass anomaly easy. also made a nice distraction/lure for some enemies at night.
