I got fired from UNPSC

After completing the TOP mission to unlock the "Forest" area, upon returning to the facility, I am seemingly gunned down but not killed. The doors also do not open afterwards.
It is reoccurring and I do not have an earlier save file to go to.
I am using Quest 3 and streaming via VD, though I don't believe that's relevant here

One thing to note here is that before exiting the newly discovered area, I noticed I started sparkling and glowing blue as I approached the exit. However, I decided to loot the nearby house instead. When I finished, the sparks and glow did not show up again as I approached the exit. I am unsure if this is related to the issue in any way and also did not understand the purpose of the sparks. Did I accidentally skip a lore segment?

Bumping this post because I came back and the problem was still persistent
I tried damaging myself before going back to the gates, what happened instead is that my watch stats were frozen on max (full hp full stamina and stuck at 11 am) and the gate did not shoot, but they still didn’t open the gates

I’m gonna go back later today and just try to die and respawn to see if it fixes everything, I just hope that the new entrance to the forest is still accessible

Otherwise I’ll have to start a new file

pretty sure the damage is from parasite anomalies, they explode if you take damage or leave the zone afaik. Check your arm for black dots, pull them off

The doors not opening is an actual bug tho

idk why the doors are doing that but ur not being shot the noises you are hearing are the parasite anomaly

This is hilarious as a bug, but would be absolutely terrifying as a plot twist, considering the poor guy can't go anywhere outside the Radius!

Oh, just thought of it: if the explorers can't go outside the Radius, is the Facility itself IN the Radius?? Or is there some kind of "no mimic's land"?

Explorers can only go a short distance outside of the radius, they can still technically be on the outside. Just within a certain distance

I've had this happen to me maybe 3 times since i installed 1.0 beta 4. when it happened the first time i thought it was that wierd tar squeltchy anomaly that just explodes when you return. turns out after saturating myself a few times that wasnt it. but it didnt look like getting shot at.
