Night vision goggles are comically bright to the point that they genuinely hurt to look through. I tried out the monocular lens for about 10 seconds in the Forest map, my right eye still stings 15 minutes later. Flashlights also need to be buffed up slightly, as now the pocket lamp is neigh useless and the weapon-mounted flashlight still only shines out to about five feet in front of you

NODS need to have adjustable gain similar to Tactical Assault VR.
Tavr my beloved
I get realism and all but monocular NVG in VR is just a bad idea even if you adjust brightness, it's worthless. I get that it supposed to be used like for taking a shot and then removing them or something, but why would anyone in VR would use it?
Second NVG in progression aside from also being too bright even in pitch black forest, is broken right now and is offset up and to the right (I can't capture with a screenshot, it looks nothing like in person). Can we just have a good fucking flashlight? or flares that last a bit longer maybe? Fuck realism if it means playing the game is a literal pain.
If it's not fixed for 1.0 I really wanna see devs play on stream with their low tier NVGs and have fun.
ok you can actually see that's it's not right on the screenshot.
Fuck, monocular is even worse than I thought, because every time you bring your hand to your face, it flashbangs with a bright dot that indicates that you can interact with them to turn them off or something
The only complaint I have (I use the monacular) is that you can’t switch which eye it’s on. I understand most people aim with their right eye but it’d be cool if you could switch which side it’s on. As for the one that goes over both eyes, the only problem I see is that it’s just a black box that covers 60% of your vision with two green dots to look out of. That’s why I chose the monacular, because you can actually still see with it on.
As a left-hand, left-eye shooter, I'm happy to say you should* be able to swivel the monocular NVD by grabbing it with the trigger. I keep switching it when I'm leant too close to my tablet
*bugs notwithstanding of course 😅
but yeah this is my gripe with the NVDs so far, in that they affect UI elements that I personally wouldn't consider "real", like grab prompts, the equipment status panel, item info popups, and subtitles. Things like the tablet I completely understand though
I got tunnel vision from the level 3 cyclops nods
RETINA BURN HELL YEA
You can change it. You can grab it and move it to the other side
The monocular arm swings
And yeah the night visions are blinding lmao
Thanks, didn’t realize that. I’ll have to check it out
