#Anomalies damage too high for low settings

Yeah, the anomalies on normal are insane. I didn't realize just their difficulty could be changed, I will do that but it doesn't sound like it does enough.
It don’t. Can’t set it lower than low.
I agree: damage from the anomalies, especially the pain field, is overtuned. I have my settings on normal.
how do you not trigger the pain field
i think you just walk real slowly
There’s also a health display bug on changing zones at the moment. It’s possible that your health was lower than indicated before you got hit.
it's also a possibility you had parasite anomaly attached to you, that would increase the damage
I don't think I've encounter these anomaly yet. Do they stick to you and increased incoming damage or do they damage you by themselves?
from what i've experience, they don't do anything by themselves. You have them pop up on your arms (you can fling them off) but they will explode next time you take damage (blowing you up like a powder keg)
there is one exception I've found, They'll explode by themselves if you load into Facility 27. Potentially killing you even
From what I gathered they look like black dots lying on the ground. They then attach to your arm and you have to take them off before taking a hit from another source to avoid damage correct?
yep
If that's the case, maybe a sound effect while they are attached to you would be a good idea.
If they spawn in the forest I might have picked up some without realizing which could explain some of the damage inconsistency.
Do they only attach to your arm?
where are these goobers located and do they count as enimies or anomolies
oh they do have a sound effect when they attach to you. But even I disregarded it when I first heard it 😓 kinda a squishy sound
then there is a little POP sound when they go off
do you know where they are located
can be anywhere, but tends to spawn in buildings in later SEC levels
I think I didn't see them spawn until SEC 3
do you know if the count as entities or anomolies
Just got my SL3 I will keep an eye (and an ear) out for them. thanks.
