#MAKE MIMICS MORE DETECTABLE ON Q3 PLEASE!!!

Strong agree on the ability to spot enemies at a long distance. It often drives me mad trying to understand if a little grey smear hundreds of meters away is some random piece of enviroment or a mimic that has already spoted me and started mag dumping me. I do feel like having at least some small part of them glow would help tremendesly in being able to spot them from afar, regen fragments being prime example. Of course, you could argue that they are supposed to be hard to spot since most of them wear actual camoflage, but I digress. However I cant say I had similliar issues with room clearing. Most building combat I had was inside outskirt flats and rec center, and a strategy pf going slow and checking every corner worked pretty well, especially since some of them constantly make footstep noises, even if they dont move. Some however dont really make any noise at all, and I read somewhere that its because they enter ambush mode where they just stand in one place and wait for you to come into their sight. That means them being sneaky is an intended design, so I doubt devs would change that
Skill issue my ass. I've seen the PCVR models, they're so much easier to see than on Quest 3 because on Quest 3 they blend perfectly with the constant low-res gray background of literally everything.
Also, they are only loud when you are EXTREMELY close and in combat. I want to be able to hear them from further away and be able to pick out their figures among the gray background ffs.
If that ambush thing is as you say then that's pretty interesting. But I still think there should be some very subtle indicator that they're there. Maybe if you wait you can hear them check their magazine or maybe their breathing or maybe even a very very faint heartbeat. Could also do something similar with the ambush Spawns that stick to the walls by making the metal bits in them keep ever so slightly clattering against them or making maybe a very slight distorted wind-chime sound
Would be intersting if their close presence would be somehow detectable with some device somehow
Tablet upgrade? Let out a pulse that gives a general idea as to where the enemies are within a 150-200m Radius?
I feel like thats a bit too much. 150 meters is a lot. I meant more like if you are close to some ambush mimic, a device could warn you to its presence so you could get ready
Perhaps if there was an anomaly detector like from stalker
And it could work on ambush mimics too
I feel like that'd be a little busted.
With the tablet ping I said 'general idea', not an exact position. Maybe a red fuzzy effect to simulate enemies in that area, with it being more prominent the more enemies inside?
Well it wouldnt give away their position straight up, just a sound. You still have to find them, just that now you KNOW they are close
By anomaly detector in stalker I meant that thing that beeps the closer you are to an anomaly. It doesnt directly show where it is
At that point just add big markers saying *HEY HERE I AM, I'M SITTING RIGHT HERE, HEYY"
The models are pefectly visible on quest. Your lenses are probably just really foggy. They have footsteps don't they? Loud voicelines, gunshots obviously, and just using your eyes you can easily pick out the numbers, without requiring the game to hold your hand the entire time.
Again. I play on max fucking volume for everything. Their gunshots are loud, yes, but their footsteps, to me at least, are completely inaudible. Their voicelines are also only heard when you are EXTREMELY CLOSE. AND ONLY WHEN YOU ARE EXTREMELY CLOSE.
I don't want the game to "hOlD mY hAnD tHe eNtIre TiMe", I just want to be able to see these fuckers in the
CONSTANTLY GRAY FUCKING BACKGROUND THAT THEY PRESS THEMSELVES AGAINST TO MAKE ANY ATTEMPT AT FUCKING SEEING THEM IN THE DISTANCE FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE
ONE GLOW SPOT IS ALL I FUCKING WANT IN THAT REGARD
legit just a skill issue.
I can snipe them from the edge of render distance. Hell, with some of the more predictable ones I can snipe from beyond render distance.
They're not quiet unless they're in an ambush state (when they are INTENTIONALLY SILENT) and ambush enemies are always inside.
Simple solution: clear corners better.
Can't help you much with your blindness
