🛠️ Description: using the oil spray (on a handgun in the wise) immediately crashes the game for the other player. Can happen both for the host and the peer.
🛠️ Steps-to-reproduce: Put gun in wise and apply oilspray. Only tried it with handguns yet.
🛠️ Frequency: Not always (might be only when using it first time after loading a game, or only when the other person is closeby, not sure)

#Oilspray crashes other player

Just want to add my own experience to this its pretty infrequent.
In my games, it seems the host can use the spray can without issue. When the client uses the spray can, it can cause the host to crash but not always.
In my latest coop session, the host had a crash when the client tried to clean their weapon in one of the safe-houses in the forest. The crash occurred as soon as the spray can was used.
Later, at the facility the client was able to use the spray can without causing a crash.
Hopefully this is somewhat helpful
This seems entirely dependent on the can as the main thing. Certain cans will just crash the game for some reason. As client it seems like about half to a third of the cans will crash the game. As host it seems like it's maybe 1 in 20 but it still happens as host as well.
Best advice is just let the host carry the can and spray the clients gun down and save every time you're cleaning your guns.
I wonder if the crash happens when two different players use it? Ie, if host uses a spray can, client crashes when they use it
That hasn't been the case for me. I use myy own oil and it's literaly a 50% crash rate sometimes. We don't really share our oil.
We are also experiencing this. But in our case, issue only crashes the joiner when the host cleans the guns. So the joiner has to handle all gun cleaning to avoid crashes. I would say this is pretty much a 100% occurrence rate
