#Mimics see through things.

Stealth is fun. Suppressors are good for not attracting attention. But the mimics can see me in the dead of night with no light on. I get that the player is fairly conspicuous in most movements, but a slight reduction in night visibility or accuracy in darkness would be good.

They can also see through some objects. I have very often had them shooting at me from behind solid cover. I can barely see the top of their head (if at all), and all of their shots are hitting the barrier in front of them. They can also see through foliage. Big problem for the first mission in the outskirts. They can see and shoot from 30m away and I have zero chance of returning fire. Very fun environment, but not so fun when the concealment only conceals them.

I agree. Mimics should have a more complex vision.

Their vision is at times frustrating when they can spot you through dense foliage, hard-cover and darkness does very little to impare their ability to see.

Considering the amount of fog currently in the game, especially in maps like Peninsula they shouldn't be able to see very far (unless they're supposed to have som kind of infrared vision).

It’s not just that they see me through the hard cover that I’m behind. They can be entirely physically obscured by hard cover three feet in front of them and they’ll try to shoot. It’s entirely ineffective because the shots obviously don’t even get near me, they get caught immediately.

I've had that happen a lot as well. Sometimes it feels like they're not vision impaired at all.

I will say that they're better in .13 than any other version.
In a previous version they had instant lock, even when they had their back to you. Didn't matter whether or not you had cover, night time or anything else. They could see you.

I just tried the new map for the first time and I must admit that's the first time I've actually disliked the experience of ITR2. What a horrible horrible map.

It feels like they designed the map specifically to hinder your sight while boosting the enemie's.

They saw me form a mile away, behind dense foliage, trees and hard cover.
I do not believe a single enemy actually saw me. They all immediately began shooting in my direction through the foliage. It took them seconds to have eagle precision with their shots.

I just stood there... baffled... starring into the dense foliage that blocked my entire view of what was going on and it looked like something out of a Star Wars movie. I wish I had recorded it. Bullets where flying everywhere. From 180 degrees in front of me.
They kept yelling "Target in sight", as if they could actually see me, however, I assure you... They could not.

Right out the gate I dislike the map. If enemies where bound to the same rules as us I think the map would be super fun but as long the mimics have the super powers they have I think I'm only gonna go there for priority missions and even then... I just closed the game. I got completely turned off from the it. Holy crap.

Same. I really think crawling through the reeds and houses and stuff is a fun change from open forest combat, but it’s just impossible when they can see through it. I thought I was sneaking forward but apparently not. I’ve had pretty good luck shooting at muzzle flashes in the dark but there’s literally zero indication in that first area.

I had the exact same experience. Eventually i pushed through it and once you get deeper into the map its a lot better

I think for the time being it would be best if it was mostly creatures in the swampy part of the map
