Exactly what the title says, similar to how the game contractors exfilzone does it, I would love if you got rid of the stabilize aim button or even coupled it with gun motion smoothing. It smooths the users inputs ONLY when holding a gun, making it easier for people with shaky hands to make shots, I have no problem making shots from 50-100m away in ghosts of tabor/exfilzone and even ITR1, however for some reason when I hold any gun in this game my hands shake 10x the amount they do in real life, even when I use the stabilize aim function, and it is EXTREMELY immersion breaking to have to press a button to be able to make long range shots, rather than just having stable aim off rip.

The automatic motion smoothing on weapons in ITR1 1.0 was so annoying to me
I’m happy with how things are now
Pressing a breath hold button is not at all immersion-breaking to me
Because it’s something that I choose to do
I’d much rather have control than to have my weapons automatically feel like I’m moving them through molasses like in 1.0
I mean fair, but wasn’t that only with scopes?
So if you took the scope off it would be normal, and then for sniping the added stability is nice
No, I think it was any long gun
Scoped or not
But I could be wrong
I don’t use scopes much
Gun weight is the answer to all the problems
A little bit of gun weight would be nice
I suspect it’s what makes the guns in Metro Awakening feel good
To be fair, I’ve never played exfil zone, so maybe those guns feel amazing
I recently played some of “the burst” and the weapon weight felt really good to me
I feel too its diffewrent then in 1, I had no issue in 1 but tried sniping today in 2 and to hit a shot is fuuu, rng more then skill i would say xd
Tbf what artifact said with the weapons in 1 feeling like a slug when you didnt want is also a good point
So, I haven’t played exfil zone to compare
but whatever magic they are doing in Arizona Sunshine 2 or Metro Awakening is perfect
The guns feels responsive when moving them
unlike the automatic “molasses” mode from ITR 1.0
but there is zero shakiness to them
it just feels sooooooo good
I am replaying both “the living remain” and “Arizona sunshine 2”
I noticed that when I hold a gun in the living remain, it is super shaky….jittering all over the place
but when I hold a gun in AS2, it just feels super steady and nice
and my shots just land right where I want them 99.9% of the time
It was because of ITR1 that i spent 70 bucks on a gunstock holder for my remotes. Having somehting natively smooth could be good. To avoid the "slugging" the gun, maybe if there was a 'trigger' for the smoothing when you're looking down the irons or sights, like the game can detect when your display shows one of your eyes perfectly alligned (within a cone) of the sight picture or optic reticle.
Though that would make walking around with my eyes OFF my reflex or irons a bad habbit juist to get it to snap faster if i need to turn around... hmmm
