They are probably going to add it back as a setting

#

I do agree that you weapon weight lovers, should have your feature

#

As a setting

I am indeed a weapon weight lover, and yeah. An option to toggle it on would be greatly appreciated. I think it only gets to me because it was in the game then got taken away.

I personally hate it, because it feels laggy as it's not real weight. But I also understand some people may like it, and that it should just be an option

It was also one of my hopes for the original game to get weight sim, which it did during like a single beta. Never was fully implemented into the game and honestly it was like... 10x weightier than what they put into ITR2 at launch. The lag thing doesn't really register in my brain though because it's a singleplayer shooter. If it was a PvP game I might be more against the weapons feeling like real ones than having sub 1ms aim down sight time.

If it was like Walking Dead weapon weight then I'd totally be like "yeah, maybe tone it down", but it was so extremely subtle. Idk. I know the game doesn't release until 2026, but I just can't imagine playing it again without that. Worst comes to worst I'm going to figure out a way to mod it back in.

@nocturne mantle It's VR. It bugs me when there's physics that aren't in the physical world. It feels wonky. I get the appeal for it, I like boneworks for example. But if given the option, unless weight sim is absolutely perfectly implemented. I'd rather have weightless weapons and aim smoothing with a button

I might be okay with that if the aim smoothing button worked well. It snapped in and out constantly when I tried to use it, and I just don't vibe with it as it feels like the gun is underwater, whereas before it was just a tiny bit of sway more akin to actual weapon weight. Preferences vary person to person though. I honestly don't think a couple ms of delay for it to sway into place is that big of a deal for a Singleplayer game, but that's just me.

I just don't like felt lag in games

#

Both single player and multi player

#

It has nothing to do with being competetive

Fair enough. Options to turn it off should always be a thing.

#

I'm just upset because I LOVED it and they took it out of the game with no patch notes saying as much.

#

Like imagine the game started without it and they silently implemented it. I'm sure the people who prefer no weapon weight would feel equally as mad.

#

Also I never enjoy being the one making a fuss about stuff like this, but I fear the weapons will just stay feeling like ITR1 because the diehards are content with it and my opinion won't matter. So I shall continue to beg for an option to toggle it back on.
