5. BRING BACK KNIFES Cant belive i have to say this. But i was shocked to not have my most essential tool of the wasteland. Did you guys just forget about it?
6. Future Additions
If you guys add something like the guitar again, please make sure to do it right.
*suggestion: Give us the option to take it with us in a weapon slot. *
And please make sure it doesnt sound as bad as the original in ITR1.
My biggest issue with that was, that whether it played an upstroke or downstroke was RANDOMIZED.
Either try to detect if the player moved their hand up or down when playing, or only play downstrokes by default. It sounds so bad if you randomly play a different stroke.
And if you want to put a cherry on top, then also detect the velocity of the player hand when stroking and scale the intensity of the chord played. <3
Additionally: i fail to find any ranged/"sniper" rifles available. I might not be far enough or blind, but if there truly arent any, please add them in the future.

There is no NPCs in the game
And they will not be coming
Yeah the game is influenced by stalker
But it's not influenced by just stalker
The vibe of this game is to make you feel alone
That's why co-op is a bit of a stretch
You see a big cool base but there's nobody there
You are in a massive zone by yourself
He's just a placeholder, they'll add a real traveling system in the future
I agree with the guitar part, especially now that I'm learning the guitar
I believe snipers are coming in this next update, it's just speculation, but that's the only type of weapon we don't have, we have shotguns, handguns, smgs, rifles, but not snipers
There are coming
There's a clip of someone in a test world grabbing a knife and it crashing their game
These are good to know, thanks for the information on future prospects.
And i agree with you. The game clearly is supposed to make you feel isolated and lonely.
But, the current base-layout is counter intuitive to that. Additionally, i think that npcs dont automatically remove that. The base could act as a safe haven, giving contrast to the outside, where most of the gameplay would be anyway.
They have said in the past that no NPCs will be in this game
I personally don't find a need for NPCs
Everything is against the player
I don't think there's any humans living inside of the radius
Idk if that cannon or not
But I know there's not factions or anything like that
All the outposts we see in both games are empty
And barren
Signifying everyone died
Whether it would be by radiation, enemies, or anomalies
Fair enough, i respect their decision and your opinion.
But if we are going by the ingame world logic, then i have a few thoughts aswell.
- the base looks new and is set up for several people
- the player is nothing special and survives fine in the zone. If HQ sees us surviving successful, why wouldnt they send more people?
- we are part of active research inside the radius, retrieving and maintaining equipment someone set up before us
But this is not really a pressing matter anyway. I just wanted to speak my mind, i trust in CM games´ vision for the game. I just hope it becomes playable for me.
The thing is we don't survive fine, we constantly die and lose our memory and equipment so sending too many people would be hard to handle if they're all dying, losing equipment, and losing their memory
Also it's much easier to control one person
Than it is to control a bunch of people
Alr I'm gonna go watch my friend die on bo6 for the 30th time
i doubt itr will ever get a npc in the base game but itr 1 actuality did at one point did have npc's early in its development
Well we pretty much know that itr2 will never get NPCs
though it was weird as fuck in that version of itr 1 even with out said npc's
They've said it themselves
Depends on how good the modding system will be
true dat
I hope it's good enough to easily allow modders to add entirely new mechanics to the game
and maps
more was thinking along the line of fighting them inside either scp site 19 or the sgc from stargate sg1
or some custom story map
But I hope instead of just adding new guns or whatever, we'll be able to add new calibers, and new mechanics, like a new hunger system, or a new gun mechanic, like being able to blunt force kill mimics with your stock
honestly i'd be down for a custom story map/campaign as a mod for itr 2 even if said mod isn't a total conversion mod
With mods anything is possible (hopefully)
Including fighting for your life in wailing woods
honestly the melee with guns should be base game stuff but kinda see why it isn't at the same time
wailing woods??
It's finicky in VR
Of course
This guy is not an og Fortnite player
never played it honestly
